how does the shock handle dh

i want to switch reaer suspension to a fox shock like that. how do I know which 1 is compatible with my bike? like what do I have to measure?

Since then i have increased the air pressure to 185psi in the main chamber and boost pressure is set to 175psi. There is little difference in feel between propedal min and max settings, i tend to just leave propedal set to minimum.
