  • cd's are way to mainstream:L

  • LOL

  • Your a tit

  • daft punk ayee!

  • Vinyl on Power

  • vinyl was always better anyways, only those who dont have it say otherwise

  • @Omdog1000 Agreed. In today's world, where you can easily get all of the music you want for free, why would anybody buy a cd? When you can carry around your music collection on an ipod or phone, the portability that made CD format so popular is redundant. More and more music fans that want to own a physical representation of the music they love are turning to vinyl. In 2004, less than 1million vinyl records were sold. In 2011, nearly 4million were sold while CD sales continue to plummet.

  • hahaha lolol did he put a cd on a fucking turntable?, just to show it wouldnt play. Cuz he knew vinyls are better lololololololol

  • @vondur6 Daft Punk – Da Funk

  • JAJAJ GENIAL!

  • Your kids are so dumb vinly is true sound digital is fake

  • @nano952 Except 99% of albums are digitally mixed and mastered today, removing all advantages of an analogue medium.

  • LOL!!!! xDD

  • This seems like a legitimate experiment, congratulations on your scientific conclusion! :D

  • trololo

  • hahahah ur awesome

  • Hahahaha

  • hahaha oh my god - please tell me this was a joke?!

  • @djsrouji its a sarcastic joke that tells the truth.. CD's sucks compeard to vinyls

  • @GrungeyMr everyone is entitled too their own opinion - & mine is that CD's are better FOR ME!!! i can't say for the next DJ's - but FOR ME!!! i am comfortable & HAPPY with CD's

  • @djsrouji LOL! Calm down i said "compeard to" jeeezzzzz

  • @GrungeyMr just saying :)

  • thats the point!

    CDs DON'T WORK!

  • I keep hearing that vinyl sounds better, so I bought a bunch of vinyls but then when I put them in my CD player, they sounded like crap!!

  • Austin Powers did this test in 1997, you fail.

  • You So Raith

  • funny.

  • I want the daft punk Vinyl!

  • You sir, are a genius!

  • looooooser

  • Legend!!!

  • I have tried to use CD-es in the nineties but they did not sounded much better than this so I went back to use vinyl. This time I have used a few tricks though: top quality preamp and turntable, vacuum cleaner specially designed for vinyl records, special stands for the gear.

  • What an asshole.

  • Vinyl all the way can anyone tell me where i can get some good cheap needles thanks

  • Loved it

  • awesome video

  • austin powers joke

  • u crazy. but i like u hah

  • I lul'd.

  • I have a record player in my living room so I listen to records sometimes. I also found a few vinyl MP3s on line so I added them to my computer.

  • Nice man, which Merzbow album was that CD?

  • I saw it coming before the video even started. 0/10

  • hey man that was a really funny joke

    in austin powers

  • Hahaha. Vinyl sounds better then CD. And to the people who say "Oh! Well you can't put a damn record in a car!" You do know that most turntables now a days do have a USB plugin to where you can record you records to your computer right?

  • @cooley92able I never even know they still sold record players. The one I have in my living room is like from the late 80s early 90s.

  • @cooley92able I never even know they still sold record players. The one I have in my living room is like from the late 80s early 90s.

  • Lol

  • ----The joke---->

    People's heads

    Whoooooosh.

  • what the name of that record?

  • @MrGateKing Da Funk

  • hahahahaha..... i love it..... some dumbs still insists that vinyl sounds better than cds....

I don´t know why those people love clicks, noises, hum.....hahaha....

    digital sound is perfect.....

  • @bobosemlimit The sad problem with cds is that the sound is and is noramlly more compressed more than viyal

  • but you can't play a record in your car , it's a love hate relationship with CD's but I do have them but i collect records i don't collect CD's.

  • Lp is mutch beter !!

  • beautiful slipmat of Cypress Hill..

  • the record is oldest and longest used format for music. The old saying is records get scratched and wont play well so do cd's they will skipp too. theres just something about record that had endured and i believe that people will still be playing record long after the cd is gone.

  • @mcfuson37 CDs are near their death, most music is done online now days, and it is saved in a file. The only thing that can happen to a .mp3 file is that it becomes corrupt or you delete it. It will always sound the same as it did when you downloaded it, and you can have literally 1000s on 1 device smaller than any record or cd player.

  • @mcfuson37 The CD is well on its way out. Vinyl sales have been increasing for the last three years.

  • You dont put a cd on a turtable thats why the invented THE CD PLAYER!!!

  • i AGREE.

  • @mrt246007 it was a joke you dickhead

  • fu you have horrible reasons

  • i want that da funk 12'

  • i think the cd sounded better pplus it sounded like you were about to do dubstep at end

  • you cunt ahahahah

  • hahahha

  • That cant be good for the stylus!

  • Greatest experiment ever. Vinyl will always have that special sound that CDs can never master.

  • oh,4 crying out loud!!!!!

  • get a partnership!

  • lol

  • lol

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • lol

  • ok, i've just watched the 2nd part :)

  • put the vinyl into the cd player and check once again :P

  • Get a job!

  • @kmitka if it will fit lol ;-p

  • hahahahahahahahaha

  • Daft Punk, fuck yeah!

  • stupid.

  • hahaha

  • Vinyl the best xD Daft Punk!

  • VINYL TECHNO XD ELECTRO ♥ COOL

    elecromusic arts & vinyl forever

  • vinyl sounds better, it's analog. analog will always sounds better than digital because it hasn't been changed into a representation in bits (digital). instead, it is the true waveform

  • Ahaahhha .... great test !

  • HAHAAHHAHAHAHA!

  • DUDE !!@#$#@

  • HAHAHAA Love it

  • Lmfao, I was expecting a shit video, but this is lovely

  • the last scratch was lame, i'm sorry :(

  • jajaajajajajajaj and you knoww thaat !

  • i have to say I liked the cd better

  • a vinyl in a cd player does not give sound.

When you put a cd on a turntable you'll also hear nothing so you can't know D:

  • Lol, no one needs to prove that vinyls sound better than CD's. Everyone knew that when the designs for the first CD were made in the 70s.. It's like any digital vs. analog comparison; when you listen to vinyl, you listen to music, and when you listen to CD's, you listen to coordinate points.

  • Which part of the vid was easier to see??? The cd part ( very steady no shaking) or the Vinyl part ( very shaking had no idea what the fuck was going on) lol but good vid made me laugh lol

  • hahaha!

  • HAHAHAHA...

    Hilarious!

  • The CD sounded better lol

  • da funk baby!!!!!

  • If you take away vinyl's LF limitation(mixing to mono below 60-50Hz), and its tendency to wear and develop clicks and hisses, and play the record on a QUALITY turntable(A Dual or Technics NOT a Emerson child's record player!!) it is much closer to source tape than even WAV/CD.

  • @Zickcermacity The clicks and hisses can be taken away quite easily they're just dirt collecting in the groves

  • With music like that it doesn't make any difference, both sound like shit.

  • WIN

  • Now this is why CDJ's are so over-rated!!! :P

  • proved once and for all

  • wow and how many of those black things can you put in your HDD ? :D fucked right ? just stop this nonsence LP have no future they will die off one beautiful morning if not naturaly then I'll take care of it

  • @predvcecerom It has to start with something, you obviously have no respect at all. Are you a DJ?

  • @appzsk8 Oh I have a respect and I respect everything as it begun to now a days but technology wont stop and should not be stoped.. I like analogue stuff but the digital is the way it will be :D so people should just forget about LPs they are lame

  • @predvcecerom Lol you must have bad ears. You're probably the same guy who could never tune a guitar or sing. You have no business with any opinion about any music if you can't even hear the difference between LP's and CD. The fact of the matter is quality, not quantity. Lol idiot.

  • @predvcecerom You think mp3's are the future, but from the looks of vinyl sales lately it seems more like your living in the past. Vinyl will never die as long as there are audiophiles and people who love warm, full sounding music.

  • Guess I just wasn't in a good mood at the time.

  • Comment removed

  • win, just win.

  • 49kasey i don't think you get the joke.

  • epic :D

  • awesome

  • will i love the test and yes i thing that vinyl does sound a hell of a lot better then CD`s

  • Okay, fuck it, I'm getting all kinds of flak from stupid assholes who are defending this joker and don't want to know the truth. I've been into vinyl since the '60s so if you want to know the facts I'll be happy to give them to you.

  • @49kasey the whole point is that people came here interested, and this guy has made a good joke of it. i laughed, as did many others. i find it hard to believe that you can't understand the fact that the video IS A JOKE

  • what song is that ?

  • whats the name of the real song

  • well. i think i'm going now to buy a technics sl-1200 mk2 turntable and some daft punk vinyls...

  • LP was better when the studios use reel to reel for their master, it was true Reproduction before 89, Now they use dat which is sample rate, still sound good, if you listen to a SACD which has about the same bit rate as a DAT deck DSD and 24-bit, 176.4 kHz PCM recordings, the music is recorded on to a dvd 7.3gb. It will sound better then LP, will cost you $800 for a good SACD player an also play CD'S and DVD's and you need a good receiver or preamp/amp.

All my old stuff, prefer on vinyl.

  • so true

  • Haha I loved this!

  • You make so many misinformative videos that I really have to take issue with you and I am going to be coming after your ass from here on! You aren't funny and I don't appreciate your coming on like an expert especially regarding vinyl because you don't know shit. I have been well into audio for almost 50 years and I'm all about phono and loudspeakers and I am making it my mission to prevent you from misinforming people. JERK!

  • @49kasey Can't stand humor U MAD? YES U MAD PUNK!

  • @SunlandCore No point in defending him. And I'm probably old enough to be your grandfather, so it's you that's the punk. The guy is a loudmouth coming on like he knows everything. Nobody likes someone like that, so just wise up, okay?

  • @49kasey Dude, fuck you he's kidding around. He's not acting like he knows it all. Just chill and don't act like you got shit up your ass 24/7. You need to lighten up.

  • @49kasey eat a relatively large cock

  • hhahaha, you are so funny!! made me a day!!!

  • DEJA DE HACER ESTUPIDECES... IMBECIL

  • Funny!

  • I laughed. :D

  • DAFT PUNK

  • can't beat turntables! :)

  • you just made my fucken day!

  • Vinyl > CD > Digital

  • hahaha ur nuts ya know that dont ya

  • in all seriousness, if a new reccord is played with a new needle, it sounds better than a CD

  • @thedexterbros In all seriousness, not really. New vinyl on a slightly worn-in needle sounds better, but not a new needle. New needles are almost always too harsh on the first 15 spins or so.

  • @trumpet90909 Oh really? Well then, what I mean is a record is actually a sound wave on plastic or vinyl etc, hence it is more accurate to the recording than a CD, which is 0's and 1's, electricity is not needed to hear the sound on a record, just the friction of a needle - but yea I hadn't thought about that a new needle would be too harsh, good point

  • señores.. me voy a la mierda jajajaja.....

  • Vinyl is better end of :)

  • It is actually science. 16 bit and 42000 hz stands for the number of points a computer is putting on a cd during a certain time period instead of the actuall song. A vinyl has the actuall song on it. Its the original soundwave, the cd has just a digital reproduction of the music on it.

  • no dicussion needed. he is totally right!

  • This is science, you've got all the arguments you need to proof that vinyl is better!

  • LMAO

  • what the fuck is this shit

  • he must be a stoner! id eat my bud if he isnt :)

  • @dan8945 better a stoner than someone whos intrests are gay porn, and someone whos put on their own account im a cocksucker?? thats one nasy habbit you got there.

  • stupid fuck

  • lmfao, only cd's use a laser to read them :-)

  • It's simple.

Vinyl + cassette: Queen, Bowie, Wham, Lead Zeppelin, Beatles, ACDC, Meatloaf.

CD + digital: Beiber, Cyrus, Jonas Brothers, Dubstep, Rebecca Black.

If only Mumford and Sons came out of vinyl.

  • @PureZOOKS mumford is on vinyl. just bought it the other day!

  • @crunchafyme Hot diggity daffodils! Now all i need is a record player :p

  • @PureZOOKS

actually, i have several dubstep vinyls, and i also have those same dubstep vinyls on cd, and the vinyls are way more bassy, warm, and fucking awesome.

  • @BluntAnim shame.

  • cd did sound better in this case//

  • Remember putting a penny on the stylus to make the record sound better lol! I'll probably be shot for that!

Listening to Japan 'Gentlemen take polaroids' album on vinyl atm, sounds sublime, the hiss and crackle really add imo.

  • your a twat

  • depends how the music was recorded... an old record will sound better on vinyl than it's digitzed version but a new album will sound just as good on a CD with good headphones/speakers.

  • @turgore You know what your talking about, I agree 100%.

  • dude, i'm gonna do the test for real, cause i listened to cds my whole life so i don't know how a record compares. i'm curious now. just gotta buy a record player now and hook it up to a stereo with a cd player.

  • 30 year old hipsters with deff ears. it is physically impossible for a vinyl record to produce the frequency range, clarity, and quality of a digital recording. do any of you realise what youre asking a needle to do? you cant possibly expect vinyl to be better, this is pure ignorance. its like saying a Ford Cortina from 1972 is faster and handles better around a track than a 2010 Ford Focus. it just WONT. vinyl has its place with its warm imperfect hiss and nuance, but thats where it ends.

  • @Stevenwilliams11 u seem to have miss understood the concept of a pisstake... and anyway vinyl has a warmer sound to it, u dont look at sound on a graph or on a chart u listen to it and the fact is most people when asked prefer the analogue sound of a vinyl as it is uncompressed as opposed the the digitally compressed sound of a cd or mp3.

  • @Stevenwilliams11 16-bit CD audio can't compete with vinyl in terms of sound quality. Too bad it's the standard, since digital audio can be so much better.
