Devon is in the limo next to Jimi wearing the headscarf.... yes, Pat Hartley was an actress for Andy Warhol's Factory an appeared in some of his movies - that's how she got to be in the Rainbow Bridge Film.
@IamDottieDandridge The lady at 5:40 is actually Pat Hartley. Not Devon Wilson, Hartley was also in the Rainbow bridge documentary with Jimi. and believe it or not, she is still around.
@IamDottieDandridge The heroin girl looks nothing like Devon imo. And besides, this documentary came out in 1973. Unless Devon was interviewed right after Jimi's death, it couldn't be her. Devon died in February of 1971, two years before this documentary came out.
He is one of my fave electric guitarists ever, a monumental genius, but his acoustic chops......he aint got nothin on Mississippi John Hurt, Son House or any of those cats. Or Leo Kottke as well.
That song is variously known as "Hear My Train a-Comin", "Gettin My Heart Back Togeher" etc. There is a phenomenal version on "Rainbow Bridge" cd, or you can watch it "Jimi Plays Berkely" which is pretty amazing.
@balsaboy55 She is clearly stoned and heroin makes you itch. Btw I don't know where you think her coochie is situated, but I would imagine it somewhat lower as were she scratches.
If I'm not mistaken this movie is the only time he was ever flimed playing a 12 string guitar. It's rare enough to see him playing an acoustic guitar but a 12 string, now that's awsome.
Clapton was dead wrong. Hendrix was not naive at all. He understood what he was doing but he was completely psychological isolation. He could not articulate himself in any way other than music and that sometimes isn't enough for a Black man living in the USA.
@squashedtomato Jimi knew exactly who he was he was acting his life beeing himself and acting flamboyant at times he knew he was a unique person and he knew he had a special gift and he knew it was a short mission tto << if six was nine << was recorded in the beginning of his carrer but it says everything
@blackdude57 I wasnt saying that.....of course he knew he was famous and talented- I meant I dont think he realised the true 'extent' of his influence on people in his life time and what i meant to them. ..you'll understand one day...

@Gypsyblood7 He did just that. Black Gold. The Hendrix family says it'll be out this decade.
