  • I hate it when comedians use lines off of their stand ups in shows... for instance jimmy carrs wife beater joke..

  • I wonder if that's where the term bit comes from in computers, seen as there are 8 bits to a byte of information ? seems plausible

  • I just started watching QI...does Jimmy Carr get better with time?...or does he get much, much worse? I pray not the latter

  • @bmoore210 jimmy pushes the envelope sometimes ,thats why i like him ...but it did take some time to get used to him ...

  • "The rough music". Terry Pratchett uses this in his book "I shall wear midnight". Good book.

  • Two bits is an older term. It is American in origin but fell out of popular use in the early-twentieth century.

  • definitely no one says 2 bits for a quarter lol

  • did anyone get the name of the Book of Days' author? i ve been looking for it.any info would be appreciated

  • @112590patrick

I'm not saying your not alwod your own opinion but u don't have to tell us that you have no sense of humor. Also what do accept to accomplish by saying this. All your doing is make another human feel bad. You defiantly would not say this in person so way do it on the keyboard. Just next time think before you start you type your own opinions on to the keyboard because it could hurt some one

  • If most of the deaths in plane crashes are from people who can't remove the seatbelt, why do planes need seatbelts? It seems like it does exactly the opposite of what it's designed for.

  • @JervisGermane The seatbelts are a problem for the people who survived the crash. Making sure noone survives the crash would solve the seatbelt problem, but I'm not sure it's the way to go.

  • This obviously was filmed before the Hudson plane crash.

  • i didn't know people can actually do a spit-take in real life but at 12:52 me and my keyboard and my glass of water all collectively learned something quite interesting.

  • Nobody calls a quarter "2 bits" in the US.

  • @JSquare25 Not anymore, certainly! I've only heard it in old movies.

  • @JSquare25 Some people do, anyway shouldnt you be watching wrestling, drinking watery beer and learning how god made the world?

  • @ILIKEWALLS Oooh Snap! Come on we're all friends here, unified under our immense appreciation of QI.. Good one though. = P

  • @Trickdogg7 I'm not American by the way. Not that there's anything wrong with that, Lolz.

  • @JSquare25, perhaps more accurate to say "nobody under 50"... It used to be common.

  • @Ultravioleth Yeah, but he's saying if the parents are both attached they can't have a kid with hanging lobes.

  • @FlagshipMartin That's a good point, just like two parents with blue eyes couldn't have a brown eyed child (although they could have green eyes).

  • @Android18uk Eye colour is actually Non Mendelian, even though most people including myself are/were taught that it was.

  • @Xarx3s Yeah, so it's controlled by multiple genes. I learnt that just after posting my comment lol.

  • The ear lobe thing- even if the parents have dominant hanging lobes, they can have a child without them, if they both are heterozygous. The chance is only 25%, but it can happen.

  • I like After Eights

  • I have blue eyes and attached lobes.......I'm a freak! lol

  • This episode introduced me to the heartbreak of parrot blindness, a disease of which I was previously unaware. Thanks for uploading!

  • @soizic29 Means you'r quite the reciver... xD
