my mom has trouble sleeping every night because of the bed bugs we called an exterminator my spent 300$ for the exterminator what can i do to get rd of bed bugs
I remember watching this video 2 years ago, I bought the product followed all the steps on here and bed bugs were gone. Today I woke up with my left arm all bitten. Luckily I kept the bottle saved somewhere in case I'd need it again and used it all up.
Thanks for this video, just recently moved into an apartment and my body is being eaten alive - that's worse than most horror movies - anyway after an initial panic - this makes perfect rational sense !!! Thank you.
why did I come to you tube you may ask. to look at freshwater moray eels. where did i end up? "bed bug killer - bed bug powder" thanks you tube now I know how to kill those bed bugs I don't have.

Great video, Thank you! Would this powder happen to be simply "BORIC ACID?" YOU can buy that for $1 in dollar store or in a dollar general for about $3 for a huge bottle. i kknow my mother used for cockroach prblm and it worked!Put in the switchplates of light switches, molding too,,everywhere if u have infestation, I'd stll do exterminator first(the heat or the cold treatment)then maintain w/the powder. Glad u got rid of! I know all too well the torture! :)
it has been 10 days since i put Bed Bug powder on the mattress. I also put it on the floor too... Guess what? I dont get bites anymore!! I am supposed to vacuum it up but i will keep it down for another month just in case bed bugs come back. but thank you for your tip, it really worked!!! bravo ;)
While this may prompt sales of Bed Bug Powder, one of the best things to do is buy Bed Bug-Proof Covers for box spring and mattress. This will do two things: 1. If you have bed bugs, it will trap them inside the case where they will die. If you don't have bed bugs, it will protect your bedding.
Heat kills bed bugs. If you notice an infestation, put everything IN THE DRYER for at least 45 minutes. Then wash and dry again.
@okunroller I thought in the other video you made you also used one of those electric power steamers as well? Do you need both, or does the powder take care of the problem itself? I'm just wondering because my boyfriend has had a problem with the stupid things (the bed bugs) for 5 months now and it's driving me nuts! He bought a spray from Lowe's but I don't think its really done much, so do you think all you really need is that powder, or do you nee the steamer too?
@CanTake8 I had the bed bug proof cover on the previous mattress, but i still got bitten... That was the reason I thrown it away. now just got this bed bug powder and use just itself to see if it works!
Every 1 if u r having problems with bedbugs this is wat u do throw every thing in a bag wash it with hot water check ur bed all around it check the lamps books floors craks check ur wall check the electrical shit were u plug in n just spray every thing. If u have alot like o dee just throw ur matress ass soon as posible den vacum every thing out wash every thing i had bed bugs 4 a year now thts alot but no more i wish i was a big help
I had these little mounsters, I used to spray 90% alcohol all over my bedroom ha, then I turned off the lights and waited for about an hour, turned the light back on and started looking for them, and then I would spray them with alcohol, they kinda twist before they die, try not to squish them because they release an odour and I think it attracts more. You have to be very, very clean and do vacum at lest every week. if you don't have this powder buy sticky traps for the bed legs.
id rather not have a mound of powder on my mattress or carpet hahahah.. but thanks for the advice, steam cleaning is probably the best for someone sensitive to powders with allergies
i think i have bedbugs but like nymphs.. does it get rid of the young bedbugs too? i know it won't work on the eggs. Also, how did you like sleep? wasn't it hard trying to not touch the powder around the bed or somehow knocking it off?
@charande How do you know they are not bitting your husband? Only about half of people show any signs of bits, event when they are being bit. Different people's skin have different reactions, and some do not have any reaction at all. Therefore there is no sign of a bite.
what if i jst use the steam as u showed in part 2?? is that gonna be work ? or i have to use the powder also ? lik can u explain me the difference between using the powder or steam ,and the powder and steam? plz and thank u .
@deckens123 Also unscrew yout electric outlets and switch plates, its safe to put in there with the wiring, and get it behind your baseboard's, put ur blankets and sheets in dryer on high heat cycle, it will kill them, Its better if you dont throw them in washing machine
I have had a mild case for MONTHS now! Catseye has been to the house 5 times!! FIVE TIMES over the past 2-3 months. They are in two room and just wont die. I can almost never ever see them but i'll get a random bite or two every couple nights. Bad part is is that i have tried online stuff first, to no avail. PS - what works good is instead of just powder on the floor, put the legs of you bed in little cups with it. Just realise even with this they can still be carried onto your bed.
You're right, Bed Bugs can't fly, but they have been know to climb up walls and drop onto you. But I will vouch for this stuff. It completely worked for me!! Just know that it takes at least a month for it to really take full effect. Make sure the bugs will come into contact with the powder. I would suggest covering your mattress in the powder and sealing it with a plastic cover (or two),
I can not thank you enough for this video!!! what about the electronics in the room, what do you use for that and how? please answer, and thank you again
interesting but damn you sure say "uuuummm" alot man lol... and i thought sleep tight dont let the bed bugs bite wus just a saying.. these litle fucks are wild i see.
I appreciate the honest explanation and the acknowledge that was posted with this gentleman. It seems to be useful obviously. thank you and god bless.
Is that powder the same as Boric acid? I bought some online and it killed them. It also kills by dehydration. I also found that a good thing, rather then spraying RAID (which is a BAD idea) is to get a can of pressurized air (the type that you use to clean your computer), and turn it upside down before spraying it everywhere that bedbugs might hide. By holding the can upside down, it causes the air to come out in liquid form, practically liquid nitrogen, which freezes EVERYTHING. Kills them DEAD
and also, after putting the powder and all that on the floor. do we just leave it there or clean it up after a week or so? or do we just leave it there forever?
I had a bed bug infestation last fall(2009). I called an exterminator twice and he even admitted that he won't be able to kill all of the bugs. And any dummy can figure out that it only takes one happy couple to make another infestation, so don't waste your money on an exterminator. I bought the bed bug powder and covered the base of all my walls, around my bed legs, all over my mattress, and every other little crack I could find. 2 days later I saw my last bedbug!! This stuff is magical!
@sboarder426 But what happens if you have pets? Like should you keep them out of the room while you get rid of them. I cant sleep because of these fuckers! i want to buy a new bed and mattress covers with sprays and powder. What should i do!!! I need help ASAP!
Thank you so much for your informative video! This helps tons!
Do we need the bed bug powder if we steam clean? Do we need to re-apply the
powder after a period of time? Will we see dead bed bug around the mattresss while stream cleaning? Does the powder have any odors? How much does one bottle covers? What happens if this doesn't work? Should we try to re-do them until they are gone? Is this hazard around animals? Thank you so so much!!!
has anybody had any success treating an entire house with heat to get rid of bed bugs? because rather than chemicals i would like to treat the whole house rathar than a room or two, just to be safe.
Is it safe to use the steam cleaner and the bed bug powder on top of your mattress? or should you only use it around the side edges and creases?
and instead of laundering the bedding sheets, covers, etc.. can you use the steam cleaner on them instead? The reason I'm asking is because i have the steam cleaner and bed bug powder coming today, but i have no time to do laundry till next week.
hey, has anyone ever heard of Bed Bug Chasers? i want to treat my house with the method of using electrical heat to kill off all the bed bugs, but i don't know if it's any good. can someone help me??
@okunroller well i talked to them and its actually cheaper then what most bed bug companies charge. i also heard that its chemical free and you don't need to move all your furniture and belongings out of the building until it's safe (due to chemicals). i'm gonna give it a shot hopefully i'll have great success in it :)
Thanks, dude. The bed bug powder...do you know what it is, exactly? I mean, is it an insecticide? Or just a substance that cuts their shells, as you said? Or some combination?
Our bed bug problem is just in my room we just moved here and noticed we were getting bit. We have been sleeping downstairs for the time being. The exterminator couldn't find them anywhere but we found one when we made the bed. I just noticed my bed and now they are on our mattress encasement we have the dust and planning on doing that today.
So after you put the powder around the leg, do you just leave it there? I know you said you "went crazy" with the amount but still. Is this an ongoing process, or after you steam/powder once maybe twice the problem is gone?
thanks for the tip, yes heat is effective but unless you drive a PORSCHE you cannot afford this method cost thousands. Steam works just as well, this bed bug powder stuff is cheap and seems to work.
How do you determine how bad an infestation is, I cannot sleep long. find myself waking up at 4/5 in the morning looking for them; nothing....but as soon as i roll over i see one. does the powder really work?
@okunroller: the problem is we got it from our neighbors they never clean... we been here for 4 years they move in we get bed bugs.. =( we clean the house and killed alot of them theres only couple of them left the thing that helps is cold air i turn the air conditioner and i havnt seen one of them but my family turns it off and i wake up with two sucking blood from my hand and its really anoyying.. =( i sometiimes cant sleep so i stay up for like a day or two...
mike i just want to thank you for putting this video up, my mother house has been infested for the last past 2 months, one question should she clean all her clothes, or just linens, pillow ect. what will she need to wash i guess i am asking besides bedding's...thanks again i will let you know how this turns out
@okunroller I talked to her and found out they are covering the whole apt now, she has them in her living room, and they have made there way into the living room set, I plan on buying the kit on the site you recommended..again will update you and thanks very very much, she was going to pay almost 1000.00 to get them out of her apt.
you dun need fancy powder to get rip of them. seal your mattress n box spring and duck tape bed leg with glue part outside. if they come they are stuck.
132000Volts - My bed bugs are now gone thanks man, it's a shame the powder did not kill the big bed bug (my wife) oh well, I need a powder to stop her nagging.
Bed bugs can still on the bed even thought they CAN NOT Fly. They do this by climbing on the ceiling and when they detect a heatwave from a warm blooded animal, the simply drop down.
did you get the problem when you got that expencive matress that you wish you did not want the bugs in it i like to know ware you got it and the make of the matress so i can avoid gettings some foren thing in a matress
you can get them from the most expensive hotel. they dont come from dirt like roaches. also hire a pro.. all this do it yourself shit dont work. they hide in sockets, baseboards, carpets ect.. the powder does help control, but it alone wont eliminate..oh and 2 months isnt enough time to tell, it can take 4-6 months for them to resurface again.

@okunroller Somebody did that with their recliner here in Lewiston. He was charged with Arson because he lit it on the back porch. I'd plea insanity because they probably were driving him crazy.

Then wash and dry again.

edgarulitos 1 year ago
@edgarulitos electronics are ok you don't need to cover them up while spraying the powder and Bed Bugs don't like Blu-Ray ;-)

see how he keeps itching? this is what happens to people, they itch when there are no bugs around or nothing, just talking about it makes them itch.
lester5192 1 year ago
can they hide in books cuz i was reading a book aand it came out of the top of the book ?
777stupidmario777 1 year ago
Is that powder the same as Boric acid? I bought some online and it killed them. It also kills by dehydration. I also found that a good thing, rather then spraying RAID (which is a BAD idea) is to get a can of pressurized air (the type that you use to clean your computer), and turn it upside down before spraying it everywhere that bedbugs might hide. By holding the can upside down, it causes the air to come out in liquid form, practically liquid nitrogen, which freezes EVERYTHING. Kills them DEAD
CTM1978 1 year ago
@CTM1978 thanks for sharing ... the bed bug powder seems slightly. . . easier

i think i have a bed bug infestation i have a lot of bites on my body hate them so much!!! D:
gamefreakhacked 1 year ago
sorry i meant "before using"-
and also, after putting the powder and all that on the floor. do we just leave it there or clean it up after a week or so? or do we just leave it there forever?
ngapham11 1 year ago
@ngapham11 -> best to leave it down until they are gone, you don't have to vacuum it up.
okunroller 1 year ago
In part one, you steam the bed and everything. do you have to wait for the bed to dry before putting using the powder?
ngapham11 1 year ago
@ngapham11 -> yep if you live in an APT, just run a fan for a few hours.
okunroller 1 year ago
I had a bed bug infestation last fall(2009). I called an exterminator twice and he even admitted that he won't be able to kill all of the bugs. And any dummy can figure out that it only takes one happy couple to make another infestation, so don't waste your money on an exterminator. I bought the bed bug powder and covered the base of all my walls, around my bed legs, all over my mattress, and every other little crack I could find. 2 days later I saw my last bedbug!! This stuff is magical!
sboarder426 1 year ago 19
@sboarder426 But what happens if you have pets? Like should you keep them out of the room while you get rid of them. I cant sleep because of these fuckers! i want to buy a new bed and mattress covers with sprays and powder. What should i do!!! I need help ASAP!
RiceARoniz 9 months ago
@RiceARoniz after the powder settles it is safe for SPOT and KITTY

Thank you so much for your informative video! This helps tons!
Do we need the bed bug powder if we steam clean? Do we need to re-apply the
powder after a period of time? Will we see dead bed bug around the mattresss while stream cleaning? Does the powder have any odors? How much does one bottle covers? What happens if this doesn't work? Should we try to re-do them until they are gone? Is this hazard around animals? Thank you so so much!!!
BlueIce831 1 year ago
lol lots of questions I should do this full time :-)
1) Steam early morning and let dry
2) Put the bed bug powder down until they are gone
3) bugs die in hiding
4) no smell
5) 1 bottle for each bedroom
6) I look at it like this, a bottle is 13 bucks :-) better than paying Ork** 200+
7) site says animal safe

has anybody had any success treating an entire house with heat to get rid of bed bugs? because rather than chemicals i would like to treat the whole house rathar than a room or two, just to be safe.
JerseyGuy381 1 year ago
Is it safe to use the steam cleaner and the bed bug powder on top of your mattress? or should you only use it around the side edges and creases?
and instead of laundering the bedding sheets, covers, etc.. can you use the steam cleaner on them instead? The reason I'm asking is because i have the steam cleaner and bed bug powder coming today, but i have no time to do laundry till next week.

hey, has anyone ever heard of Bed Bug Chasers? i want to treat my house with the method of using electrical heat to kill off all the bed bugs, but i don't know if it's any good. can someone help me??
JerseyGuy381 1 year ago
@JerseyGuy381 Nope never heard of that sounds pricey... kinda like Ghost Busters ???
okunroller 1 year ago
@okunroller well i talked to them and its actually cheaper then what most bed bug companies charge. i also heard that its chemical free and you don't need to move all your furniture and belongings out of the building until it's safe (due to chemicals). i'm gonna give it a shot hopefully i'll have great success in it :)
JerseyGuy381 1 year ago
@JerseyGuy381 probably not cheaper than 12 bucks
But it's worth a shot, post the results here please ;-)

Thanks, dude. The bed bug powder...do you know what it is, exactly? I mean, is it an insecticide? Or just a substance that cuts their shells, as you said? Or some combination?
Pleepleus 1 year ago
not sure this almost 2 years ago. We are still bed bug free but don't have the bottle
okunroller 1 year ago
Our bed bug problem is just in my room we just moved here and noticed we were getting bit. We have been sleeping downstairs for the time being. The exterminator couldn't find them anywhere but we found one when we made the bed. I just noticed my bed and now they are on our mattress encasement we have the dust and planning on doing that today.

okunroller 1 year ago
So after you put the powder around the leg, do you just leave it there? I know you said you "went crazy" with the amount but still. Is this an ongoing process, or after you steam/powder once maybe twice the problem is gone?
scarface306 1 year ago
You can just leave a little powder down until they are gone no need to vacuum it up. 1/2 the amount in the video :-)
okunroller 1 year ago
thanks for the tip, yes heat is effective but unless you drive a PORSCHE you cannot afford this method cost thousands. Steam works just as well, this bed bug powder stuff is cheap and seems to work.
okunroller 1 year ago
How do you determine how bad an infestation is, I cannot sleep long. find myself waking up at 4/5 in the morning looking for them; nothing....but as soon as i roll over i see one. does the powder really work?
lapulga1210 1 year ago
It worked for us and was cheap...
okunroller 1 year ago
@lapulga1210 holy crap same here im bout to fall asleep and i roll over and one pop's out of no where?? wtf they should kill them all.

mike i just want to thank you for putting this video up, my mother house has been infested for the last past 2 months, one question should she clean all her clothes, or just linens, pillow ect. what will she need to wash i guess i am asking besides bedding's...thanks again i will let you know how this turns out
slatersworld 1 year ago
If she has them really bad, this will not hurt. I recommend taking a weekend and washing all the clothes and cleaning and steaming the entire room.
okunroller 1 year ago
@okunroller I talked to her and found out they are covering the whole apt now, she has them in her living room, and they have made there way into the living room set, I plan on buying the kit on the site you recommended..again will update you and thanks very very much, she was going to pay almost 1000.00 to get them out of her apt.

you dun need fancy powder to get rip of them. seal your mattress n box spring and duck tape bed leg with glue part outside. if they come they are stuck.
cmale123 1 year ago
I have tried this also, but it didn't work at least for me.
okunroller 1 year ago
hmmm.... they are sleeping, that is why they are not around, give them 1 year, if in a year they are not biting, the product works!

132000Volts - My bed bugs are now gone thanks man, it's a shame the powder did not kill the big bed bug (my wife) oh well, I need a powder to stop her nagging.
okunroller 1 year ago
Bed bugs can still on the bed even thought they CAN NOT Fly. They do this by climbing on the ceiling and when they detect a heatwave from a warm blooded animal, the simply drop down.
silkmann 1 year ago
Most of them will simply cross the bed bug powder.
I have never heard of Spider Man bed bugs. But thanks for the tip :-)

think we had them before also, I believe we got them when we flew to NYC
okunroller 1 year ago
you can get them from the most expensive hotel. they dont come from dirt like roaches. also hire a pro.. all this do it yourself shit dont work. they hide in sockets, baseboards, carpets ect.. the powder does help control, but it alone wont eliminate..oh and 2 months isnt enough time to tell, it can take 4-6 months for them to resurface again.
SEXYNY1970 1 year ago
It has been over a year and we are still bed bug FREE.
THANK GOD ;-)
