They do look like, go like, and sound like real beasts. But DTM's on it's arse because other manufacturers just aren't interested in the massive expense needed to build these things(almost F1 money) when they actualy have nothing in common with what they sell in the showroom.

DTM cars in the days of the original M3 weren't exactly dull or slow and changing it so much clearly isn't attractive to many.

I hope it gets back to what it was and we see stuff like this BMW etc. back in there.

And with the 2 (wow, count 'em!) remaining manufacturers left in DTM I think it shows how impressed people are by watching what's basicaly just an expensive caged engine on wheels driving around with lookalike body panels loosley resembling a Merc or Audi rather than watching a proper!

Credit to BMW (and the other manufacturers) I think for sticking to their guns and only competing in proper production car based series'.

More weight? lol That is very smart of you...why would you want to add weight where you can use the Aerodynamics to do the weight adding rather carry weight with you? The spoilers and the hatch-back is exactly to generate downforce... this is different beast and needs traction for that amount of TQ that it generates.

it's not a road car, and its no for sale..you would need a full staff to configure and maintain the vehicle for you and the initial prrice of the vehicle would me about 1 mil probably even more...keep in mind its a GT car.

I think at the moment you can´t tell how much the car costs, because as far as I know it isn´t sold. BMW will enter it, and maybe in the future once sell it to customers, but that has to be seen.

I think many teams in the US, but especially in Europe/Germany would love to have that car, if it is once sold for a reasonable price, as it could be the car the BMW teams could win GT races again with, as they did especially in the 70s and 80s.
