Another interesting thing, I got the Ice Mail from the very first Frozen Shade I killed o-o I was surprised by it's defense difference... though of course I didn't have the Mirror Curiass at the time.

Well i'm playing the game right now and i've been stuck for at least an hour or two watched your videos, and followed the secret path in the caverns the oarsmen was there since i had the relic, and i was able to get the underwater relic :DDDD TY

Yeah Healing items arent that useful in this game. Especially by the time you get to the reverse castle, you will likley have enough health that you could heal at a save room before you get desparate enough to use food and potions.

at 1:15 U CAN MAKE THAT JUMP!!1 all you have to do is turn into wolf go to down the stairs to the bottom screen then face the stairs double forward dash then as soon as you get back to the screen with the pot jump right and you will be on that ledge its a garnet

@IceReaper898 This game, you cant really sequence break. This game is VERY open ended when it comes to exploring. There are hundreds of possible orders to complete the game. Just go look at some of the online guides. They take you thru dozens of different paths. While you eventually visit all the areas. the order can be different from playthru to playthru.

let me get this straight. you were suppose to have known to purchase the blue gate item from the librarian so you could hit the switch!? then get to the caverns which covers almost half the entire castle!? well i guess the good news is i have all the abilities needed to clear the whole section now. i hope hitting that switch does the trick. i've been trying to figure out how to get down there for a year.

Soma and Julius are definately not vampires. Soma possesses dark powers and Julius is a vampire SLAYER, not a vampire. Also, Genki, the guy dressed in black that you see within the first five minutes of the game that saves you from those monsters in the beginning of the castle is Alucard. He almost says his name whenever he speaks to Yoko Belnades later in the game.

@splashgordon2 now with the DS castlevanias (DoS, PoR and OoE) you can swim!!! there are even levels inside the castle (and outside the castle too =D) that you need to go underwater just to get to the boss and stuff... it's awesome man!

@splashgordon2 Well, Alucard is only damaged by water not because he can't hold his breath or anything, but because according to old vampire myth, water was like acid to the vampire.

@splashgordon2 I think, in this case, it has something to do with an idea that vampires cannot abide contact or even proximity with running water. Alucard is only half vampire, I think, so while he doesn't crumble to dust or something when he touches the water, he also can't swim and water is harmful without something to prevent said harm.

99 is nowhere near the max you can get. you can get loads. Can't give a proper answer, because I don't know for sure, but on my char, I have 350+ hearts

Why don't you have the starting equipment... You do know that you can bypass Death taking your stuff by walking in the room where he does and quickly going back...? You have to do it in like have a second, but it works.

According to mythology, they were at the Straits of Messina, and you couldn't avoid one, without encountering the other. Ulysses (Odysseus) encounters them in The Odyssey.
