That used to be my faorite thing to do as a kid ride the Herman Park train, they once had little F units instead of the "steam". I hear the moved the Southern Pacific engine to minute maid park.
I don't know what they are going to do with the old ones, hopefully put them on auction or something instead of scrapping them. They new train is a MUCH better ride, but it just isn't the same. The station they have setup on the side right now is only temporary, they're going to tear down the old station and build a brand new one and several more around the park.
I miss the old trains I still live in Houston go there all the time
