Actually if you knew anything about Land Rovers you would understand that the best ones (Series, Defender) are VERY cheap to maintain. They are extremely easy to work on, meaning you don't have to go to a mechanic, and in the UK the parts are very cheap and easy to get hold of. Perhaps that's different in the US. Range Rovers are expensive to maintain, yes - especially the later ones filled with electronics.
