Many years ago, my ex-wife and I found the Heritage House in Little River and the actual bangalows where the film took place. The signs of the Sea Shadows Inn were there as well. Our love for the Menodcino Headlands, the movie and this song still tugs at our hearts to this day.

@songnight jane is actually very alive, and very well. she lives in maryland. saw her perform in s.f. 2 years ago. actually walked her to her room at the end of the night. chance meeting. her room was directly opposite mine on the same floor. very surreal. she's an amazing person.

I heard this when Mathis and Olivor sang it at the Oscars. I loved it instantly. Their voices blend so beautifully, and you can understand every word they sing. I ultimately bought the Johnny Mathis album that had this song on it. I listened to it over and over again. I'm not sure why I remembered it today, but I'm surely glad I did. Thanks.

I love the movie and this song. In 2000 I was driving up PCH to Trinidad and spotted the inn where the movie was made.  We did a U-turn and went back. They showed us all around, and had a lot of memorabilia from the movie. I'm really sad to hear that the inn is gone. It was a spectacular location for a great movie.
