@TheNinjutsuninja there is an official international competition that's for performances. ppl can compete in self defense, breaking, creative poomsae, etc. the competition is called the World Taekwondo Hanmadang, they're having it again this year in Korea. check out a vid of a korean university competing in the self defense category in my channel

Not a real knife I understand, but it looks like you catch her knife striking arm in your palm, not good and then toss her aside with the knife still in her possesion. I did tournaments for years in self defense competitions and these are basic examples of what not to do. You can make it real and hard and still not let anyone get hurt. The monkey flip worked out very well.

It is not me who called it that... Hosinsul is in Croatian interpreted as self defense... I don't know if it is the real meaning of the word, but it is how it is called in Croatian. If you don't like it, don't talk to me, talk to the person who is responsible...
It's a competition style. It's not a competition in fights, rather in thinking of a good self defense and then perform it the best you can... Look up some info before bad mouthing something...

Like I said, it all really depends on artist, not the art. Taekwondo is really a good art of defence.
