  • Can anyone identify that watch he's wearing?

  • how did he not get the bends from that? he went all the way down and then swam back back up very fast. I thought that was supposed to be deadly?

  • @mrsaganscosmos I think professional freedivers like this have conditioned themselves over time. I imagine if you or I did that (if we didn't have to breath) we'd get the bends. I don't know for sure tho.

  • @mrsaganscosmos You only get the bends if you breathe while you are downthere... think of a balloon, if you fill it up on the surface and take it down to the bottom, it will deflate, then when you come back up it will re-inflate. there is no loss or gain, if you fill up the balloon at the bottom, it will explode on the rise up. Bends happen to scuba divers because breathing down at the bottom, that air will expand in your veins.

  • Somehow i find this sooo serene haha makes me so calm yet inspired.

  • not a good thing to do but it does look like fun and one day i am going to do that

  • lucky bastard escaped a serious dose of tentacle rape

  • i thought i a cthulus face when we got the downward view

  • I've seen enough horror movies to know where this is going...

  • NOPE

  • For those wondering how he manages to sink and stay on the sea floor, you can see the lead weights attached to his belt at 1:03. It's actually pretty scary free diving with them.

  • @nickelpro1 I made the mistake of ditching my scuba gear without taking my weightbelt off first, that was a spooky moment. Escaped without any daft injuries luckily, so yeah can verify, not a good idea free diving with weights!

  • @T34mCr41g All freedivers use weights....It's just enough to make them slighty negatively buoyant, its not like they're being dragged down by 50lbs.

  • @nickelpro1 I thought it was his massive balls keeping him down

  • 1:03 Paused the video and started thinking about Leonidas comming at him and yelling THIS IS ATLANTIS! And then kicking him to the hole.

  • Gillyweed.

  • the chosen of cthulu

  • NOPE

  • no no no no no no no

  • the eel from Mario 64 is gonna eat you!!

  • @adofri He probably has someone giving him some air in between the takes. Awesome video by the way.

  • "hey ya know how in the ocean theres a bunch of scary shit just waiting to munch on you?"

    "...ya"

"well how bout we jump into this pitch black hole in the ocean that no one knows whats in it and where we wont be able to see anything"

    "im down"

  • @Warchild281 And the Darwin award of the year goes to!

  • @ProjectD13X The Darwin award usually is awarded for death because of stupidity not death because of curiosity

  • @Warchild281 "...I'm down. Hey, you know what would also be fun? Let's not use any kind of diving equipment whatsoever.

    Fuck yeah!"

  • @Warchild281 Ahhhhhhh "im down" i like what u did there. Its funny cos they're going DOWN into the water......hahahhahah!!! (I joke)

  • this guy has some seriously big bal.... i mean lungs

  • Is that a fish he stomps the shit out of at 3:48?? ha ha

  • Songs like this make me wish I had a better sound system.

  • 1:19 *and a great white just comes up and swallows him*

  • Потрясающе......нет слов.......

  • He held his breath for 4 minutes, that seems logical. Im wondering how he sank to the bottom without kicking. Weights?

  • @MrJonzi3 low sodium levels in the water would decrease buoyancy. I would guess some light weights as well though

  • @slipsevenfold ah I see, thanks for doin the research

  • @MrJonzi3

Exhaling, go to a swimming pool and exhale, you'll sink right to the bottom.

  • @murdamonk Yes I know that but then he wouldnt be able to hold his breath for so long. I found out it was with the use of weights actually.

  • so creepy

  • wtf, this should have 1 million views at LEAST...!

  • omg his ears

  • AWESOME!!!

    Thnx 4 the upload :-)

  • there are many different sequences,,,

  • why do i want to hold my breath as well....

  • how does he walk around on the sand like that? is there something in the suit? or does he just have skillz?

  • <33

  • 17 people drowned in a Kiddy Pool

  • This is SO COOOOL!!!!

  • i forgot about listening to the song and concentrated on the guy. :)

  • 17 people drowned

  • 17 people can't hold their breath this long under water...

  • @brmakl1

And neither can the 1979 people who liked.

  • I have done several trainings in both diving with apparatus and without.. At the bottom of this blue hole the depth compresses the air with changing the gas structure.. His lungs wont be able to addapt to a full blow of air because his lungs are heavily compressed.. But really he could not make this dive by borrowing air, that would be fatal.. There's even one video of a women attempting the world record but equiptment failed but the divers could not give her, their air..

  • Un français quoi.

  • I bet he borrowed oxygen from the cameraman. That's some deep water

  • @Berothsloth That's almost impossible. You should take a look on google if you want to find out. He's using techniques that allow him to hold breath this long. It's impossible to make the dive as he makes it by borrowing oxygen from the cameraman, because a breath of air would make it really difficult for him to go up again because of a whole lot of difficult reasons due the pressure at those depths. But it's impossible.

  • @rody2911 It would be impossible to use his breathing apparattus?

  • @rody2911 I KNOW it's possible to make those dives without borrowing air, but it takes a lot of training. To make a cool video maybe he borrowed oxygen form his cameraman's apparatus. why would that be impossible? I looked it up on google but it's hard to find anything saying that that's difficult.

  • 17 personas no pueden aguantar la respiración.

  • wtf?

  • mental music and imagery

  • Green tunic, master sword. You have the perfect Zelda movie.

  • Very nice and soothing.(song and video)

  • this music isn't underground, it's underwater...

  • @cyntheses you cheesy prick...but i love you

  • @freeskier36 where did you see RJD2 & Glitch Mob?

  • I saw him live with RJD2 and Glitch Mob. My life has been complete ever since

  • No thanks. That just looks like the den of something that isn't too different from that asteroid worm thing from Empire Strikes Back.

  • Where is this? The location? I have to go there.

  • @Jader7777 Dean's Blue Hole, Bahamas

  • this made me cry...

  • how can he hold his breath so long?

  • @adofri Training. The human body has a lot more capacity than what people assume. Also his technique of movement is very efficient and uses little oxygen.

  • Comment removed

  • @KimberlyKristenB No actually it says "filmed entirely on breath hold" so I don't where your information is coming from. He is a world champion free diver!

  • @adofri Well the video is "fake", as in the dove in a bunch of times and filmed the dive in increments til they could make it look like it was one go. This guy CAN actually do it in one go though. That's still a long ass time to hold your breath though.

  • @adofri He's part fish of course.

  • @adofri shiiit man you have bad "skills" about movie making ...

  • @adofri he was born with a genetic mutation that allows him to absorb oxygen very slowly through his skin

  • @Grundalizer whaaat where can i get that power? is it trainable? or do you have to be born twith that maybe i have it too my fingers always turn crumpy if im long in water why is that?

  • @adofri You have to be born with it. It sounds like you might have the gene though, having crumpy fingers when you stay too long in the water is a sign of carrying the trait. Have you ever noticed that the longer you are in the water, and the more crumpy your hands get, you should be able to hold your breath for longer. Water is absorbed into your skin like in your fingers and releases oxygen gas which lets you breath through your fingers, but he has trained to breath through his whole body

  • @Grundalizer omfg! so how do i learn that? should i go to a doctor?

  • @Grundalizer Everyone gets "crumpy" fingers when they stay in the water too long. Try reading this: npr. org/blogs/thetwo-way/2011/06/29/137506950/why-do-fingers-wrinkle-when-they-get-wet

  • @Grundalizer That's one of the most bullshitting stories I've ever heard.

  • @Grundalizer you are soooooooooo full of shit

  • @Grundalizer TROLL??? that is insanely impossiblel. your fingers become wrinkled because your body tries to match the water sodium concentration, unless distilled, most water contains more sodium so your body releases water through your skin to match sodium concentration in the body of water your in. hence this is why trained fighters sit in epsom salt baths before weigh in to lose water weight. also he would have no way to scrub off the excess co2

  • Comment removed

  • @adofri he cant

  • @adofri He's been training for years with a bong

  • @adofri He's a mutated mermaid with legs!

  • @adofri He's a champion free diver......if you trained as he does, you could do it to.

  • @adofri ...exactly

  • @adofri he is what one might call a 'BAAAOOOWWSSS'

  • @adofri because fuck logic

  • @adofri gills

  • @nedible88 Only if he were conducting repeated freedives, plus he's an expert at it, his body is attuned to doing this.

  • That guy sure can hold his breath for a long time.

  • wow never heard of this artist before

    good shit

  • @thiessen35 Boards of Canada! :)

  • @Keks3318 yo I've heard of them. They're good too. I'll be honest. I know a shit ton of good electronic/genre stuff. But recently I've hit a stump. I'm having trouble finding epic songs. Such as this. They tend to be very underground and hard to find.:) thanks for taking the time to respond :D

  • @thiessen35

good music is underground, you gotta dig it up

  • @ssiegert12

good music is underwater, you gotta dive it up
