whats de model you use , and how you settings the Crystalizer? I have the x-fi xtreme audio , but the Crystalizer not enhance o sound = this video X-(
cont... besides a sound card play audio from multiple source simultaneously, how to find out which source enhance and which to leave as is! this feature could be made useful as a audio remastering facility with creative wave studio or things like that where the full song could be analyzed and the effect could applied depending upon the audio's current frequency distribution...
Crystalizer had potentials, but creative exploited it just as a marketing hype... Originally it was said to restoring the lost audio due to MP3 compression... Theoretically it is very tough or next to impossible and practically implementing it in real time is extremely processing intensive as it requires a lot of extrapolating algorithms... Therefore creative avoided the harder path and came out with a cheap alternative to just make sound louder and harsher on the high end....
even with good headphones the crystalizer makes the musice so mutch better if ya do it to high then shure it sounds weird but around 50% its good nice bass and treble 3years ago i got hooked and im still using it on everything its awesome people that say author wise there are BS yah
I agree the crystalizer cuts the background sweet and soft sounds, and just focus on the vocals and lead melody.... I used to think this was cool but now I simply leave it off. Im listening to flac files now.
Trochę pomaga przy słabych plikach mp3 ale kolejną sztuczką jest w crystalizer że po jego włączeniu głośność zmienia się o 4db w górę gra głośniej i odnosimy wrażenie że gra lepiej.
It sounds much better without crystalizer! When people realize that music isnt about +10 to bass and +10 to treble? - Natural sound is something like Ayon tube amps you stupid audio kids :) But....i am audiophile so...sorry...you cannot undertand me...
Is their a way to record playback in crystalizer mode? I have this card but when I go to my audio settings record,I have it set to record what you hear as I am playing the song in crystalize mode..but when I playback,it didn't capture the crysatlizer.help!
@kboy3141 Can you elaborate on your comment please, because I had the Sound Blaster X fidelity USB, I got rid of it because of the snap crackle and pop. Now I have the HT Omega Claro +, it's in the to 3 best sound cards as of right now.
@kev42o97 u wont be listening to the original material the moment u enable this, sure it may sound nice, but this only usually works for under 320.. if u got good spekaers, just leave it off,
Amazing sound card! I was always quite happy with my on-board sound but after building my own rig I was advised to get a dedicated card. I was sceptical if I would notice much of a difference but I am a total convert now. My speakers are just cheap 2.1 jobs just now and I was shocked by the quality I was getting from them. I am saving for a good set just now but I have a set of Creative Fatality headphones that really sound in another league with the ExtremeMusic card. Great video well done.
Thank you very much really nice test it shows how amazing is this card. I am going to get x-fi xtreme music this month and I will pair it with creative inspire t7900.I have some questions, what speakers you are using with this card, and did you really get increase in frame rates in games.I also have read this chip off-load the cpu from audio processing.

I'm listening this with Crystalizer on :P

The crystalizer adds some brittle treble, harsh on the ears, that being said if I use it its usually very lightly to clean up muddy audio.

Although i love the xfi technology. too much crystalizer and expander spoils the song :(

crystalizer off is much better. too much treble, digital overload!! you want the music nice and warm
youthexplosion1210 1 year ago
@youthexplosion1210 too much bass in itself is anti hi-fi. anyone who thinks that there arent treble sounds in the world of hearing, is a moron.

@Ishimira1 Errr...Crystalizer isn't a recording mode. It modifies the sound during playback. Your question is dumb.
