bodidharama may have introduced the art to the monks but the monks were the one who refined it, further developed it and made it popular. and rarely do u see indians doing thsi style of martial arts
because bodidharma had influenced the shaolin wushu, many movements are simular to kalari payat an indian martialart... but before bodidharma come to china, there was allready gong fu, especially many of daoizim gong fu schools for example
Its monkey style see the way he jumps around and putting his hands on his head to see its abt monkey and he rans around on the floor with his hands as well just like a monkey
its called monkey fist. its really hard to master. its made to confuse the enemy and make them think ur unbalanced and weak. but acturally its a really dangerous art.
GREAT video. Horrible quality of comments...At least recently. Some folks need some clues. But oh well what can you expect. Thanks for posting this vid - I like it alot. Good soundtrack, nice mix of traditional and contemporary. I usually don't go for contemporary - cept for the golden era - and thats what ya got...So...Great! :)
I can identify certain techniques that we use in the Tang Lang Chuan style like the cross blocks and falling stances, but some of his stances looke like they are from the crane style..maybe a combo?
the one in white is using wushu style, in fact most of the styles here are wushu style because they exaggerate certain techniques for aesthetic purposes. The performer in white seems to know a bit of tang lang chuan
lol the guy in black and blue ae moving so fast ehy'll kick ur ass before you knew what hit you. And the 1st dude in yellow, the monkey one, he can easily beat u up and haul buggy lol. The kid is awsome no doubt.
The dude in the white is my all time favorite. His style looks just like ling( chinese girl) from tekken the game. Her style rocks ass but you have toknow how to use her in order to rock.
Im a takweondo artist or stirving to be one. But this video is awsome.
the fith performer/the guy in black could possibly display a distinct dragon-style. his claws and his body-turns may indicate that. looks somehow like a dragon to me. that routine had been posted on youtube before and i think it was titled "green dragon" (qing long).
The first three looked like Monkey, Crane, and Eagle styles... I don't know about the others inbetween but the last one looked alot like Choy Li Fut. Not bad, very pretty to look at.
After seeing the first two, I thought this was just old school modern wushu, but then all the weird styles showed up. What the hell is that stuff!? Ive never seen those. Check out 3 minutes in. Man thats weird. The kid looks like a crab.
yo i think this is just old school wushu judging from the movements and also the clothing.
