@gamerps3100 you can get an app (for PSP, install it anyway you would a demo, place in your game folder) called UMDdumper. You can then, directly from your PSP, rip your UMD's to an iso or cso. It will be placed where the other game demos are. Or, if you have the game you can legally download it. I recomend this because some people have REALLY compressed the game, making it smaller, but same content. Make an ISO folder in the root of your PSP for it to work. You need CFW. Message me for help

I HAVE A 2 WAYS TO FIX THIS

1 : OPEN UP THE ISO FILE AND DELETE THE UPDATE FOLDER AND THE BOOT FOLDER THEN IT IS 1.1 GB JUST AS AN ISO WERE AS A CSO ITS 850 SOMETHING

2: MAKE THE PSP CPU / RAM MAX

you have to uncompress the file, convert it back to an iso instead of cso :)

actually this happened to me with ALL GTA csos. The solution is just to open up the VSH menu from the main psp menu (Press select to open the menu). Set both d speeds (the top two) to 333. That should fix it.

i have a psp1000 which the processor cannot be overclocked to 333MHZ because the it doesnt even run that fast! something else you can do it buy a special hi-speed gaming card which can allow 40MBps instead of ~15MBps.

Use 333 mhz it works. Then compress it to level 8 or 7. It should not lag at this point. Keep lowering the compression level if it does.

Compressed to a CSO file

Overclocked game CPU speed to 333 MHZ

It will lag, but not a big amount of lag, very small.

Because just changing the file name doesn't decompress the file. Use "PSP ISO Compressor v1.4" to uncompress the CSO

I found that Sony memory sticks read slower than SanDisk on CSO and ISO files alike. So if you play ISO/CSO games, go with SanDisk. It's weird, I wasn't experiencing lag with my VCS CSO at first, but after a couple days it starting lagging like crazy hell. Don't think I can uncompress it, guess I'll just have to delete it and rip the ISO back off of my VCS UMD.... Sigh

That's not the point. The game lags because the PSP has to decompress and cache the data constantly because it is compressed.

the real problem here is the Memory Stick's speed to read & write, the PSP's UMD-rom

has fast reading ability than the conventional memory stick. I hope the 8gb & 12gb memory stick

is better than its predecessor's 225mb,512mb,1gb,2gb & 4gb

I only have a one gig, but I could use my dad's two gig. I kinda would want more than just this iso on my memory stick. . .

i had the same problem but i fixed it. its a .cso file so u can decompress it. after doing so, the file will become around 1.6-1.7gb, but it will not lag....
