Mate nice video - but your case only has 15 cans at 355ml each, here in Australia it may have failed the test because a case consists of 24 cans at ~ 375ml each! Ha ha
@RobscoRC How in the world did you manage to give it a 30 mile range? I suppose you've got a way of sending a live video feed from the camera... what range can you get the video? This copter is amazing. I've gotta' do a project for college a quad, but it isn't goint to be anywhere near as fancy as what you've got here.
@Impact929 HAHAHA thats funny. We both own AR Drones already and don't like them. You can't compare a AR Drone to this, thats like compairing a Kia to an F1 Indy Car.
@Impact929 This machine is for commercial use. Its best feature is its UAV ability. It will fly on its own, literally. It has continuous link with a main computer, you can set waypoints on the fly and have the unit take off, fly around to multiple points, and land on its own. It has pin point GPS position lock and heading hold so we can send it up and take a picture from the exact same spot every time. Gyro stabilized camera mounts even. The AR drone is a toy.. The Mikrokopter is not.
@RobscoRC You can use a wide array of programming programs to do anything that the mikrokopter does, it even is used as examples of programming in universities. It can also easily have a gopro mounted and the new version Ar drone 2.0 is bringing a host of new features for the same price,$300
@Impact929 I can't believe your still comparing the Mikrokopter to an AR Drone. What you don't understand is that this is a COMMERCIAL machine. Used for WORK.. to make MONEY... If you want a toy go right ahead and buy the AR Drone. But it DOES NOT work for what we need.. Our customers demand quality and a GoPro Cant do it.. Nevermind the AR Drones 50 ft range in best conditions.. Come on dude give it up.
@RobscoRC I already have 2 drones, and have flown them at 100 meters (328feet) using multiple wifi boosters. The Ar drone can be used commercially and as a "toy". A gopro hd hero 2 also CAN do it. It is capable of 1080p and up to 120fps, just look at my channel to see what the gopro can do. Also the second Ar drone as a pressure sensor increasing its abilities of control at higher altitudes
@Impact929 Ok buddy. I challenge you, prove me that you can do with an AR Drone everything that I can with the Mikrokopter.. Lets start simple, lift 10 lbs of camera gear. No? ok.. Take a 18 megapixel RAW image with an 85mm lense at the perfect angle, now without landing change the angle of the camera.. No? ok.. Go to a construction site once a week fly to the EXACT spot and take a picture from 500 ft straight down at the site. Now add 20mph wind.. No? hmm.. do some research
@RobscoRC Why would I need to change the angle of the camera, I could just turn around, adjust tilt to maintain a constant angle, !8 megapixels would be a bit steep for my budget but it is possible.. All these things can be done especially the 10 pounds (4kg). You must also remember that an ar drone is only $300, your Hexacopter is $9,500.00, simple maths points out that the ar drone can do more per dollar.I challenge you to fly your hexacopter from your room remotely, to a nearby park and back
@Impact929 HAHA buddy your Hilarious.. I DARE you to pick up 1 can of beer.. Make a video and post it. 1 can.. lol. make sure to demonstrate your 40 km radio range, laptop connection so you can fly from anywhere in the world.. High wind stability, camera orientation control and remote shooting of course. I look forward to your amazing video where you prove you can do everything a mikrokopter can. I suggest you get to work because its going to be an amazing video.
@Impact929 Coke then.. same thing. You can't lift one can of coke never mind a whole case. Remember this is a Professional grade unit, not a toy. The AR drone does not have the strength for heavy lifts. And we REQUIRE high quality cameras that can be separately controlled.. Thats Pan, Tilt, Zoom, and of course hitting the shutter. The AR Drone CAN NOT DO THAT.. Get it in your head.. And don't start ranting about the HD Heros.. I own 2 of them.. There good but not THAT good..
@RobscoRC Oh and I said 100m, not 40Km that would require more wifi power and a flying range, I am not in any proximity to one and there is over 40 networks in my area, making it a bit hard to maintain a stable connection
@RobscoRC Sorry was flying could not receive internet. If you crashed that what would happen, All that money down the drain and the Loss of an 18 megapixel camera. Even replacement parts would be hard to come by and expensive. If you crash the ar drone you don't even need replacement parts most the time, even if you do they are mostly cheap, available online on demand (and I am in Australia)
@Impact929 This also proves my point. We expensive, overpowered, highly elaborate machines because we trust them and know they won't crash. If you were a mechanic would you trust your job tool set made of plastic for kids to play with? No, you have high quality tools.. Same thing. A professional photographer does not take pictures with an iPhone, a musical does not buy a guitar at walmart.. point proven.. I will not respond to anymore of your comments unless its a serious question.
@RobscoRC I acknowledge that there are some things an Ar drone cannot do but if you where not wanting to invest in such a fragile thing that would require heaps of training in order to be useful, training that would not be present in the target audience of your product making it require more time than the Ar drone
@Impact929 I think what your trying to say is not everyone needs this kind of technology.. And your right, I agree.. But some people do, we do, our customers do.. Thousands of people around the world who take arial photography seriously know what they need and what they want.. and the AR drone is not what they want.. If it can't lift and control a heavy high quality camera then its useless to them, which is where these machines shine. Not everyone needs a semi truck either, but others do.
So obv. that you used a empty box and not a real 15 pack.
I can see it in the flight characteristics and the way you set the box down. You held the box to far away from your body for it to be full, looked totally unnatural.
@ZeroNadaZilch Actually we did lift a case of 15.. Go ahead and don't believe me if you want, but we did.. And your "flight characteristics" is obviously an uneducated claim.
@ZeroNadaZilch Thats a good quote but seriously, we did lift that case of beer. Look into the power of those machines. There insane. I'm not kidding around we seriously did. I won't try convincing you anymore. Take it or leave it, I'm not lieing.
@RobscoRC Ok here's my verdict. Looking at the placement of the tape it's clearly not a full 15.
Can this machine lift a 15er? Yeah more than likely.
Would you risk $4k to prove it in a YouTube vid? I know I wouldn't, that would be silly would it not? I would tell my partner "Hey let's play it safe, empty the box 1st nobody will know the dif. and we won't risk 4k, won't risk losing the sweet copter you just unboxed. Win/Win
They make clear containers, I can easily be pwned, no holes ncans
@ZeroNadaZilch haha your hilarious. You clearly know nothing about these machines, or my youtube channel.. We put expensive gear at risk all the time. We own 4 of these machines, if you think we care about wrecking one in a crash your wrong again. But hey keep replying your blabber because every time you click on this video I make money.. Win/win
@RobscoRC - I guess this guy thinks its cheap when you hang $30,000 dollars worth of camera, gimbal, custom servos, gyros, downlink, receiver, and batteries under a $4000.00 machine? Testing the machine at max load if a fine line between crashing and celebrating. Any good pilot has to know his machines limits! It's a love to hate relationship!
So whats the flight time with that 12 pack? I might be able to send it to the beer store for me.lol.
@PhuckingJerk haha all true words my friend.. We did pretty well actually. A 5 min flight fully loaded is not out of the question. We never drain our packs below 40% just for safety reasons and we actually flew this whole video on one set of lipos!
@videoguy837 I totally agree. We live at 3200 ft in Calgary. The air is approx 12% less dense up here than sea level. We could slaughter a 15 pack down there. Cheers
