  • i got a hi-point .40, decent $100 gun

  • took him 3 month to be able to walk without crutches

  • hi point 9mm ain't no joke one of my friend shot himself accidently on his leg and it went through his leg and before that it hit the bone and shatter it in half and my friend had alot of explaining to do at the hospital. And the hi point was only 3.5 inch barral imagine a full size 4.5 inch barral gun . GOOD GUN FOR THE PRICE. IT CAN GET THE JOB DONE IF PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR CHEAP HOME DEFENCE PISTOL HI POINT C9 is the one

  • I like...12ga 1.5oz slug vs phonebook better

  • i got one a while back, fun at the range, especially with ammo prices these days, never had a jam, nice gun for a couple hundred

  • the hi-point sucks. i used to own one and it jammed every other shot after putting about 200 rounds through it. worst pistol ever.

  • .45 duh there's no sense in shooting twice

  • Of course it will go though a punny phonebook..the nazis would line 5 jews up front to back in a row and put a round in the first jews gut and the 9mm round would go through all 5 of the jews..the 9mm FMJ round has great penetration power.

  • great it goes right through and doesn't even stop to pee. Use a 40 or 45, it may not go through but that intruder, or phonebook in this case, will feel it a lot more. 9mm ammo is cheaper for practice though.

  • on the sopranos, a .38 shot through a phonebook went all the way to the "T", now i know thats wrong.

  • i like big natural boobs.

  • @traiter82 Good for you, try redtube not youtube.

  • damn rebel phonebooks! i feel ur payne james..... i lost an arm fighting the yellowkong! and y is this guy bragging about a FIREARM shooting all the way through a phonebook? wtf

  • 9mm weak. Might as well shoot .22's.

  • @NowLifeStarts 9mm's are perfectly fine. No, they don't have a crazy amount of penetration, but they are inexpensive and get the job done regardless. Why do you think that the Beretta 92FS is standard issue in the U.S. military? Also, .22's are strictly a a target and varmint round, one .22 will take out pretty much anything smaller than a raccoon, and with the right gun can be tack drivers.

  • @NowLifeStarts stand in front of one.

  • @empreme Another gay 9mm defender. Might as well carry an airsoft gun. lol

  • @NowLifeStarts lol troll

  • @empreme lol 9mm homo.

  • @NowLifeStarts Yeah I guess I'm a .40 SW homo, a 7.62x39 homo, a .308 homo, a 12 gauge homo, and a .30 Carbine homo.

    You're still a troll though..

  • @empreme Rifles are for homos who chase around deer in the woods and kill them for no reason. .40 slow and worthless is for panzies with limp wrists. Sorry. All homo.

  • @NowLifeStarts Don't troll me, bro! you are actually pretty funny though.

  • @NowLifeStarts

    Wanna test that theory?

  • @TheDuvalMilitia You proved my point again. Thank You.

  • The 04.20.58etc. Became 00.00.00 XDD

  • People that dog these Hi-points out are stupid assholes. I just bought a Hi-Point .45, and it has been flawless so far. My friend has a Hi-Point 9mm (which I am probably going to buy from him), and it performs equally well.

  • IN SOVIET RUSSIA PHONEBOOKS SHOOT YOU (especially when you leave it on the front porch after it gets delivered...)

  • whats wrong with stoppingpowerinfo!?!?!?!? they tend to shoot anything that smiles :(

  • The phonebook makes a worthy opponent of the hi-point, they both weigh the same and are equal in bulkiness. lol

  • @Robertjcksn40 lol. somethin about hi points.... ugly. ... but in a cute way. lol.

  • @SupremeAmerican Like a cute cat, infested with fleas and very sickly looking lol

  • .22's will go through a phonebook, well atleast CCI stingers do, cant remember if normal hollow points did or not :S

  • GET OFF MY LAWN, LOVETT LAW FIRM!!!

  • nice grouping how far away were you ?

  • @fayrechick 10ft with 9x magnification.

  • LOLOLOLOL as i was watching this an Ad just popped up that said "9MM WONT PROTECT YOU"

  • @killervid yeah. you know what is horrible. i have actually seen one of those adds pop up that says "12 gauge wont protect you" so i dunno..... Maybe it's time to get a 4 gauge?

  • @SupremeAmerican Those adds are funny, the guy has never tried breaking into my house lol.

My 12 gauge with oo buckshot will hurt like a bitch

  • That last part is funny. Looks like hes trying to find a phone number really fast.

  • ok, now i know iphonebook cant protect me,

    thx dude!

  • now try this with a chines phone book

  • I did this in my basement with a 995 carbine and I set up a phone book and put three thick books behind it and the bullets went through the first three books but the fourth one stopped it. I was able to retrieve the bullets and they looked smooshed. I was using Fiocchi fmj 9mm

  • Try using a Chinese phone book

  • @OGST33L LOL, try using BAZOOKA then :)

  • think it would go throw a chines phone book.lol

  • @hppyadam

Perhaps you should not throw your grammar and spelling books in front of your firearms anymore...it is affecting your image on YouTube!

  • @libarata I GOT ADHD SO I DONT GIVE A SHIT.

  • @hppyadam Sorry bro what? I wasn't paying attention...

  • that's like a pea shooter, try using hollow points at least

  • testing on phonebooks isnt so far feched.....its a fact that some people are using phonebooks as a chest plate.....poor mans body armor........all rounds wont penetrate.......

  • ahh hi-point the cheapest and ugliest money can buy

  • WHERE ARE THE FUCKING WATERMELONS, COWERING IN A HOLE, THING BEFORE YOU SHOOT, THE WATERMELONS ARE BECOMING EXTINCT! ALSO, CANTALOPES ARE EVIL! :p

  • I can believe a hipoint did that to a phone book... i still hate them and rather use a rock to defend myself instead of one those overly clunky piece of shit...

  • Try soaking the phone-book in water overnight and THEN see what happens! It's a great way to test the expansion characteristics of hollow point bullets because they WILL NOT penetrate all the way through a thick, well soaked phone book!

  • Shoot a phonebook from China.

  • You need FMJ

  • lol i was watching burn notice and they taught me how to bulletproof my car with phone books.

  • high points are shit guns not trollin save up 300 more bucks and get an spring feild xd or 1911.

  • @airsoftloverusp uh no. haha no they are not. i fire my grandfathers government model 1911 and i prefer my hi point, it may be tht the 1911 he has is over 35 years old, but i still like my hi point c9 more.

  • Awh. Sounds like a kitty cat.

  • yo can a regular walther p99 9mm bullet pierce a phonebook btw awsome videos i hope you get more views soon

  • in Soviet Russia smiling phonebooks shoot You!

  • lol nut shot

  • your better of wetting the phone book

  • LOL imagine a phonebook bullet proof suit....

  • yeah, better test your ammo on them phonebooks in case they ever start a rebellion. i had a friend who died in a phonebook uprising a few years back. them phonebooks know how to scrap.

  • @theporterjames Obviously you haven't met our nemesis the Cantaloupe...

  • @StoppingPowerInfo ooo, no. i havent run into any vicious gangs of large melons of any variety...

  • @StoppingPowerInfo What about the watermelon of Waverly!

  • @StoppingPowerInfo

Were you using the Hi Point 995 carbine or the C9 pistol?

  • @andrewvanrhoberts carbine

  • @StoppingPowerInfo I heard the water melons were making a comeback too...

  • @hunterziegelmann Never even been out of style in the part of the country I'm from...

  • @StoppingPowerInfo I know of it. Once, a cantaloupe just ran up to me with a knife and started stabbing me in the chest repeatedly... at least ten holes in my sternum.

  • @StoppingPowerInfo , why dont you shoot things that arent guaranteed to be penatrated. its boring

  • @theporterjames ROFLMAO hahahaha

  • @theporterjames They Dont leave any bruises either hehe

  • @theporterjames He was shooting at the lawyers in the front.

  • @theporterjames i think we all lost somebody in the phonebook uprising of 2005, i lost my dog, my house and 2 of my sisters,

  • @theporterjames

Those are all nothing compared to the infamous soup can.

Those soup cans kill people standing still with its high sodium content and it leaves a bloody mess when you shoot one down.

  • Next time try some hollow point rounds with a soaked phone book.

  • stop hating i have the same gun and glock 22 4th gen i like my hi point its never jamed and its chaep but will the same thing as my glock

  • my gamo pellet guncould do that!

  • ive had 1 1/2 large phonebooks stop 45 fmj rounds

  • @skanN86 that makes sense .45 isn't designed for penatration its designed to put you flat on your ass with max stopping power the 9mm was designed for penatration.

  • @skanN86

I'd like to see what will happen if a hollow point bullet get inside of phonebooks...

  • Theme of this video? Don't hold a phonebook in front of you if getting shot at.

  • I wonder if that shyster knew how that book would be used when he plastered his mug on it?

  • sure there is ricky might take long but count the grains of sand :P

  • Can somebody explain to me what Hi-point means?

    Thx

  • it means gun in german lol

  • No it doesn´t.

Gun is either Gewehr,Pistole oder Kanone in german.

It seems to be a certain kind of ammo...

  • hi point means the company reached a high point in time where theyve become a successful firearms company. You have got to be one fuckin idiot if u thought what i said was serious! obviously HI POINT isnt german for gun. MY GOD PEOPLE ARE DUMB

  • @ricky6bubbles well, people obviously are very impolite as well...

  • The phone book still smiling. It's mocking you!

  • I bet it wont go through a hong kong phone book, got like 10000 billon pages.

  • i dont think theres 10000 billion of anything

  • If a phonebook robs my house I know what to use.

  • @BMXbiker551

man, you said the exact same thing someone 2 comments down said. how original.

  • duh

  • The next time a phone book tries to rob my house I know exactly what to use.

  • HAHA.

  • @electronicelaborare just ask it what the number for 911 is. While it is confused, grab it and throw it in the fire.

  • Comment removed

  • do u even own a FIREARM ?

  • no i'm english. I live in uk.

  • That's a very thin phone book.

I know, from personal experience, that the Yellow Pages from a large U.S. city will easily stop a high velocity (corbon) 9x19mm parabellum jacketed hollow-point round. A 9x19mm ball end bullet, of course has greater penetration, but a single large Yellow Pages will stop them some of the time.

  • Well, seems to me that it depends. I happen to live in a city of ~100K, and that's the phone book that represents it. Sure, there's a lot of cities with thicker phonebooks, that's no trick. However, (a) I have access to thrown away ones locally and (b) if I lived in one of those bigger cities I proally couldn't go shoot them :-)

  • I live just outside a city of 1.5 million people. I too have/had (I haven't done this in about 15 years) access to thrown away phone books too. I used to use them as a "gun range backstop" of sorts in my basement (always with not-so-hot hollow point target rounds.)

  • @StoppingPowerInfo dang man...i jus threw away lik 80 phonebooks lol...thick ones...shoulda gave em to you...phonebook recycling the way it shuld be lol

  • @Hoopermazing Hollow points are designed to expand on impact without exiting dude, an fmj will go right through

  • so is this video about the High Point gun or the ammo? Personally I would never buy a High Point. You get what you pay for and in the long run those guns don't hold up. Sometimes it IS about the name--Ruger, Smith, Kimber...and more about the quality firearms they are producing. High Points are the Yugo of the gun world, and I haven't seen a Yugo in years!

  • i just bought a hi point carbine and it hasnt failed once. theyre made in the usa and if they ever break they fix it free of charge, no questions asked. you cant go wrong.

  • for the price you pay for this gun, its actually a good deal.

  • Dumbass its the bullet that goes though the paper not the gun.

  • The beretta 92 itself is incapable of such a shot, realistically. AT its VERY BEST, it is capable of 12-15" groups at 300 yards from a very good machine rest. So even if an individual actually had the ability to do it, the pistol he was using would not itself be able.

  • did it go in and out... i couldnt tell

  • It went all the way through -- you can see the dirt kicking up in the background.

  • my 250 bar air rifle will do that too

  • I love how most of the comments are arguing about the C9 Hi-Point Pistol, but in the video it clearly states the Carbine was used.

  • ZDOes anyone commenting here really know anything about guns and ballistics? It doesn't seem like it. Hi-point is trash,I can do better with a potato gun.

  • I'll tell what, you use your potato gun and I'll use my HI-Point 995 carbine at 75 yards and we will see who wins. My Hi-Point is dead on and took the head clear off of a rabbit at 50 yards.

  • lol ok you go out there with a potato gun and ill go out there with a hi-point.

first one to get shot in the face and die loses.

  • I prefer my Beretta 92F,plain and simple Hi-Point is trash,a throw away for wanna be gang bangers. The carbine wouldn't match up with my Beretta. 75 yards for a carbine is ridiculous,if I can't drop a moving target at 300+ yards,it's useless and I can do that open sites with my pistol.

  • i probably prefer the 92FS as well, but the high point is still better than a potato gun.

  • WTF? now we know your spraying bullshit, i will give you my entire gun collection if you can actually HIT, much less drop a moving target at 300 yard with a Beretta 92F. I mean seriously, how dumb are you to even say that?

  • My best shot with open sights with my Beretta was 327 yards, stationary target light cover, medium light, low wind from high ground. ,it was at the Chocolate Mountain Gunnery Range

You don't have to believe it,I get my name for a reason.

  • Im calling bullshit, not trying to be mean BUT, the Chocolate mountain gunnery range is an aerial range that is closed to civilians.... also do you even no the bullet drop at 300 yards is? additionally the ftlbs at 300 yards is roughly 210 shooting a 115 grain bullet at 1800 fps.... not nearly sufficient to 'drop' anything that weighs over 105 pounds.

  • You're correct Chocolate Mountain is closed to civillians, and they do more than aerial drops there. The trajected bullet drop of a 9mm 115 gn 1800 fps is 68 to 70 inches at 300 yards........approximately,then you still need to figure wind sheer ( windage) makes every shot unique.

perfectly capable of massacring clay targets at 300 yards, but yes is better suited for 100 yards and below, but doable in the correct hands.

  • Alright now that information makes it believable, also try to include some of that information the first time lol. Otherwise you seem like one of those idiots that don't know shit about guns, and ill admit, I'm not that technical with guns, yet. Hell I'm only 16.

  • not bad info on ballistics for being 16,you knew enough to question the info you were getting. I will concede the shot described is difficult with a carbine, even more so with a handgun but it is possible.

At 16 I was striking kitchen matches on a fence post at 50 yards with a 22 (attempting anyway) I only lit 3 out of several thousand attempts. Give it a try if you can, it teaches you a lot about shooting minute of angle and makes the shot I described highly possible.

  • Thanks for the tips, ill have to try that

  • 1800 fps with a 115 grain bullet from a 9mm? Where did you come up with that? Standard velocity with that bullet weight is around 1150, +P loads will break 1200, but 1800 is.......a n00b claim, you obviously don't have a clue as to the 9mm's ballistics.

  • Just stating facts, I call bullshit when I see it.

  • LOL rightttttttttt

  • I was a marine, and I qualified--many times--as an expert marksman with a 9mm. Your claim of being able to reliably hit a moving target at 300 meters (with open sites no less) sounds like bullshit to me.

  • Edit... with a handgun, that is.

  • Soldieroffortune guy is full of shit.

  • I agree 100%

  • hahaha hi points are the drug dealers choice of weapon because they are so cheap and kind of looks like a glock lol kind of

  • Hi Points aren't bad guns at all. They are every bit as accurate as a $500-600 Glock and do the same damn thing, throw bullets out the barrel. They're great $150 target pistols.

  • Oh c'mon, any FMJ round can go through a normal phone book.

  • Oh yeah and i forgot, it's not the High Point piece of crap that's shooting through the phone book, it's the BULLET, i'm just suprised it made it out of the gun without the barrel blowing up in your stupid face

  • If you don't like hi points don't buy one. other than that fuck off. Sure you get what you pay for, but if all you are doing is shooting targets why do you need a $500 gun. if you need a gun for home defense and you are using a pistol your a fucking retard.

  • I will say again, no other gun company i know of has such a shitty reputation, and such a sorry following of deluded dumbasses. if you like Hi Point you're a freaking tard

  • jadams31081....Hi-Points are a high-quality firea.....JESUS! I can't believe I almost said that! "Hey look, my POS Hi-Point can shoot through a phone book!"

  • OH MY GOD! THOSE BULLETS GO THROUGH PAPER!!!!! Jesus, Hi-Point's are MAGIC!!!!!! Help us Diamond Dave

  • HILARIOUS!

  • I shot my .22LR rimfire 40gr through yellow-pages and it went through 1900 pages, almost 2 full yellow-pages. 9mm has around 250ft/lbs energy compared to .22LR 140ft/lbs but it's thicker.

  • does 250ft/lbs mean that if i was shot from 250 ft away, it would have the same power as a 250pound man standing on the back of the bullet as the tip hit me? if that makes sense.. or is it something else ?

if it does, at say 500ft would it still be 250 lb, or down to 125 lb?

srry for questions, ive been reading about guns and was wondering how its worked out.

  • No.

It means the bullet leaving the muzzle of the gun has an energy equal to 250 times the energy needed to move a one pound load vertically a distance of one foot against the earth's gravity at sea level.

At 500 feet or 150 meters obviusly that energy is reduced to about 3/4 of the initial power in a medium power gun.

That ft(foot) is not the distance a bullet travels. If you want to know howmuch energy is left at a certain distance use the Ballistics calculators for your caliber.

  • thankyou for the explanation.

I was way wrong it seems! but hopefully someone enjoyed my big bloke balanced on a bullet analogy

  • its the amount of power it has to fuck shit up

  • looks like the bible on the chest won't work?

  • that's not a true sized phone book get a yellow book then get a real gun!!!!!

  • "Hi Point vs. Phone Book"

They did a test and the phone book actually won! They hit the phone book with a hammer and nothing happened to the phone book. Then they hit the Hi Point with the hammer and the gun broke.

  • RadarGuidedVermin , are you sure the Hi Point wasn't broken right out of the box?

  • The finish on the Hi Point is specially formulated to promote rust.

  • I tryed this a couple days ago with a 45acp target load 200gr swc it went completely thru the metro buss&yellow pages 3.5 +inches and an old truck mud flap I had set in front of it.The exit was huge.I did same with 22cal six shot mod6178in barrel 2 of six went thrue 4 were in book.

  • BOOM! headshot ;)

  • duh nuh nuh NUH NUH NUUUH!

    Snipers a good job mate...

  • A source for that legend? The carbine was misued on full auto quite a bit, with excited soldiers often missing, thinking they hit. There were no complaints against the carbine in WWII or Vietnam. Only at extended distances of Korean hillsides (where the .45 had no chance of even reaching). Missed shots. .45acp;at 815 FPS; would not even penetrate early Chinese quilted jackets. .30 carbine would. Have you ever carried 300 rounds of .45 ammo? A combat load. Campare to 600 rds. of 30 carbine.

  • there were always complaints about the carbine in both wars all the stories are anacdotal just like the army reports against the 45 the korean the chinese jackets that defeated the 45 were woven out of bambo fiber and were a form of lite weight armor dont underestimate the mind of anciant cultures. Some officers and persons who normally carried 45s obtained 357s in korea and found it to cut through the jackets like the hot knife through butter.

  • the wound ballistics surgean martin fackler has done the scientific research on wounds from handguns and rifles. He dismisses hydrostatic shock completely except for rifles and even then only if the bullet expands and or fragments.IF hydro shock and muzzle energy was such a great indicater of killing power the 243win should be equal or better than the 45-70 for buffalo ,bears, lionsand so on most consider the 243 pretty good for deer at moderate range. And the 45-70 for use on animals that bite.
