My family had a american bobtail that they got from the local animal shelter, before I was even born, and was the best cat our family ever had. He lived a long and happy life, but it was cut a bit short when he contracted a bizarre disease after he had been out in the wild for 6 months when he got lost from home on accident, long story, but yeah, he was a great cat, gettin' all choked up just thinking about him.

I had this cat and honest to God it was the best animal I EVER had. He was a long haired black tux coat cat. He and I went threw everything together. We both has pneumonia and had heart murmurs. I even bare his nickname now. I still live my American bobtail! RIP MOE.....

@Geordiguy The Manx is an older breed that originated on the Isle of Man. I presume that the Bobtail is most likely originally a Manx and American domestic mix. The Manx and Bobtail both have the same body shape, health issues and personality. the Manx however, has a round face, short mussel, rocker shaped ears and blue eyes. The tail length can be non-existent to fairly long in both breeds. The most popular length is between 1 to 2 inches for the Bobtail. Manx tail should be shorter for show.

probably an american shorthair, most cats dont have a breed though, they are usually mixed

I've got plenty of them!!! Look at my YouTube vids, ya could say I'm a free breeder, because some mate and then have litters and I put them up for adoption free of charge on craigslist for anyone who is local to me... If you look on google for breeders to get 1 from the prices are crazy. Anywhere from 600.00 and up and half are just normal breeds, I offer Siamese, Tortoiseshell and Tuxedo bobtails as well as Red Tabby ones too, it's just wrong to me putting them in cages and breeding. No thanks!

my mom found 4 behind a dumpster and their mom we think got run over cause she didint come back to get the cats sooo my mom hand fed them all from a day old and 2 of them died 2 weeks in and i named one "cuddles" and my mom named the runt of the group "champ" but they both died the same day. :(
