god damn... I'm totally stumped; either this or an M4 RIS for X-mas... I'm extremely familiar with the M4 systems because my first gun was an M4(sadly passed away because of old age), my second gun was an m16... and Ive never really used bull-pup weapons... and i'm having alot of speculation regarding the quality of the brand... never heard of Army Armament...

Yup...all the AA L85's have that problem.

its because the gearbox is an awkward shape and the amount of teeth on one of the gears is different to most AEG's, the G&G version has the same problem.

jamming? no, many people think that, if they paid attention, when they get a skill at arms test.. the instructor teaching will say "most problems are caused by human error", its quite true to be honest, treat the weapon with respect and it wont jam on you..

L85a1 definitely. Its just as small, has a full stock, an insanely long barrel length, but its nice and compact. plus its clips are way easier to find and its got better internals.

if you zero the sights in right, then they will. i'd say its pretty accurate. bullpup rifles tend to be accurate because of the longer barrel.

Heh, I guess you must really like this gun. I've held a real on before (and a LSW) and it's a very nice rifle. Perfectly balanced compared to the M16 and the cocking handle is real smoth to load too. Plus real SUSAT sights are so damn clear and have a sweet zoom on them too.

uh puttin in a 9.6v and a m120 spring wood just break the gun a lot faster, u need to upgrade the internals other wise it wont b able to handle the power that comes from both 9.6 and spring

if blowback operates eat more power from battery (moving parts). and if you want stronger spirg, then u will have to chage some gearbox elements to stronger.i think mine aeg stock spring between M110 and M120 so its approx M117 (not sure)custom in teh stock G&GL85A1. i hope i helped to you.

i got this rifle and the semi usually stops working after like 10 shots and then after around 20 with full i have to do the weel on mag. is this normal?

The semi thing is an issue. You shouldn't have to wind the mag after 20 shots though. Wind it up more!

Higher quality battery will help the semi issue also. Make sure you don't baby the trigger...pull that thing firmly!

I use the stock one that comes with it and a 8.4v large 1800 maH that I had laying around...UTG battery I think. Large battery only fits because I have an external battery pouch.

Yeah it's pretty sweet. I don't use the blowback though most of the time. I think it is a bit hard on the sector gear.

Yes the gearbox tends to get caught in a dead zone. You have pull the trigger fully in semi auto. Its not a big deal once you get used to it. The trigger is mechanical on this gun. A lot of aeg's do the same thing.

Hard to say what to recommend. If you like it get it. There is the problem with the gearbox dead zone in semi if you do not pull the trigger hard and all the way down. When that happens it won't fire until you do a burst in auto. That can be frustrating for someone who is new and if it is your first gun. The other thing is the gearbox is different than most guns. Parts MAY not be as easy to come by. Overall all though I love it and so far it has been a great gun.

You can buy the packs of gun cleaning clothes for 3-10 bucks and wrap em around ur cleaning rod and spray some lube on that and wipe down your barrel, or you can use CUT OUT squares of paper towel. Ripped squares have frays and some of those may get stuck in the barrel.

just use an old cotton t-shirt like i do, cut out a square, thread it thru the rod, spray the lube on it, give the barrel a good scrub (hop off mind) then throw that bit of cotton away nad repalce with a clean one, no lube and do the same then throw that bit away and replace it with a clean one, no lube, keep doin this till theres no dirt or lube on the bit of cloth when it comes out and thats ur barrel clean.
