TheSRalston, no reset needed on the car, the reason you do a reset when you replace the battery is to let the car know the new voltage, as your old battery drains, the voltage drops, the modules in the cars adapt and take a lower voltage, when you replace the battery with a new fresh battery that has a higher voltage, a reset is required so the modules can know the correct voltage and amps, simple disconnect and reconnect is no problem.
