Why didnt Tommy just give him a light shot in the ribs or something.. get the points son.. instead we have.. "coach hes gonna kill him"... "Tommy NOOO"
I think this scene is a great example of how even the most 'evil' people are really just like me and you. Whoever has wronged is us in life, don't hold on to anger or pain, they just made a mistake. It might take a while, but one day they will realise and feel hurt for what they did, because everyone is a spirit of divine love. When they return to their source, then they'll know.
they should of added a scene where dae han and tommy lee rape 0bama while he sucks 9000 muslims cocks. ....this movie would of won 500 grammy awards just it. and then he could of gone into this big speech about it like.
I don't care how amazing this movie and ending is. Eric Roberts part is super gay. "... I know everything I ever want to know about you." *slurp slurp slurp*
@TheFuryBlogger I agree...lol, but on the other hand, there's nothing gay or wrong with a man crying...if it wasn't meant for a man to cry, we wouldn't have tear ducts bro. But as I said, I somewhat agree with your comment (not totally)...Eric Roberts part seemed a little gay...lol. He looked gay through out this whole movie...lol.
@cristian061991 Tommy's real name is Phillip Rhee. Dae Han is actually his real life brother...Simon Rhee. Their dad's considered the father of Tae Kwon Do in America. His name is Grandmaster Jhoon Rhee.
On a larger scale, this is a message to humanity to let's put an end to war. Someone wise once said, fighting for peace is like fucking for virginity!!
dae han staggering still wanting to fight for his country still so ashamed for what he did to tommys brother. Hes daring tommy to kill him, hes so guilty.
@TheLaXative (facepalm) as easy as that is to suggest, thats not the point. he still won the match but he has honor and humility enough to not KILL the guy; regardless of their past.
I too will admit, the ceremony always makes me nearly cry. But, when I was a kid and watched it for the first time.........i did cry! lol im glad im not alone EPIC MOVIE!!!!
Bro's ... its hard to see this and not think what Tommy was thinking when he was mesauring him down, for what could have been his most deadly kick..... and still he stood fast. THAT is what martial arts is about. Tempering the body with the mind!
In Korea, a player who wins the gold gets government money for the rest of their lives. Although this is just a movie, in effect, they gave up everything to gain brothers.
I dont give a shit about what any critic or film snob says, this is a superb movie and has one of the finest endings I have ever seen. This scene always moves me to tears and is a shining example of human compassion.
Yeah, no matter how hard hearted and mad we get, this is something we need to always come back to, to remind us what we need to do in similiar situations, and how good it feels to forgive, and teach someone a valuable lesson, of forgiveness and mercy.
Damn, I just shed some man tears. However, in my opinion, they should've finished it during the DaeHan and Tommy part. The part with Alex and SaeJin seemed a little out of place and ruined the moment.
I agree that many american (mostly republicans) dont respect nothin' even less other cultures but its not a matter of etnicity, good people are born in every country, its the supremacist culture that must be wiped out, we must learn to respect one another, love every human being for their good feelings and punish those that make this world a bad place
@JMA1983TX lol...we're all on the same page bro, just like all martial artists are brothers and sisters...we can all learn from each other, as there is no one superior style, or way of doing something.
this is a great movie ...its shows the tenants of traditional taekwondo /martial arts ....the martial arts of today have lost the code that made it so special to me ...
