@LuckyGal71 now that I know how to do it (my hair is too short to actually make it nicely :P) I can help out my drama actresses with their hair :3 Thanks so much!!
I've been watching countless videos trying to find period hairstyles for the show I'm in (Dancing at Lughnasa) and this is the first that has actually worked for my character and been doable. My director has been yelling at me all week, so all I can say is THANK YOU!!!!!
Honestly, people are annoyed by the MUSIC? For one thing, this is inspired by the English Edwardian Era where music was classical such as the song played here.. Secondly, this video is only a minute long with an excellent tutorial, why some need the feel to nitpick at something as unimportant as the unoffensive music is beyond me.
I love this. Usually if I want my hair up I just put it in a ponytail or a bun but this is pretty much just as easy and it looks way prettier. Thank you for this video!
YAAAAA! YEAAAH! I did it! I tried so many versions of this using other youtube videos and they all went wrong with my hair. My hair is very thick and long and those uploaders had shorter and thinner hair than me. Your version works for me! Thanks! :)
I used to do this, but instead of putting the whole ponytail inside the "hole", i part the ponytail into sections, twist and then putting them inside section by section. It's also a good way to have a "natural" romantic curl if you leave them like that and then letting it down a few hours later! :-)
Fantastic hair work! I noticed that high quality hair products are used which helps better manipulate the hair. That, plus practice. Thanks for the demonstration.
thanks so much for posting this! now i have a quick easy updo for my hair :o)
i have long, thick, wiry hair. i tried your sock bun technique, but no matter how much i try, the hair won't stay in the sock. (i suck, i know) it's really pretty so i hope i'll get that style down. any tips you have would be appreciated :o) !!
Wowww! That is so Beautiful...& u make it look so simple! I was seriously thinking about cutting my hair! Ughhh! I didn't know what to do with it anymore! Now Thanks to your tutorials...I've changed my mind! :) Thank You Soooo much!....I've subscribed & I'm definitely adding U to my FB! God Bless! ^_^ ~ Connie ~
I CANT GET IT RIGHT!!!!... IM FRUSTRATED!... I DONT KNOW WHATS THE PROBLEM BUT THE TUCKED HAIR COULD BE SEEN THROUGH AND THE WHOLE THING LOOKS SO LOOSE.. BUAHHH :-(
@crazyblue20 If it is to loose, die amount of hair for the "bag" is to small. Create a smaller bag while pulling the hair tie less far from the scalp. For the hair that you can see trough the bag I heard a trick: Before tucking, take your ponytail and stuff it in a little nylon sock (near the hair color works best). Then tuck the hair und there will be no see-through hair.

wow you made it look so easy and I love the idea of "covering the hole" with something pretty , I am going to wear this style for an upcoming interview so I dont have to cut my hair before :D
I've always liked how this style looked but you made that first bit so much clearer - thank you! Do you find you get tangles with this one afterwards? I'm wondering if it would work braided but I'm not sure it'd all fit in the space...
@pepperminttea42 Thanks! :) I don't have to much tangles after that (maybe because of my straight hair) . Perhaps it works with a braid, but I could concieve that, on this way, the hair is harder to distribute in the "bag". Thereby it maybe looks a little bit irregular.
Whew, finally a tutorial on this hairdo that really helps me :D Thank you so much. I've been trying this with other tutorials and I never quite managed :D
I realized though, that because my hair is shorter than yours, still, I don't have to pull the ponytail as high as you do, my hair needs less space in the little "bag". ^^
off to try it :3
