The difference is the Tea Party had events that lasted a couple hours that drew quite a few people and OWS had events where they ended up squatting on public and private land for weeks on end. Look at ANY town charter and most have official curfew by-laws for public spaces. Protests and rallies need to be planned and organized with the city to ensure municipal co-operation and the like (blocking roads, etc)... OWS did none of that. They shot themselves in the foot bigtime with their 'camps' imo

I honestly do believe it has molded into something that makes more sense, rather than when it started on day one. @BrammellToe Well I'd say they'd have to start to get more realistic. Whoever wrote the first demands were baked out of their minds. I would have to say the had help from one of the Union groups. If the OWS protesters behaved and protested in the same way the Tea Party does then there wouldn't be arrests and all of the other problems.
@theultimaterockr I don't see that much of a problem (if they were helped by Unions), because I know that a lot of people at OWS, just like me, does not want any sort of involvement from any sort of group. I think the main reason the police are arresting them, is because of the amounts that they are protesting in. The TEA Party consisted of more older people, this is more so younger people that are frustrated/stressed because of the lack of finances they have, and probably won't have.

She has 2 children, oldest is 6 now. Her Husband works, and has a very good job. Even with that, she barley makes her medical bills, she can't get help because the family income makes too much, the only way she could get help, is if her husband became unemployed :/

People that protesting there, that do know what they are talking about, just want these corporations to pay up, and they don't want Socialism (like most think) they want a country that is fair, as in these Corporations don't sleep with our Politicians/End this war, ect. @BrammellToe I'll agree with most that BUT it seems like 90% of the 99% are clueless. I stand by what I said about the demands because they are on their website. I think they all should be protesting the White House. Most of the Tarp money that went to the banks has been paid back now except for the money given to Citibank and the government got the rest back in equity in the bank so they really have no beef with them. The government should probably put the repaid money towards or debt imo

@theultimaterockr I seen what the website said when it was first going on, I think a lot of them sort of starting realizing it was too much and not realistic. I honestly do believe it has molded into something that makes more sense, rather than when it started on day one. There are extremist on both sides (TEA Party/OWS), honestly we need to get over our mindset of not being able to compromise with each other. That's what has been dividing the Country for years now. We need to get over ourselves

@BrammellToe Well I'd say they'd have to start to get more realistic. Whoever wrote the first demands were baked out of their minds. I would have to say the had help from one of the Union groups. If the OWS protesters behaved and protested in the same way the Tea Party does then there wouldn't be arrests and all of the other problems.

@theultimaterockr I don't see that much of a problem (if they were helped by Unions), because I know that a lot of people at OWS, just like me, does not want any sort of involvement from any sort of group. I think the main reason the police are arresting them, is because of the amounts that they are protesting in. The TEA Party consisted of more older people, this is more so younger people that are frustrated/stressed because of the lack of finances they have, and probably won't have.

@theultimaterockr **Even if they do hard work. :/ My aunt for example, worked ever since she was 16 (and she actually enjoyed working and making her own money), she has really bad arthritis, she can't even walk without being in pain. She has 2 children, oldest is 6 now. Her Husband works, and has a very good job. Even with that, she barley makes her medical bills, she can't get help because the family income makes too much, the only way she could get help, is if her husband became unemployed :/

We need to say "That Corporations cannot fund a politician and make promises to one another behind the Country's back". Our Citizen's should be first, not another Country's problem that we shouldn't nose into. Banks need to be carefully regulated (they're like kids), the FED government needs to get their shit together, and stop lying to everyone.

I don't understand why we can't recognize the fact that both movement actually have valid points, and are share alot of similar ground. It's the two main political parties and the media that puts the distance between the two and misinforms the public about what each really is.
