Thats a wonderful message! Personally, I hate it when people pick flowers for religious reasons and so on...I mean just because science hasn't proved it yet, doesn't mean plants don't feel. I remember first reading Heidi, where Peter says, "don't pick the flowers, if you do, it'll never grow their again"..
From beginning to 0:12, mostly happy but somewhat unconscious. From 0:15 to 0:32, ominous and nightmare-ish. From 0:33 to end, relief and content.
Another image I get is a bright summer day, then suddenly dark storm clouds usher in a brief but nasty storm, followed by gradual clearing and, once again, bright sunshine prevails.
Like briansky10, I didn't like it much as a kid, but II think the nostalgia of it has since overridden that initial hurt.
I remember this too from the 70s, a bit concerned for the flowers as they watched their companions wilt. Nice that the guy learned quickly.
For what it's worth, some plants do fine even if you pick their flowers; the flowers wilt and dry up anyway. Cherry and apple blossoms will become fruit. But it's still a good lesson.

Yes, I remember this one. There is the possibility that it dates from around 1973 or 1974 perhaps.

You're probably right. According to the screenplay for Episode 2485, it *is* made for Season 4 (1972-1973).

Oh god this is some of the saddest music I've ever heard. It still hurts me.

A different perception, I guess. To me this is happy music, in a sweet sensitive kind of way. :)

Perceptions are like opinions, so here goes mine:

@briansky10 I agree. It makes me sad, as well. It did even when I was a kid.

Definitely 1977-78, or maybe as early as '76, I can recall watching this before I started school.
