  • Didn't know Charlie Runkle was an interviewer :D

  • He could quate a phonebook and it would be the most interesting thing I've ever heard.

  • Why are peoples first reaction to seeing masked people, to show their faces?

  • @Jamsessionroom1337 rebelling against the system

  • Mr Anderson XD

  • wow Smith is fucking British? What the fuck!!

  • @PeterEhik British Australian (:

  • @PeterEhik He`s an Aussie of English descent born in Nigeria and has dual citizenship in London and Sydney , resulting in a unique Aussie/Brit mix . If you listen close , while he does a pretty convincing monotone General American accent for the most part as Smith in The Matrix Films he slips into his natural Aussie accent several times .

  • @1993MovieMan I always thought of Smith as an American hero. How can I take pride in being American if Smith isnt lol

  • @PeterEhik Well , Smith`s an American program played by an Aussie actor who sometimes slips up , think of it that way !

  • Hugo looks kind of like Nick Cave.

  • Hugo weaving is one of the most underrated actors in history, where is his oscar??? where is his academy award? where is his emmy?

  • 3:37-3:39 he sounded just like he did in V when he said yeah like that.

  • @PrimeTimeJokesta

That's the part where you think they sound the same, ahaha.. I'm sorry but really?

  • @xElyxSU pretty much, yeah. Of course he sounds the same throughout the whole vid but he sounded EXACTLY the way he did in V, just the laid back manner that he said reminded me of how he said it in the movie, I thought it was funny. Pretty funny that some people I know didn't know it was him until I showed them this, haha.

  • megatron!

  • He should have talked like his charkter "v" That would have made him extra cool:)

  • King elrond

  • Elrond?

  • @Centration lmao i have a lord of the rings poster up on my wall (cuz im a nerd haha) and as soon as they showed his face, i glanced at the poster, adn glanced back, and was like "......?" hahaha xD

  • @BellaPixi95 yeah xD

  • v v

  • Mr anderson

  • A hairier Agent Smith :D

  • 4:37 Really? Coz I thought you kicked ass in Matrix

  • His Australian accent isn't very strong! He kinda sounds English as well.

  • the great aussie Hugo Weaving being interviewed by a bald headed fag dressed in vendetta. great you ruined it.

  • Elrond !

  • @drezzerXD Agent Smith!

  • AGENT SMITH!!!

  • MR. ANDEERSOOON!

  • @felatioable welcome back. surprised to see me? he kicked ass in there too

  • Chuck, youre talking to Hugo fucking Weaving. You do not ask the main actor to discuss if he actually acted in the movie.

  • stupid fucking yank.

  • Ironic, isn't it, that he was cast. Considering his role in the matrix films.

  • He was perfect for this movie.

  • @Ektherion00 Totally agree!

  • epic bear is epic

  • The interviewer looks so happy xD

  • One of the best actors with one of the worst interviewers... serously... that Hugo Weaving you are talking to...

  • @ShawnLandersz totally agree!! you are talking with Hugo Weaving about such an amazing and complex character like V... and you ask... "was it you cooking the egg"?? WTF??

  • @ShawnLandersz He also play the voice of Megatron in Tranformers.

  • ._. Mr. Anderson's not here Hugo Or should I say..."._.Smith..."

  • am i the only that know Hugo weaving is the voice of Megatron in transformers it does not sound like

  • damn, did this guy just bullshit questions right there? well, i didn't expect too much from an entertainment channel...

  • looks like a hugo weaving/zack galifianakis hybrid

  • Not many "big name" stars would want that part because we never get to see his face.

Thumbs up for Hugo. He did an excellent job in a part that (supposedly) anyone could have played.

  • Comment removed

  • @FamilyOfMan1975 Though it feels like the movie would have been ruined if anyone else would have played the role.

  • @FamilyOfMan1975 Edward Norton played Baldwin IV in Kingdom of Heaven wearing an iron mask the entire film.

  • what a douche...

  • i realized im not the only one who's upset with this interviewer. the ideal case shud be an artist shud be interviewed by someone who appreciates his work. This guy looks like he'll enjoy watching Deuce Bigalow more than watching Weaving's movie.

I'll be kinder still, he's not the worst interviewer because he can talk. but it's the worst match up i've ever seen between an interviewer and interviewee.

  • Worst interviewer throwing away the best questions for the great voice (Weaving) behind the mask.

i would've asked this:1. how did u come up with the voice of V? what inspired u?

    2. what did u do to embody the very soul of that enigmatic character?

    3. after doing that role, how long did that V personality stayed on you or u forgot him on the spot?

    4. Do you have influences in the voice of V?

    5. How much of it was a challenge to act with a mask but still make one of the most memorable caractr?

  • 24 people voted Sutler

  • 4:02 :-( So weak.... SOOOO WEAK!!!

  • Great Actor, amazing how he Projected V's Personality and Presence through a Static Mask : Superlative Work, Terrific Acting.

  • Fucking Americans...

  • You may or may not believe this, but my freind is related to hugo weaving he has pictures with him on facebook. can't wait to see him in the Captain America film as the red skull!

  • Mister Anderson

  • @SnakeBigBoss24 lmao, just what i was thinking

  • I still can't believe that this is the same dude that played Mr.Smith from the Matrix and Elron from Lord of the Rings.... what an underrated actor.

  • @ramennoodlechef bro, don't forget that he has been the voices of several characters in 3D films, that voice, aside from the accent, is so enviable.

  • @ramennoodlechef he is one of the best actors indeed :)

  • 3:00 This is the second most stupid question of the interview after ""do you feel like a superheroe with the cape?"... This interviewer sucks =.='

  • Best caracter ever.

  • Comment removed

  • Is he australian? I always thought his normal accent was british!

  • Comment removed

  • @lordtufty Hugo`s Accent is A Mix ! He was born in Nigeria , his Mom`s from London where he spent much of his Early Life and his Family finally settled in Sydney where he is currently living and feels most at home in his Teens ! He`s got DUAL Citizenship in London and Sydney ! So , his NATURAL Accent`s A Brit/Aussie Mix !

  • bad interview on the interviewers part, hugo was fine but he didn't get the right questions

  • who the fuck is this interviewer and why has he been hired .

  • Holy hell, I have never seen him with a beard before .... 0_o;

    ELRROOOONDD!

  • theres no way for someone dare to ask about the political ideals of the movie...Beacause like it or not we are leaving in the same "world" as V in the movie...only the things are worse...its not only a country...its the Whole earth!

  • Hugo Weaving is a brilliant actor!

But you are one of the shittiest interviewers I have ever seen! Why did you ask such lame questions!?

  • ohh and i think that the speach remember the 5th of november is cool and i loved the explosions

  • Mr.V did u really fall in love with Eavy??

  • Ohh lord, whether he is Agent. Smith or just V, hugo weaving is amazing

  • @nights1212 dude JUST v?

  • Hugo's too awesome

  • 2 of the most talented actors are - Hugo Weaving and Gary Oldman

  • hugo weaving is srsly one of the best actors of all time he gets major roles all the time hes the red skull in the new capitan america movie :D

  • Chuck the Movieguy: Do you honestly get paid to ask such inane brain dead questions or do they just give you a coffee and five minutes? I have seen and heard 6 year old children ask my probing questions. what a F**KING MORON!!!

  • lol he didnt get the first question

  • V was Elrond!? :O

  • @LaddieGalicia V = Elrond in the LotR Trilogy = all the Smiths in the Matrix Trilogy. :D Epic.

  • @LaddieGalicia yesss, i love Elrond and i now love V!

  • I'm glad that they didn't show Hugo's face at any point in the movie. The Guy Fawkes mask was V's face, and i'm glad they didn't reveal the actor who played V because so many actors like to show their face to boost their egos, but that's not what an actor is. An actor is just somebody who plays a character in somebody elses story, and Hugo did it brilliantly, and didn't need to show his face for an ego boost. We wanted to see the character, not the actor

  • Too much fanboy, not enough interview, Chuck.

  • Wow, I didnt learn anything from this interview.

  • Right so this guy is the bloke who blew up parliament for the right of free speech?!

  • What a great actor, people forget that he isnt just Agent Smith, he also plays Arwen's Father/ Elf Lord in the Lord of the rings. It is a shame the film didnt show his face, not because it would have changing the film in anyway, but just because he should be given the credit he deserved. :)

  • @Phoenix1664 Thankfully I believe that many who saw the film really was interested in who was behind the mask ( partially due to the great performance) and looked it up. Most people I know who has seen the film knows that it's Hugo Weaving! And he his awesome!

ps. The elf lord's name is Elrond ;)

  • "this characters wear a mask and that's it..."

    fuck you asshole

  • I don't own a gilette, Mr. Anderson.

  • Airhead interviewer vs superb thespian on the topic of an intellectually stimulating movie. INTERVIEWER FAIL.

  • chuck you are retarded!

  • he should have kept the beard in the matrix

  • @iamthehobolord He should've kept the mask in the matrix.

  • Hugo is phenomenal, stays classy even for a dumb shit interviewer.

  • 13 People are Creedy.

  • AGENT SMITH WADDUP

  • Chuck Stop it!

  • What a waste of an interview. Could he have wasted Hugo's time even more? Of all the things he could possibly ask about such a deep and thought provoking film... he asks if it was hard to act with a mask on?!

  • that beard makes hugo look like paul Bunyon.

  • I should click dislike for this video, but I can't. It has Hugo Weaving in it.

  • Am I the only person who thinks he looks like Sting with the beard.

  • I don't like this interview too much. With all due respect Chuck but Hugo Weaving is a vastly intelligent figure whom can give extremely intriguing answers to any proper questions asked. The movie deals with a lot of actualities, taboo's and politics. Surely you could have done something interesting with that. Definitely more interesting then asking him if he felt like a superhero.

  • Ugh... why do I ever watch interviews by this guy? Seriously... who did he f@#& to get that job and who did he bl@$ to keep it?

  • Mr Anderson

  • youre a shitty interviewer

  • And thus I clothe my naked villainy

With old odd ends stolen forth from holy writ

And seem a saint when most I play the devil.

  • Movie Guy: How about asking a question & then shutting the fuck up. Terrible interviewing.

  • HE LOOKS LIKE GUY FAWKES!!!

  • I feel sorry for you Chuck... ignorant, simple minded poor soul. The Movieguy... bad joke. Hugo was really tolerant but I can imagine what he was thinking about during this "interview". Next time just keep your mouth shut, that would be better for everyone. This interviw was disgraceful! pathetic clown

  • I only liked this video because hugo weaving talks in it.

  • @iamsaztak totally agree

  • Poo poo on Chuck the movie guy. Worst interview ever. Agent Smith should have kicked some "movie guy" ass :)

  • I like Hugo Weaving's beard =)

  • wow chuck couldnt u ask better question u ruin the movie alot anyway

  • 4:02 WTF "do you feel like a superheroe with the cape?" my god, man you've got HUGO WEAVING in front of you talking about V FOR VENDETTA, my 8 years old sister would ask more interesting questions ! You could ask about the political ideals that V defends, the need of security, the opposition between security and freedom in our society but NO! you asked him about super-hero cape !!!!!!????

  • @Tonin41992 seriously, id normally say the actor wouldnt know shit about that... but as you said! HUGO WEAVING!

  • @Tonin41992 what he meant was did he feel empowered with the costume. V's outfit is very intimidating

  • @Tonin41992 I know I felt like reaching through the screen beating the shit out of him and taking over the bloody 'interview'

  • I didn't realize that V is this guy! Shit.

  • @USMCFUCKYEA Sometimes I'm not good at understanding a joke.

  • How does a tool like Chuck get an interview with such a great actor? Absolute bullshit.

  • Seriously this movie is a piece of shit comparing the comic book. Destroys the IDEA the story, the message into it. It´s a shame they took such a good story and message to tell and turn it in a empty movie.

  • @Emendil The graphic novel is crazy good, but I have to give the movie some props as well.

  • @thekswervedirt I enjoy watching the movie, but it´s really far away from the comic, probably you haven´t read it for a while, try to read just the first issue of the comic and then watch the movie. Then come back and let me know what you think. Every little thing´s been changed. By the way it´s not a graphic novel it´s a comic book.

  • @Emendil I must disagree, there are some different names and other little details yes, but the overall picture covers the story better then any other comic book film adaptation i have seen. We should not forget the comic book in its entire thing is quite a massive story with a lot of things going on. If you were to put all of it in the movie it would have 3 sequels or something, and thats something this movie does not need at all.

  • @kthebay If this is the best comic book adaptation that you have seen I guess your knowledge of cinema is ridiculous, That first, second the movie is comercial and childish and treats V as if he was just a super heroe. The bad guys are just clichés of Nzzis which is something that Alan Moore avoid totally in the comic book. The movie is superficial, dull and childish and something even worst. It changes the Nature and message of V.

  • @Emendil Well then i put it to you to name one example wich has done it better. Just one. The rest of your story is just subjective matter to wich im not even going to respond. Wether this movie works for you or not depends on how the comic book transfers its story to you and how conservative you are. Okay so it does not work for you, tough, it does work for me, it has nothing to do with my cinematic knowledge, whatever the hell that is.

  • @kthebay Dragon Ball Evolution

  • @USMCFUCKYEA In fact I did know he was born in Nigeria to BRITISH parents.

  • "where is the allspark!?"

  • Fav Male actor: Hugo weaving (Elrond, V, Agent Smith and he's gonna be the Skull in Captain America! Yay!). Awesome voice acting for Megatron.

  • did he say james purefoy? wtf thats awesome!

  • he's blazed as fuck.

  • Haha, he didn't get rid of British accent :D

  • @Oskareczekeczek He IS British. Idiot. And it's not a British accent, Britain is made up of 3 countries with different accents, it's an English accent

  • @JolleyEFC He isn't British, idiot. He was born in Nigeria and lived in Australia. I just didn't noticed that he was traveling to Britain many times. Anyway he's still more Australian than British, and he did not use he's English accent in the movies I've seen before.

  • @Oskareczekeczek Actually his parents are British so he is more British than Australian.

  • @Oskareczekeczek Both his parents were English and he went to school in England and he has lived there on many separate occasions. He is defiantly more English than Australian, plus when you live in a house with 2 English parents obviously you are going to pick up their accents!

And this guy is an actor, hence why he doesn't speak with an English accent in his films.

  • he is high

  • where can i buy the V for Vendetta mask?

  • @qAyyUm )escapade(dot)co(dot)uk /Masks-sale/Movie-Film-Masks/V-for-Vendetta-Mask.asp

  • @qAyyUm AMAZON(DOT)COM

  • Is he drunk? :P

  • One of my favorite movies :)

  • the beggining of this movie pissed me off, it reminded me of batman or someshit when he saves the bitch... after that part the movie blew my mind

  • Hugo always has a badass face in his movies.Althought this movie he uses a mask,we can still see his badass face

  • What's with the annoying music?

And what's with the pedestrian questions?

  • @hv07120 The music is so inappropriate, considering the mood and feel conveyed in the film, and to top it all off, the questions asked were so mundane and elementary and as a viewer, I honestly didn't care whether or not Hugo answered the questions.

  • that's fucking elrond?

  • Hugo Weaving, the one the only

  • he looks really old, and he has a beard........ but we love mr smith anyway!!!

  • hello mr anderson

  • three people forgot the fifth of november....

  • I can't wait for him to play the red skull in the captain America movie

  • he looks drunk

  • hugo weaving is a god

  • This guy is a really awful interviewer

  • Hugo Weaking is fluent in English, Elf and transformers language. FACT.

  • @195jordan Don't forget Binary.

  • @195jordan also fluent in 10101010101010101001010101001000101010101001000001010101010

    Hugo Weaving is amazing!

  • Ideas are bulletproof, Mr. Anderson.

  • @Caesar512 and the ring must be destroyed evey

  • @Caesar512

    ....And jesus proof :D
