  • hello nice setup! whats the name of that weight device?

  • very modest set up yet fantastic sound. great synergy you have there.

  • cool record clamp, what is the phono pick up? Have the orginal 33lp do u think the 45 version is worth the 50$ they are asking?? Nice cool system good old school system. High value price preformace. consider more laid back speakers, pro-ac 1s or dynaudio, smooth relaxed sound vs detailed forward B&W sound.

  • Thanks for the comment : ) My phono pickup is a Sumiko Pearl. Great sounding budget cartridge. I think the 45 version of Rumours is definitely worth $50. I've listened to the 33 version and personally feel the 45 version has way more detail. I guess there are a lot of factors to consider like what kind of system your listening through and whether or not you're a critical listener. Thanks for the recommendation on speakers. Right now, I'm loving these B&W"s. Take it easy!

  • @mingusthecat1976 cant lose with either speaker, just something to audition if ur looking for something different than the B&W

thanks will pick up the 45 copy as i do listen carefully via my AR-ES-1 turntable with audioquest arm & currenlty a audio tec AMl 440 pick-up going to a set of revel F-50A which are larger but have a similar forward detailed sound as ur B&W

  • Yum.

  • nice setup

  • Bikingshaun, get some brass cones and place them under the Marantz.

  • I have this receiver and have been thinking about getting it up and running. It's missing a foot - any idea where I could find one?

  • #$(#*% That is a bad ass turntable, what is that?

  • Thanks : ) Its a Thorens TD 166 mk 2

  • Also wanted to ask is the tonearm on your Thorens stock?

  • Yeah... it's stock.

  • I love those old Marantz and Onkyo receivers. It's amazing how even cds can sound better when run through them instead of todays receivers. And now there's a new interest in these old receivers which will make their prices even go up so if you are into old receivers and thorens now is the time to get one!

  • Love the new 45 and I personally love your set up very nice.

  • thx :)

  • If possible post The Green Manalishi :)
