  • Somebody knows the name of first song?

  • kind of just nicked Pendulum's Slam, then lost all melody for beats, i mean sure he was good at the beats don't get me wrong, but between that and the cuts of constant insults to the audience didn't make me feel excited. Much prefer c2c.

  • ooooooh. My mistake people. I thought this guy won the 07 World DMC. My mistake. He's still sorta cheezy though. :P

  • mixmaster qbert mixmaster mike mixmaster jazzy jeff n dj A-trak need 2 slapp da shit outta dem bullshit azz caint beat juggle 4 shit caint even bby scratch azz wanna be dj's on DMC

  • @WESTHAMPTON , Agreed 100%. The main thing I see missing from a lot of these guys competing in the DMC now is ORIGINALITY. As well as a lack of technical skill because they're using RIGGED RECORDS. Qbert, Mixmaster Mike, A-track, Craze, Klever, Kentaro, Prime Kuts, Jazzy Jeff, Roc-Raida (RIP), etc. would fuck this DJ up all in their own unique ways. This (so called) champ Crossfingaz doesn't even come close to those past DJs that I listed. SO WHY THE FUCK IS HE THE 07 WORLD CHAMP??

  • Hmmmm...I'm a novice so i cant say too much, but his act seems to be all show and no substance, a bunch of samples tryna make it seem "hardcore" i guess? Kinda LAME

  • This is boring if this is where the scene is at I'm very sad.Posturing and making noise ain't what its about.

  • wow this kid needs to chill.

really takes away from his actual skill the whole negative vibe over the top.

  • i reckon Noize is a fucking good turntablist!! cant fault these dudes though, snazzzy skills!

  • Forgot DJ Plus One on that list. (even though he uses pressed vinals) good musical flow through the whole routine.

  • Why does Dj Kentaro get forgotten in all these good DJ's. Say what you will but he mad a lot of these routines way back in the day. Plz tell me why?

  • you find that if ppl can to dance to it thy don't win, so it has to mad/crazy of the wall juggles or they have no chance.. if i was a judge i would mark it on listening plesure technical ability.. 50/50 after all music is suppost to be enjoyed.. right?

  • aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh witscheee aaaahhhh

  • holy crap sk7. The last dj was not kentaro or noize.... Q-bert developed the prism skratch in 2006.....Just breaks.....Ummm craze, dopey, rafik. bahhhhhhhhhhhhhh Freeesshhhhh

  • using one gimmick record in your whole set is WACK!! i dont care what you groupie snitch bitches say! Ratfik aint no different than this QBERT CLONE!

  • 2 previous posts are @ DJSucKa7shot

  • jeej belgen met succes :DD zou ik da ma ook kunne zijn

  • the "LAST" dmc routine was dj NOIZE back in '96.....go check it...

  • Here's why the DMC is so gay now:

    1. Stop the "gangsta" shit... it's gay, and ya probably don't even own a gun.

    2. Is all ya can mix hip-hop and breaks?? apparently so. It IS 2008 you know.

    3. I've been hearing the same damn "aaahhhhh" sample being scratched for like 20 fucking years... SERIOUSLY 20 YEARS!! Q-bert already mastered this shit BACK in the late 1980s!! (I'm a DJ too, so I know why you love to use the "aaahhhhh" sample, because it's totally foolproof and easy as hell to scratch)

  • your first point :

    1. Stop the "gangsta" shit... it's gay, and ya probably don't even own a gun.

you write that sentence in gangter slang yourself dumbass, get out of here please.

And btw, watch ur own vid dude, you suck donkeyballs

  • yea mythix2 but he has a point thats the thing hes trying to prove. And all his shit is true...

  • DJSK7 you are right on all points! The shit is all imitations of imitations now. However, one DJ who is very innovative is ATRAK... I gotta give homie props... Other than that, most of these DJs suck ass, and get hypnotized by noise rather than developing some serious rythym that bitches can dance to and shake dat butt. That's what it was all about when the shit first started. I don't know what happened... DJ-ing just fell off... with a few exceptions. Jazzy Jeff is still killin shit, tho.

  • @qubit966 what do you mean? most of the battle legends are still killing it..from Jeff,Q Bert,Craze,Mix Master Mike,ATrack,ect... it's just the new battle dj's have lost some flavor

  • @DJSK7shot just watched one of your vid, funny you was scratching on a ahhhh !!!

secondly you're wack ! stop being hater and show us some real skillz

  • @DJSlam76 , Yes you're right about "ahhhh". I was also NOT competing in the DMC World Championships... And practicing mixing breakbeats with trance...

  • wow. this shit is lame... I would say after Kentaro won in 2002, the DMC was over. it's just been a bunch of losers after, with custom records to make their work sound WAY more complex than it really is. DJ Craze and DJ Kentaro were the last sensible and real champions of the DMC < which is now dead as there is NO Originality from this loser generation.

  • i couldn't heb but googling you (not with much effort i admit) and did not found anything you took part in let alone anything you won... so either google sucks, or you do...

  • to hate the player hate the game my friend!!!!

  • Thank you, finally someone realizes the same thing I have been pissed about since 2003... After MMM, Kentaro and Craze it's just meh. Honestly how could anyone even beat those (so before there time) classic routines.

  • PTRIX FOOL!

  • @DJSK7shot buuuuuuuuuullshit....check out DJ Netik....now stfu and sit down

  • @DJSK7shot Um Fly, Netik, Shiftee, Rafik, I.E.Merge all dope. And all with their own style. So why don't you stop complaining and go practice, Cuz ur fucking garbage!!! Like seriously, you should just quit. hahaha LOSER

  • @glict ,Those 4 DJs you listed are great. And I respect them. However most battle DJs are more like this crossfingaz kid, and they suck. I don't wanna hear a 6min routine with hardly any transitions, just connected by a bunch of tough talking samples...

You, however, might think that's cool just because you're happy listening to beat juggles and crab scratches all day.

  • @DJSK7shot I'm sorry I respect talent. I don't piss and moan when EVERYBODY isn't coming up with the next "NEW THING" besides. It's not like this guy won. He deserved to go to the finals.

  • don't tell me this is the set that won the world?

  • sfhgsdfrrghrghsbrghrkhvjbrhgfhrbghysghdbvhsregbahbfdgbhsdfbrehbfhdsbvuhyrbfhedbvgkurbfljedsbvfhafliedlvchbvadsvhbrfgedlfbrdgbdslhvbkfyhvbldjvbrfgrfbgtfaikuybrfhbslvchabklvdadsjchrfybgasdbvhsrbgljdsnvhfbgvjdfvhdysavfdglrdbvhdbvkhfbvkbvkrfbdbcvkjuajdsnvcsbdfyafgjadnvhjaebvfkhdblvaksjdclsakdnlafhrbgrehgiuy49tufejhbfsjdcvbnilayvferjfdlbvacwseifbrehbgeirhgtrgtugheirdfviurihjrfigbhfvbvjdndfnfrdfjrjrrujdjd bdausedruerduderudrewhufhfhfhfhwiufediugfjfriugeuighjurgheruihgfoiurwhgfuierghossefgsefhswfgsreyu

  • this dj is a really good good

  • 'Hatin' is part of the battle and the whole point of DMC is to bring new techniques to the stage and push Turntablism forward.

There is not one single technique on this set that has not been done by hundreds of other Dj's for years.

I only hope 08 gives us another Craze - not in style but originality. Its been time since a DMC DJ has the effect that Craze, Noize, A Trak and Q'Bert had.

    That set IS dissapointing

  • Thx for putting this up,...

  • why's everyone hating?? let's just say it's very different seen live... his scratching is crazyyy. whatever, good or bad... he still did well in DMC 07, and i think there's a reason, which some ppl might be missing.

  • routines made from custom records are on a LOWER plateau.. everyone knows that shit..

you know it... and i know it..

  • yo crossfingaz,

sry man but imma have to teach you a lesson!!!!!! word from toronto dmc champ 07

  • very customized fake set... bring the old school...

  • there should be 2 different battles... 1 for WACK ass custom records... and another battle WITHOUT custom records for the OG turntablists that keep pushing the boundaries...

FACT = custom records can make a beat juggle sound INSANE, when they are actually just using a "BASIC" BEAT JUGGLING PATTERN..

  • you have no idea how much i agree with you. people eat this shit up like fucking candy its kinda sad to see that what happend to hiphop is happening to turntablism, turning something that was pure and raw into something so stale and plastic

  • i doesn't matter custom records or not,i've seen dj's using original records but they had no rhythm...it's all about how good somebody scratches and juggles....sure the patterns on the record may help, but i've seen crossfingaz freestyle scratchin' and they are even better than mine.

  • its a matter of opinion, i love my funk and would rather watch d styles and ricci rucker all day then this boring ass bullshit. look up "dsytles at the armory" thats some straight funkiness..

  • Don't get me wrong,i've been collectin' original hiphop records since the eighties.

The problem with dstylez/ricci/qbert is that they always use the aaaaaaaah/fresh sounds in their sets..saw Q a couple of weeks ago and 90% of his performance was just scratchin' aaaah to a breakbeat that we heard a 100 times before.

That's fuckin' boring and not innovative.

  • yeh I kinda agree with you, Q is an insanley good scratcher but he should switch it up a bit, he always talks about how he loves jazz , then why doesnt he take turntablism to it? scratch up a saxophone riff or something! u gotta respect DJ's like kid koala and teeko, its obvious how much more thought and time goes into their sets. Cross is a good scratcher but he seems unable to make a decent routine, and his custom wax and strange samples are wack.

  • i don't like DJ's switchin'over to jazz or stuff...DJ Revolution is my kind of DJ that incooperates raw hip hop phrases to his beats...that's my style. the expririmental crossover stuff don't really exite me.

  • not necessarily use a jazz beat, could scratch a sax riff to a hip-hop, whatever but stuff like that just shows individuality, right now too many peoples style sound the same and Qbert skratching Ahhhhhh constantly doesnt help. As for full-on crossover I think it is good cus it widens turntablism appeal, It just comes down to musical preferences, personally i like the jazz stuff but not electronica/techno stuff.

  • u gotta search for "grandmaster flash traktor" here on youtube...he's scratching with some funk songs...i love it

  • yea i agree but u can't say that about d styles at all he just pure funkiness even in his technical shit it still comes through. i dunno if u say that dstyles at the armory but when he cuts up "rhymes like a scientist" its all mad funk and he doesn't go all outlandish on it..btw to anyone out in seattle djshadow & cut chemist comming next month tickets prob. gunna be sold out sometime soon

  • no they don't- Ricci and D commonly cut over instrument samples (i.e. strings, horn riffs, etc.)have you ever heard dstyles phantazmagorea?

  • DMC is no longer what it used to be. now any sorry ass fake so called "DJ" can enter with his custom shit. what a fucking shame.

  • fuck Tony Prince. Raise a Fist.

  • Good technical scratching but very, VERY boring

  • WACK

  • did this guy really just do a whole set with two records???

  • yeah these days they make custom records. it cost about 500 dollars AU for a double sided record that you put what ever you want on. good for the sets like this, if you have the money...

  • wtf? that shit is wack!!!!!

  • ZZZZZZZZZZ

  • Dope! En fuck off Doggluck

  • Fucking boring
