  • Sang this in Choir and loved it :D

  • Paul Whiteman certainly didn't have 12 No.1 hits in 1921! He had five - "Wang Wang Blues", "My Mammy", "Cherie", "Song of India" and this one. Paul Whiteman was the King what comes to record selling in the 20s, but even he couldn't be No.1 all of the time.

  • My mom was born 90 years ago, it is so much fun to see what people were into back then. Did they have a best selling pop sing 90 years ago ? my dad use to sin, How ya gonna keep em down on the farm ( He'd be 95 ) ..

  • I think that MGM always wanted to make a movie called "Say it with music" with Judy. Needless to say it never happened. I love this version! Thanks so much for the post and have a happy labor day weekend!

  • People like you are really doing a great service to us all. You're not just uploading a song, you're introducing a whole new generation of people to a music that would be lost if not for individuals like yourself keeping it alive for us all to enjoy. Thank you.

  • Love this, many heartfelt thanks for sharing!

  • This is still the best rendition of the song

  • I was doing several posts the other night and failed to credit you on my blog. I fixed it this evening; maybe it will help you gain more fans. Thank You for the great music! True Blue Sam aka davidn23skidoo

  • Glad you like this one too, Paul...you have very broad-ranging tastes in Music. I work in radio and have access to some amazing archives.

  • Ahhhhh..... gotta love this song. :)

Where do you get all of these???

  • Paul Whiteman was an amazing entertainer--certainly America's musical tastes and expectations evolved enormously from his influence.

Lots of great music still to be posted on YT...but I'm happy to know it's finding a new and appreciative audience. ;)

    Best wishes,

    -RR
