^_^ Over here in the states the north easterners use Yous(its a very common term up there), down south we just say Y'all its as contagious as Howdy(a mighty useful word)!
@checomrie I didnt even notice the change! That is new. The old related videos were just the "Learn New Zealand English in 45 seconds" and stuff like that. Now they are Annie Lennox and Fleetwood Mac. Thats bizarre!
'Giz' and 'Youse'- We use this a lot is Glasgow too but usually in the following context 'Giz me a ginger you bastard!' and 'yous are all full of shite' Love it :)
@RobsEller I always wondered if anywhere else in the world used 'Giz'. Here in New Zealand we drop the 'me' and just mash it all together so that 'Giz' becomes short for 'Give me', which leads to phrases like:
@Tiwaking We would say 'Gizza swatch' for 'Give me a look at that!' I'm no a native Scot, but i've sure picked up a lot of the lingo! Maybe I should post up a video of my Danish boyfriend attempting a Scottish accent... Och!
@RobsEller Oddly enough: If you watch Masteroth1's video "Me and my cousins - party mix aka WEIRD UPDATE" you will see her cousin Jess-Jess, who has been living in Ireland, speaking with an Irish accent AND doing the 'stereotypical Danish accent'.
I must give the Danish accent a go. One of my favourite chess grand masters is icelandic/danish Henrik Danielsen and he speaks with the Danish accent.
@Masteroth1 LOL! :D I cant believe you managed to use 'Giz' in a sentence! 'Yous' is one of the biggest New Zealand English words and only belongs to New Zealand. Every person in the country uses it.
Chur, giz part two would ya?

@Tiwaking Hehe! That is too awesome!
I do love the Danish accent, never sick of hearing it! I love saying 'Kys mig Røv', even though I sound so 'special' when I try to say it! :)

Hi!! What the H is CHUR??????
For some reason the video won't load, so I'll have to wait to later or something to watch it..... Maybe I'll even do a video response. Giz time! LOL.
I'll favourite this vid and watch it some other day when the net behaves!
Masteroth1 1 year ago 8
@Masteroth1 Hehehe. "Chur" means "Thank you" or "Well done!". If you ever use the word "Chur" on a New Zealand person, they will be impressed.
I wonder how you say the last sentence in Danish? "Chur" = "Tak" eller "Gennemstegt".
