u have to go to edit gh mix in the start menu and then use the d pad to decide wut note pattern u want, and go to step record on the menu on the left and then u can make the song note at a time depending on whether u have 1/2,1/4,1/8,1/16 or 1/32 notes. its pretty easy once u get used to it lol
