@sirbestnameever Well, after reading reading your post about five times to make sure I had it correct because it's nearly illegible due to poor grammar I just wanted to inform you that first off, in the persons post you were commenting, the " " are there to emphasize the word, stating Lady Gaga used it excessively in her speech. Also, they are completely right. Just as I said in MY previous post. The military separates male and female living quarters and showers.
They do this to prevent uncomfortable tension between the two sexes just as a female would feel uncomfortable near a man who was showering in the same room as them, and staring at them. Is the military going to take this into consideration and dish out all the taxpayers dollars to accommodate doubling restrooms, showers, and living quarters for homosexuals? I myself as a soldier know that I would feel uncomfortable showering around others, knowing they were homosexuals.
I would feel just as uncomfortable if I were forced to shower in the same room as females, and they were staring at me. There really is no difference. This is a HUGE burden to many, and will probably end in the taxpayer spending TONS of money providing the necessary living conditions that are now required. DADT avoided all these problems, and repealing it was a horrible idea.
Also, just to add, don't ask, don't tell also avoids a multitude of issues that would arise if homosexuals were able to be openly homosexual in the military. Men are separated from women in showers, restrooms as well as living quarters in the military. They would be required to equally do the same for both homosexual men and women. Already living spaces are VERY tight and scarce. And being required to accommodate all this would just be crazy and would be VERY costly to the tax payer.

They do this to prevent uncomfortable tension between the two sexes just as a female would feel uncomfortable near a man who was showering in the same room as them, and staring at them. Is the military going to take this into consideration and dish out all the taxpayers dollars to accommodate doubling restrooms, showers, and living quarters for homosexuals? I myself as a soldier know that I would feel uncomfortable showering around others, knowing they were homosexuals.

I would feel just as uncomfortable if I were forced to shower in the same room as females, and they were staring at me. There really is no difference. This is a HUGE burden to many, and will probably end in the taxpayer spending TONS of money providing the necessary living conditions that are now required. DADT avoided all these problems, and repealing it was a horrible idea.

Also, just to add, don't ask, don't tell also avoids a multitude of issues that would arise if homosexuals were able to be openly homosexual in the military. Men are separated from women in showers, restrooms as well as living quarters in the military. They would be required to equally do the same for both homosexual men and women. Already living spaces are VERY tight and scarce. And being required to accommodate all this would just be crazy and would be VERY costly to the tax payer.
