yes, this movie is based on the book by pittacus lore. the sequel is called The Power of Six. Not as in Number Six, but the remaining six. Extremely good and they might make a movie sequel. I think the third book is to be called Rise of Nine or something

Plus it only took two of them to kill these so called bad-ass aliens chasing them. For an action film it works but the plot holes realy pissed me off and the acting was just awful. @adsasfd He is called number four because he is the fourth of the Gardes (the most powerful of their kind) who went to earth and wait for their legacies (powers) before returning and rebuilding their planet (Lorien).

@adsasfd they are protected by a Loric charm so the Mogadorians can't kill them or harm them if it's not by their numbers, If the Mogadorians do, whatever they do to harm/kill will be bounced back to them. So basically, killing five, six or nine will be a suicide if they havent killed four yet. The scars on their legs also serve as a warning.

@adsasfd Actually, the movie explained it but not as deep as so people can understand clearly :) They are hunting the numbered aliens, not for power transfer but because they have the power to restore/rebuild the the planet Lorien, and also, the nine kids are holding the charm to do so, and the movie explained that the Mogadorians want to colonize the earth, so i guess they are hunting the nine kids so no one can protect the earth from them too. :)

@adsasfd About the dog, Bernie Kosar isnt an ordinary earth dog. It is from their original planet too, if you didn't observe, Bernie Kosar is also the Iguana-like, which went down from the truck when they migrated to Paradise, Ohio. yeah they can change shapes to fit in to the earth.
