@Amomma2B It's normal for babies to gag as they explore foods and start to practice BLW but in terms of choking, they are far more likely to choke being spoonfed bcs they have no control of the food going in their mouths and they are forced to swallow it rather than savour, chew it, lick it etc..
@missusangel Thank you! yesterday was my first time really letting him sit down and eat whatever he wanted with his hands...and he loved it! he had a blast lol and he ate more than usual too =0)
How's Rebecca doing now? How did the BLW go? My wife and I are interested in starting this for our 4 1/2 month old daughter, and I'm looking for advice and/or tips! Anything for us?
@TheFunnyrats BLW worked out wonderfully for Rebecca. She's two years old now, and eats like a pro with very little mess, both with an without utensils. Even the kindergarten teachers comment on that. Meals have been (mostly) fun and relaxing since we started with BLW, and I'm convinced it was a good decision to introduce this to her.
Good luck with BLW for your daughter. Have patience with her, and I'm sure you (all) will enjoy it like we did.
@taskeladd AWESOME! Thanks for the advice and the experiences you had. I'm excited to let her do this, but I think I should read the book first.. did you read it?
I LOVE THIS... Watching them explore, experience and just learn is great.. So many people fear this concept.. But i love it
