I always say my all-time fave rock and roll band list goes like this:
1) Foghat
2) The Guess Who
3) The Tragically Hip
But the Tragically Hip may very well be the best band in history. I wish I could hear them do this song live. I don't remember them doing this song in Seattle in 1999 at the Moore Theater or 2002 at Pier 62/63. Amazing, amazing band. Gordon's mannerisms and the band's rocking sound combine to provide unending talent. For me....me! All mine! Whoo-hoo-haa-haaaa!!
@starhespera I love how he learned guitar just to join the band. Soon as he knew 3 chords he jumped right into the gigs. He literally learned as he went, smoke in his mouth the whole way.......Paul has always been my favorite Hip member. He's easily the most bad ass member.....no contest.
I'm not a huge Hip fan, but this is a good tune! Man, I miss the Misty Moon...lots of memories from that place. And the Crazy Horse in Dartmouth...two great rock bars back in the day.
taped at the legendary misty moon in Halifax NS by muchmusic shortly after the release of up to here. My friend & I are blocking the camera around 1:04 (sorry! we both had a lot of hair, the cameraman behind us asked us to ignore him, I assumed he was shooting over our heads but I guess that was impossible) ... by the end of the show Gord Downie's shirt & hair were completely soaked, I had never seen anyone sweat so much! amazing show & great memory, thanks for uploading! anyone have the rest?

Paul "Skills" Langlois - playing guitar and singing back-up vocals, all with a cigarette in his mouth.

Awesome song. I don't recall hearing this one in either of the two Seattle shows I saw the Hip at.

Clearly one of their greatest. A shame The Hip have never released it on any album.

I'm still confused why they didn't release this song on any of their albums, it's excellent.
Langlois looks like former ECW wrestler Raven in this video...Rob looks almost exactly the same though.
