I could live without this for about 3-5 years after it's initial release. There's no point being a consumer on the cutting edge of tech, just a waste of money for a product that will soon be made inferior
So, basically it's an ipad that isn't portable, requires a setup of IR cameras around it, costs 10 to 20 times as much, and won't be ready for end users for another 3 years?
"I almost crashed it by dragging the thing over the other thing" hmmm... well thats out the window... Piece of shit crashes after a human error lawl...
Any words on when it's going to be available to the average joe? I heard Microsoft saying that they are going to make it affordable for people... etc. but when will that happen.. Because, I would REALLY love to have something like this at my house.. :)
its a giant iphone that isn't an iphone and doesn't have an actual touchscreen(it uses cameras behind the screen) and is made by Microsoft and will never fit in your pocket or have 20+ fart apps available for it.
The thing i hate about surface is that they flash it in our face, with all the apps and features, and they only give it to companys (ITS LIKE, DONE ALREADY, AND IT HAS BEEN FOR LIKE A YEAR NOW!!!)
I'm designing some apps for Surface right now at speakTECH, and these UX updates will be a huge help. Looking forward to getting SP1 installed to play with.
I want one.
But I'm not paying 10k .

It even looks like an iPad around the screen!!!
dhbetty 1 year ago
@dhbetty the microsoft surface was designed and created before the ipad was actually brainstormed.

Can i sleep or lean on the top of that thing?
jhonene 1 year ago
@jhonene Do not disrespect the product. People spent hours making it, ken?
dowling1981 1 year ago
@dowling1981 ow I'm so sorry. hhehehe
I did not mean anything but the question's point is " is it ok if you will lean on that one".
jhonene 1 year ago
@jhonene Mind not, for the moment has passed. Now to more pleasant matters; did you enjoy yon video?
dowling1981 1 year ago
That would be hilarious if Linux made a system for that. It's about 20 times better then an Ipad, I like it.

wheres the internet on this? does it even have internet?
cubano100por100to 1 year ago
If this has a plasma screen that that would ruin it entirely for me.

This will be great for stretegy games. From checkers, to Red Alert. I told Bill Gates that and he agrees with me.
Microsoftultimatefan 2 years ago
now is this capable of going on internet? thats all i want to know.
yorffoeg9040 2 years ago
@yorffoeg9040 It wouldn't matter because they're only selling this to buissnesses. thus you won't find it in houses.
Microsoftultimatefan 2 years ago
@yorffoeg9040 But if it didn't have internet connection. Then how would people download the SP1 for this.
Microsoftultimatefan 2 years ago
Yeah! They said that it will be available to the general public in 3-4 years tho.. but I want it sooner.. :S
And when I say sooner.. I mean now! hehe

If you can't wait, build it, 'cause I'm sure it will take years.

utubeVanillaBoy 2 years ago 2
@MadSon011 Actually, its a multi-touch screen enhanced with a camera.
Microsoftultimatefan 2 years ago
Great product! I noticed that some precise touches didn't register though.
jacksoncapper 2 years ago
the only touch that didnt register was because he missed the screen
TheHusky9 2 years ago
Yeah i blew it. Surface is super good at getting every little touch.
