Hello there, I lived in a village only 30 KM from here for almost 8 months. In my opinion, the little buses (Pronounced marshrutkas) work very well. I could get from my home to Khujand and back for for about 10 somoni ($2.50 US). There were always a lot of marshrutkas at the bazaars and you could get anywhere and everywhere you needed to go all over the country for a very reasonable price.

Taxi cabs are also abundant, and very cheap.
