ROS are reactive oxygen species not spices. Might confuse people unfamiliar with this term :)
Also, the damaged bases are flipped out by DNA glycosylases (it's not pre-flipped).
Finally, what about all the other factors that bind to XRCC1 (such as DNA glycosylases, Polymerase beta, PARP1/2, Ligase 3, etc)?

It is bizarre that almost all BER factors are depicted as DNA sliding clamps while PCNA, which is a DNA sliding clamp, is not.
