    Again Professor, wrong. That ONLY freed slaves in the rebelling states, not all. Slavery - as in buying & selling blacks - didn't end until the 13th Amendment was passed.

    Now if you're serious - & this is where people see that a Phd is sometimes nonsense - the 13th Amendment only prohibits buying & selling; but it allows "involuntary servitude" for prisoners, which continues: Prison slave labour

    No professor, this is incorrct & you know it. Blacks were in many places in "The New World" before 1619.

    What you should have said was "the territory that became the US", because the Spanish & Portugese & English & Dutch were in the slave trade from as early as Columbus voyages. And anyone who doubts it can 1) check other hisotrians like Howard Zinn or 2) even read the documnts going back to then.
