It's a good song, maybe not for this generation, but it's still good solid rock. Plus, AR is married to one of the Bananarama girls so he gets extra points for that.
Musically I think Andrew was talented, it's not his fault his voice was not good. He should have partnered up with some female vocalist and I think he would have made a lot more music. Just my opinion of course.
The image is way too over-the-top, he tries too hard to outdo George's macho image he had at the time with the Faith album, he's not a particularly good vocalist, and his lyrical abilities are not quite as sharp as George's, but it definitely showed he was not without some musical talent. Deficiencies and flaws aside, at least, he sincerely seemed to try to put out good solo music.
