I am taking Suboxone, which is bupe with naloxone, and it has completely taken away all of my chronic pain I've dealt with in my spine due to disease for the past 4 years! I took pill after pill every day, until it became abuse and no amount of hydro or morphine could take the pain away. I was always at a "7" or "8" on the pain scale. Now, my pain is less than a "1!" It has been amazing. I do not crave any drugs anymore. It's changed my life!
@RickChavezMD Did you even read what I was replying to? I was answering @bloodieduckies about if Suboxone was right for him when he has (hopefully had) a METHAMPHETAMINE addiction.
I live in florida, Here pain pills are all over and have a hold on everyones life. I was a user of 240 30mg oxycodone a month and still had to buy some.. I joined the methadone clinic and the just wanted to keep raising my does. Also the methadone still gives you a buzz. At this point i thought I would never feel normal again, I would never be able to get clean. Then suboxone came along, This medication is gods send, You feel normal, No buzz what so ever. No withdraws, These meds saved my life
@dankish YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. SUBOXONE, SUBUTEX, BUPRENORPHINE, WILL GET MOST METHADONE ADDICTS OFF OF THEIR MEDICATION. I HAVE THOUSANDS S OF PATIENTS WHO HAVE DONE VERY WELL. MANY HUNDREDS WERE ON METHADONE.
I was taking methadone from a friend off the street for 2 years daily around 30mgs,I came off cold turkey after he died and missed my suboxone appointment on purpose thinking I would feel better in a month or so after my last methadone dose,Its been 5 months and I'm suffering really bad from PAWS,I lost my job/car and lots of friends and time and picked up a nasty crystal meth habit thats leading to a downhill spiral just to get energy to function

@bloodieduckies Suboxone is for Opiate abuse, which means it will not help you with meth withdrawl, or to help get off of it.

To Suboxone, I love your strips! They dissolve so fast and are so much more effective as a result.

Is suboxone right for me?

@bloodieduckies YES. BUT IT MUST BE GIVEN BY A SPECIALIST WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING.
