I have been with Westnet since 2002 and until the past year or so everything was fine. Lately, I'm getting all sorts of problems which their once great service guys would fix so eagerly. But now, the service is crap and their email spam filter couldn't catch a beachball and they couldn't give a rats.
So much for iinet's "It will be the same old Westnet you all love".
I used to be with Westnet but I was getting ripped off $80 a month for 1.5mb 50gb/50gb plan so I went with TPG ADSL2+ Reach Plan for $60 a month 100gb/100gb and now I'm getting 1mbps download speeds and I barely even reach half my on or off peak download limit! I've never been happier with my Internet speeds!
lol change isp, thats what they want me to do is simply leave them because they cant fix the problem so they simply just try and make the problems go away , its the easy way out , they keep telling me its exchange problems , YET most ppl that are in my street with diffrent isp s are on the same exchange with no problems.work that one out

@dtm031 Im not sure if you realy do know the law , recording somone without them knowing ISNT against the law , but playing it in public forum is against the law, but all you have to do is give it to a friend and what they do with it isnt against the law, as its a 3rd party.i had an issue with westnet having congestion on the exchange causing it to run so fkin slow , but they just had to be truthfull about it and not bullshit to me as to why it was bad , its the lies i hated.

If you didn't work at Westnet you probably wouldn't understand what this is all about. The culture at Westnet was always like family. We didn't work there for the money - there weren't any bonuses or incentives apart from what you got at your annual pay review. Everyone who worked at Westnet did so because they were working for something they believed in, treating people like people. Working at Westnet has been a once in a lifetime experience. I am truly honored to have been a part of that.
iPods and digital cameras were from Westnet wanting to reward the CSRs for a job well done. And these went to everyone.
iiNet comes in and Westnet wins it again, iPod? no. Camera? no. A free lunch was given, and only to the people that iiNet cared about, full timers. As a casual, I got nothing. Way to screw over your own employees.

I'm on Westnet IP Star satellite now and their service and reliablity is CRAP.
They speak big, but deliver little
Right now, the TIO are investigating them, at level 4 and they don't even reply to them.
Westnet is CRAP !!!
Also, Westnet is a SCAM, because their system is designed so you can't talk to anyone above the level of technical help

What I meant by bonuses is renumeration bonus. iPods, digital cameras, xbox, lunch, cake days = perks.
