  • Don't mind my friend kenfo0, he's been trolling the internet for at least 3yrs. Google him or check his comment history before engaging him in discourse.

  • I'm not bashing, just informing. The correct titla should be "An American Tragedy". Saying "A American..." is incorrect english. You don't have to post this (its fine if u delete it), i just wanted to let you know since my friend & I noticed it. Thx

  • the bad dog owners should be banned not the good ones people are to easy to judge what they dont no

  • Yeah it's sad, people are so ignorant, it's like children, you neglect, starve, beat the shit out of your children and they have like a 90 percent chance of becoming criminals or harming others, the same goes for dogs, if all they know if hate and violence WTF are they supposed to do?

Rottweilerlvr, not sure if you noticed but your audio has been disabled due to copyright BS from YT and WMG, not sure if you know but you can use audioswap to use audio from YT that has no copyright.

  • learn how to spell baba86 brfore you comment

until the niggers kill your kids...that sounds right?

  • @ghostsheet Fuck you dude.

  • untill the eat your children

  • its so sad that people are thinking that rottweilers are dangerous, in fact they are very sweet to there owners if they are well fed properly trained....search about rotties the are not dangerous...

  • whats this song? x

  • The song is "if everyone cared" by Nickelback

  • thank you

    xxxx

  • This is a great video but it should be AN American not A american. And pit bulls are from england....

  • i agree about the 1st part, but PBT were first "created" and bred in america, so that's why people call them an american breed

  • @Kikkin They were created in Great Britain and Ireland.

  • the rottweiler is not america's dog,it is a german dog, meaning it has it's origen in germany

  • If these sons of bitches come to take my rottie, he is going to be the least of their problems. I've had three rotties in my lifetime and not one of them shown any aggresive behaviors. I have a five month old puppy right now and he is nothing but love. He even tried to save me from the vaccum cleaner.

  • daharen...look up these facts. the pitbull was the number 1 family dog in the usa in the 1920s. the pit was used in world war 1,2 and every war to the iraq war. they are police dogs, rescue dogs and still family dogs to this day. ohhh by the way..police do not ban dogs our politions do that.get your facts straight. until then just shut up!!

  • Once again, if your going to address me do it in a response, otherwise. Also my facts are perfectly straight, peer reviewed dog breeder scientific journals on the alleles of certain breeds of dogs. Also, I agree its politicians, personally I don't have a strong position either way, but to deny the facts is simply ignorant, the dog has a violent streak, and they would work well for police and military because of that.

  • Okay what i dont get is its okay to kill dogs because they bite or kill someone when humans do much worse to them and their own kind none the less why dont we just kill murder slaughter all the rapists, idiots, theives, ect all those why insteid put them in jail why not kill them? dogs can be rehabilitated so why do they deserve to die its not fair, when human kind does much worse.

  • the US should rather ban the kives because they are frequently used to kill people. leave the dog lovers and their friends alone. keep fighting, Americans!. Good luck! Greetings from the Polish guy and his best friend - rottie - Misiu

  • Around Christmas time a woman where i live bent down to give her beloved dog a kiss and her dog bit part of her lip off.. what kind of dog did she have?? A LAB! Any breed and size of animal can bite and cause damage.. not just the ones that have a bad rap. I have owned, loved, and cared for 7 Rotts in my years, and NOT ONE has ever tried to bite or even nip at anyone...

  • but i can tell you what they have done.. changed the minds of many people who were once scared of this breed.. (including some family members) So to say BAN them all is just ignorance!!

  • Let me make one thing clear... I don't really think police should have the right to 'Ban' any type of dog... I do think because they have alleles that make them more prone to violence than the typical dog, that officers have the right to use less discretion when a Pit Bull (Or Husky, or Malamute, or any other genetically dispositions dog), growls, barks, or moves towards them. Anyways, labs are a lot less prone to violence (Though there are cases), its fact not opinion.

  • so daharen you would agree that some people are more prone to be violent? lets say black people...should we ban them? did you know that the pit bull was the number 1 family dog in the 1920s? did you know that the pit was used in world war 1,2, and to this day as rescue dogs? hey, i can live without stupid people and learn to live without them...that means YOU! get your facts straight before making stupid comments.

  • Respond to my comments if you wish me to respond more promptly, it notifies me. Anyways, I would like to point out that alleles have been discovered and altered in dogs that are normally friendly to make them more prone to violence. These same alleles are found naturally in Wolves, Huskies, Malamutes, and of course Pitt Bulls are on the list with a few others as well... The point is there is a wild streak in the dog that can't be trained out, a lab is a much safer pet.

  • Sorry I can't understand logic? Nice try, but you're only half right-you are sorry. I can't control where YouTube places my post (and yes, I know how to reply to a specific post, which is exactly what I did), but thanks for being the post police. I read up on these kinds of dogs before I ever got a Rottweiler, and the vast majority of that crap is BS. It's all perception, which is easy to manipulate to naive individuals who think as you do.

  • Well I was going to try and post some studies from peer reviewed journals on here, w/ URLs but it wont let me. So I'll just post the article and if you want you can look it up on Google Scholar.

    Review article

    Genetics of Canine Behavior

    K.A. HOUPT

Anyways, it has all the studies and information you'll need to develop your own opinion. Otherwise I dare you to find any peer reviewed journal that claims Rots are not dispositioned to violence.

BTW he addressed me w/ out replying to me...

  • I haven't had to provide a writing w/ any peer reviewed journals since college, and I certainly don't have an urgent need to use them to prove anything to you. But, we're all very impressed with your ability to Google. I did all the reading I needed to do on this before I ever got a Rottweiler. I don't care about your peer reviewed journals, becuase I've SEEN how they behave, I've talked to an expert who's trained & raised them, so I think I'll take his expertise over your opinion.

  • I couldn't find a single scientific article that supported the opinion that Rottweilers have no tendency towards violence, and are as harmless or more harmless than a breed like a lab inherently, hence the reason I challenged you over the subject. You can't take expertise over someone else, when that someone displays more evidence, and offers a reasonable method of disproof which you fail to attempt, you can make all the invalid comments you want, it doesn't make you right.

  • Actually, I can take expertise over anyone if I choose to, especially when I know of the expert's credentials. The problem is that YOU don't have to LIKE it, but I don't really care if you do or not. My comments aren't invalid just because you don't like them. Don't tell me what expertise I "can't" take. Your whole "learn to live without them" argument is ridiculous and lazy, and flies in the face of the whole premise of our way of life in America.

  • Keep reverting the discussion back to genetics all you want, when I researched the breed I found tons of statistics that fly in the face of Rottweilers being an unconditionally violent & dangerous breed. I would never have gotten one otherwise. Just like someone has stated, based on your argument of people just having to get used to not having their Rottweilers, then every dog owner should have to give up their dogs, because they're all unpredictable when it comes right down to it.

  • I don't believe guns should be in the hands of some humans either, but how many lives are lost daily because of them! There is more likelyhood of a child being killed by it's own parents than by a dog. Humans kill other humans daily in many equally horrible ways so let's do the world a favor and wipe out the most needlessly aggressive animal on the planet.... US!

  • I don't need to GOOGLE about how prone to violence Rottweilers are. Responsible Rottweiler owners educate themselves, as i have. I now have had the privledge to love and care for 8 Rotts in my time and NOT ONE has ever shown any aggression toward ANYONE! I wouldn't go out and drive an 18 wheeler without having the proper training so why people go out and buy a dog that they have no understanding of is truely why BSL is in the world today!

  • Ok, I can admire your logic. Mine isn't falty though, all this means is that my logic is insignificant compared to the problems we ourselves cause. However, if we're going to use the "more important issues trump this issue logic", then we should as a global community drop every other controversy in the world and start worrying about global climate change... Of course that's not very realistic, so I'd rather just point out there are flaws in all the logic and there are solutions...

  • I agree that any dog can be raised to be good, but some dogs are just much more prone to be violent, which is why many gangs use pits and rots as pets, to attack people. I'm sorry but if the police feel it necessary to Ban them people can learn to live without them. I think most people would agree wolves are tame-able (If you didn't know they are, now you do), but that doesn't mean people should have them as pets. Get a Lab.

  • I could learn to live without my car if I had to, and vehicles kill people every day. So, using your argument, maybe we should just ban automobiles, right? No, because it's a person who's responsible for making sure the vehicle is under control.

Obviously a car doesn't have a mind of its own like a dog, but dogs' behavior is a reflection of their training, and BSL is just ignorant and lazy. I think you need to rethink your logic. It's clearly flawed.

  • I'm sorry you misunderstand the basic meaning of logic... Cars don't think, dogs do. I could show you alleles that make wolves prone to violence, and show you the exact same alleles in Huskies, Rots, and Malamutes, however these same alleles are not present in some of the more well known tamed dogs, like Labs. Its not that any animal can't be trained to be good, its that some have a natural tendency to be violent, and a wild streak that can't be tamed out of them.

  • By the way, your "people can learn to live without them" argument IS flawed, because of the basis on which you're trying to make it. I shouldn't have to give up my well-trained Rottweiler because my neighbor lets his attack someone, anymore than I should have to give up my car because he can't drive. You conveniently ignored that part of my other post acknowledging the difference in the scenarios, but they're still a reflection of their training, just like cars are controlled by their drivers.

  • I ignore that part because a person poorly driving a car is equivalent to a person poorly training their dog. However, a person driving their car well, and a person training their dog well should by your argument be equivalent, but they're not because the dog even if well trained can still attack people, and there are plenty of cases in which well trained dogs do get violent, the car on the other hand if driven properly cannot do anything but what it's supposed to, your argument is still flawed.

  • Again, I've already acknowledged the difference in the scenarios, and THAT's what you ignored. I rebutted your argument before you ever made it, yet you continue to TRY to make it. The simple fact is, your "people can learn to live without them" is an absolutely ridiculous argument, if it can even be called that. That's way too lazy a position to have as a resolution to this problem, and it would ultimately go over about as well as people learning to live w/o alcohol during prohibition.

  • @Daharen Any dog can develop aggression regardless of the breed. Any medium to large dog could be potentially dangerous.

  • @neurocytohemotoxic You've had to have ignored a lot of posts in order to have posted this and thought you were adding anything meaningful to this conversation. I know all breeds of dogs have the potential to be violent, and thus all medium to large breeds have the potential to be dangerous. My point was that there is a genetic pre-disposition among pit bulls. I'm not saying they should be banned or made illegal, I have no personal grudge against them, I'm merely stating a scientific fact.

  • @Daharen Ok dude. But do you have evidence to back up these claims? You do realize that dog bite statistics and news reports (the ones about dog attacks) are inaccurate right? Keep in mind that APBT's are typically dog agressive not man agressive and that most people are not experts and dog breeds and wouldn't be able to identify a pure bred APBT. There are also a lot of mix bred dogs that are mistaken for the APBT and some pure breds look similar to them (like Scott type American bulldogs).

  • @neurocytohemotoxic

I don't mind having a reasonably intelligent discussion, however, I've taken the time to read the 12 posts you've put on this video, most of which added very little to the discussion, and I know you haven't read my comments concerning this topic simply because you've asked for citation and evidence when I've already given it. I will provide further citation and evidence when you refute what's already been provided.

  • I have a pit and 120lb rottie.I dont know how i live without my dogs.If my city or state banned pits and rott's ill have to move or ill my put in jail for hitting someone for trying to take my beloved family members.THEY ARE MY KIDS!!.

  • I have the great honor of having a rottie as my pet. He's 10 now and sweeter than a baby. He is treated with love and respect, and never put a finger on us. Fortunately there's not such a thing as SBL in S.America. That's just another "word" for ignorance!

  • I have the great honor of having a rottie as my pet. He's 10 now and sweeter than a baby. He is treated with love and respect, and never put a finger on us. Fortunately there's not such a thing as SBL in S.America. That's just another "word" for ignorance!

  • you should do your best to fight the bsl in the states. Because they have been banned in the UK for a while now. Its a real shame...

  • great vid by the way.. had to look the other way when the hurt dogs came by.. i just cant stand such horrible sights.. If I get across some maniac that does that stuff to dogs I'd kick the hell out of him.. and i'm deadserious.. it just makes ME feel bad cause there are HUMANS that are able to do that.. yyou must have NO HEART AT ALL.

  • Your totally right.. My Rottweiler was so sweet. She never put op a fight against other dogs and certainly, CERTAINLY not against people.. she was the worst guarddog ever ..LOL

Luckily we didn't want her to be like that..:)

Love her to death, as sweet as can be, no sign of aggressiveness. Haven't known a sweeter dog. I cant stand people that get rotties or pitbulls to look tough .. its really pathetic. If you cant be a responsible dog owner then DONT BE ONE!. it's Education, Respect and love.

  • I'm a Rotti owner and mine wouldn't hurt a fly.. wanna know why? Because I am a good pet owner, I treat my dogs well, I give them the LOVE and RESPECT that they deserve, I have knowledge of the breed and I socialize my dogs.

  • It's very sad that people mis-judge the Rottweiler and believe that a couple of incidents means that the whole breed is dangerous, when in fact, it was probably the daft owners in the first place trying to bring up an extra macho dog which just isn't necessary.

Yes, they are very strong and powerful, but that's because they were bred for herding, pulling and guarding - NOT fighting; and as far as temperament goes they are very docile, loving, caring and attentive.

  • @RottiLuvr5 There of plenty of ex fighting dogs that are people friendly. Fighting dogs are trained to attack other dogs not people.

  • first of all Katana..you are wrong! look up the facts before you sound like a idiot! pitbulls are not bred to fight and never was..they were used in world war 2 and to this day still they are rescue dogs. they were the number 1 family dog in the 1920s. do your homework and stop posting bogus crap. do some research before you make bogus statements!

  • @ghostsheet Pitbulls were developed specifically for blood sports. That is a fact. Maybe u should read about the history of the breed. And pitbulls are still being bred for fighting. That does not make them bad dogs. However, u need to face the facts.

  • All the same I dont condone banning them. I certainly am for absolutely harsher penalties against those who fight them, abuse them and neglect them. Slam idiots in like that in jail for a very very very long time. I would rather require owners of these breeds held to higher standards such as required training and aggression testing. Banning them is rediculous.

  • The simple fact is that Rottweilers attack more people every year than any other breed and pitts are close behind. It doesnt mean that EVERY Rotty is going to attack although my son was attacked by one.

The simple fact is that dogs like Pitts were bred to fight and be aggressive. My Border Collies have never seen a sheep but they herd everything. They werent trained to do it its genetic. So the likelyhood of a Pitt or Rotty being aggressive is high.

  • Rotties and pitts were used as rescue dogs and rotties were first used as b/collies r today to herd sheep!

  • @Katana936 Pitbulls tend to be dog aggressive. Not man aggressive. Aggression has nothing to do with genetics. Toy dogs tend to be aggressive and they were NEVER used for fighting.

  • I say NO to BSL...your right....bsl is shit...

You know you are the one who made me to buy a rottweiler...thank you very much...

I love rottweilers they are the best and pit bulls...love them 2

    thank you very much

  • ive got a rottweiler puppy...

    basically i need some help...

i want to make the best of him!

i do not want him to bite one day and i also want him to listen to me!

What injections does a puppy get in his first weeks.

  • I for one am in on stopping BSL and people abusing animals just because some other neglectful owners dog.

  • It doesnt matter which breed of dog it is. Stupid asses will just keep fighting whichever breed is NOT banned. Which is why i say NO to bsl. No dog should ever be raised to hate and fight. Animal Cruelty and the owners should be stabbed and dragged on a gravel road by a truck..pisses me off.

  • so sea..and huxsoil..whatever you call yourselfs..i call you the idiots of youtube and thank god you post your comments. its the reason we know how stupid you are..thank you!

  • ive had experience with both pits and rottweilers and they are great dog. im actually in the process of getting a rotti and my sisters bf has a pitbull and that dog is the most loving dog. its all about how they are treated and brought up. I cant see this kind of law passing if it did that would be animal cruelty

  • I agree that owners need to be held responsible for the training and care of their animals, as for the ban on rotties and pits..well I dont agree with it and I had a city fine me 500 dollars because my rottie barked at the neighbor when he was throwing beer bottles at him and they labled my dog a vicous animal for barking..what a load of crap!

  • The biggest problem in America is that animal abuse goes unreported. Even when reported, abusers get a mere slap on the wrist and a fine, and are then released back into society. In my eyes, if you have it in you to murder an animal, you have it in you to kill a human. The same punishments should be given, whether it be man, canine, feline...if you burn a human to death, you'll be in jail for life...so why should it be any different if you burn a dog to death? Humans are selfish assholes!

  • Some doglovers are mentally disturbed!

  • Man you`re screwed..Get rid of your animals and go see other people for a change!

  • If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you; that is the principal difference between a dog and a man.

    -Mark Twain

  • If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went.

    -Will Rogers

  • A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves

    himself.

  • There are much more bad deeds done by humans (including that "bad" dogs), than animals alone. Why dont they ban humans? Presidents and (m)other f...ers orders to kill hundreds of thousands of people "for bringing democracy for them" (maybe in heavens). Why dont they ban that first?

  • Where did you get the picture that shows at 1:24?

  • great video, they are such wonderful dogs and love people when they are treated right. and even after they are abused they can completely still be true. both breed are truely the best in the world please we need more people educated on what these breeds are and who much they enjoy love and attention.

  • One of the best anti bsl clips I've yet seen. Rotts and pits are such wonderfull breeds ... dogs are realy what you make out of them. I got a rotty boy and he means the world to me and vice versa. There's so much good in him ...

It's people who should be educated. To all you responsible owners go out there with your dogs and show people how great they are!

  • i love both breeds so much

  • theres a pit bull and a rottweiler at our shelter i want to adpot them so bad im trying to get the money so maybe i can

  • how can i help you.

  • Go to Dogwatch dot com to see what you can do in your state or province to promote education of fair treatment to dog breeds.

  • Also, next to child abuse, dogfighting/animal abuse infuriates me the most. I would sooner put someone in jail for 20 yrs over these than for many other crimes.

  • BSL is not about ignorance. Large, aggressive breeds are dangerous IF NOT CARED FOR PROPERLY. The issue is that irresponsible people are not punished BEFORE their dog maims or kills someone. Police or animal control must respond to calls about animals not being properly cared for, are abused, or are involved in dogfighting, and the court must severely discipline these anti-social people.

  • @kenfo0 First of all, there's no such thing as an aggressive breed. Second of all, pitbulls are not a large breed. Pitbulls weigh between 30 and 60 pounds.

  • @neurocytohemotoxic you are an idiot. pitbulls were bred for aggressiveness. proper training and handling keeps it's expression appropriate. A sixty pound dog is big. I had a Rottweiler who stood about the same height as my mixed breed strays, but weighed 40 lbs more. No one says "hey, look at your small dogs.". Don't deign to "educate" me. Go get an education in genetics, kid. You will find aggressiveness is a selectable trait.

  • @kenfo0 Any dog can develop aggression regardless of its breed. If u weren't a retard u would know that. Toy breeds tend to be aggressive but they were never used for fighting. My cousin owns a pitbull that has a submits to other dogs. Have u ever seen photos of game bred pitbulls? They tend to be small. Don't talk shit if u can't back it up dumbass. I have have done extensive research on this breed so I'm not the kind of "kid" u want to argue with.

  • @neurocytohemotoxic you are a kid, and a dumbass. pitbulls were bred for aggression. all you did in your whiny missive is affirm what I said: training and environment can help subdue aggressive tendencies. I know a guy who got shot in the head and lived. were I a dumbass like you, I'd say "see, being shot in the head is no big deal". You are stupid. Now shut up. Go annoy someone who is interested in your stupidity and faked "intelligence".

  • @kenfo0 Some pitbulls are bred for dog aggression. Those that come from reputable breeders are not. Learn to stay on topic. We're talking about pitbulls not ur stupid friends getting shot in the head. I suspect u may have been shot in the head as well. Some parts of ur brain are clearly not functioning properly Contrary to what u may believe u do not know everything. And u don't know shit about pitbulls. How's about u read about the breed and stop trying to start shit.

  • @kenfo0 Which countries were pitbulls developed in? In what century was the pitbull created? What are some of the pitbulls parent breeds? If u can't answer these questions correctly or refuse to answer them u will make it obvious that u don't know anything about the breed.

  • people that neglect or abuse animals should be executed on the spot! look into the eyes of those pictures,MY GOD,HOW COULD ANYONE DO THAT?!

  • I am in the UK but I can't imagine in the united states that the well trained rottweilers and pitbulls are being seized by the relevant agencies because they are dangerous dogs ? Looks like the owners who starve or are cruel to their dogs are not gone after by those same agencies because it's too much hard work. I am sure a properly trained rottweiler or pitbull is no more dangerous than any other breed of dogs.

  • its horrible what is actually occuring

  • i live in cleveland, ohio, and had no idea of this BSL till yesterday when i learned of youtube. so i login wanting to see other rottweilers and, learn of the BSL. i cant explain anger i feel. i vow to make flyers and, stop and pass these out to every pet owner i see so all pet owners are aware of the theaf in the night, aka {BSL}.

  • it is our duty as pet owners to teach and protect our true best freinds, great and small. i wish i knew how to open a website. pray anyone that reads this will have the know how. any takers?

  • amen

  • i think you and all the other people that have posted videos and comments are setting the foundation. now we need to some how band together and start a website where we and others can post our names and contact info. so we can get enough people from all states to vote on and get a new law past and make animal cruelty and neglect a felony in all states and once busted the offender cant own a pet again on top of imprisonment.

  • Beware of BSL ? hell! they better beware of this owner if they ever come wanting my rottweiler. what they should do is make animal cruelty and neglect a felony in all states and once busted the offender cant own a pet again on top of imprisonment. i think this would stop most of the madness.

  • my dad's friend has FIVE rottweilers!!

ever single one is so kind and doesnt have a mwan bone in its' body!

    theyre all males too

they only knock you over becuaase theyre huge and dont know their own strength!

it totally depends on the owner, not the breedthats just how ignorant people are these days...:(

    great video

  • It's tragic how sometimes I forget that in this world there are good people too...

  • I have five sons at home and I've owned three dogs since becoming a father, two pitbulls (Sasha and Brooklyn) and one chihuahua (King). I can honestly say that King was ten times more aggressive than Sasha and Brooklyn put together. I gave him to my aunt in Pennsylvania who owns a small farm. Sasha passed away three years ago. She lived a happy and healthy 13 years. Brooklyn is now 6 months old. She is the princess of the house.

  • [sasha] is a beautiful name,it means protector of man. and by god we will protect them! oorahh!

  • Okay, that was so sad and cute at the same time. Until we got Tank{rottie} we didn't know they were "bad dogs". He is our 4th one, and the only thing yoou should have fear of is drowning in drool!! Unless you hurt a child, they were never aggressive. they have all LOVED children, to the extreme.

  • i cryed there in the middle of this video bc ill be darned if someone tells me i have to get rid of my big babbies...ill go to jail first!

  • i love pit bulls more than anything.

im getting one wen my sister breeds hers.

  • Please don't breed or support byb... adopt instead. There are so many GREAT animals sitting in shelters and rescues right now waiting for loving homes. :-)

  • do it like swedes?...every dog has some kind of purpose, i belive...use it!

  • I own 4 Rotti's & they are BIG babies. We don't have any children yet, so our dogs are our kids. If more owners would give their dogs the TLC they need, then i dont think there would be so many "attacks". Mine have never even once nipped at anyone, let alone tried to attack. Maybe its not the dogs that need to be banned but the owners.. you can't leave a dog tied up in the back yard and never show it any love and expect it to be a "loving" dog. Wonderful Video!!

  • BSL needs to come spend time with my big babies and they will see the difference it makes when you make ur dogs a huge part of your family!! It will be a cold day in hell before i give up my babies!!!

  • Sure lets kill all rotts and pits, I mean cuz if one white person kills people then they all do? Why do we as a society generalize, label, and tarnish everything? make is "legal" to kill or maim,? i hate society and humanity...or lack there of

  • it is the easy way out. These dogs are bred to be dominant and aggressive. it is not the case where merely intelligent breeding and nurturing care will produce a friendly pitbull. And I am sure many toy breeds have higher bite rates, but are you telling me a Chihuahua or a Pekingese poses any threat to an adult? It can be easily crushed underfoot. Dogs like these need to be muzzled and leashed 24/7 when not inside a fenced in yard.

  • How horrible to see these precious dogs abused by sick evil sub-humans. But how wonderful to see the many good owners who care and love them so much. It is not the breed that makes an aggressive dog, it's the environment they are raised in.

  • thanks rottweilertvr...im going to go out and buy it.

  • who is singing this song?

  • Nickelback-- Of their new CD that just came out...

  • I'm a responsible Rott owner. To those that get rotts and know nothing about them... I don't drive an 18 wheeler because I don't know how. Don't own a dog you don't know how to train and socialize. Don't ruin our breed.

  • AMEN. could not have said it any better. thank you mytragen for the words.

  • Oh My gosh! I just lost the love of my life "Panzer" the best Rotty to every live. He was almost 12. My husband's dog is a Pitt named Rosey that is the other light of our lives. If there are not Rotts and Pitts in heaven, I'm not going. Thank you so much for your efforts to educate people about the importance of responsibility toward these dogs. We all need to make our voices heard.

  • What a wonderful video. I have 2 loving rotties. Halfway through your video I paused it, hugged my 2, gave them a treat.

  • In Deutschland ist das leider auch so, unser Lumpenpack von Regierung kriminalisiert Hundehalter!

  • most powerful video i think i have ever seen, honestly cried for hours, beautiful music beautiful dogs, why are people so cruel? owned rotties for 20 years, best dogs in the world. thnks for sharin this x

  • that was so sad

  • I love that you showed the responsible owners and I'm deeply saddened by the cruelty of my own species...what kind of monster could do that?

  • AWESOME video. I have a Rottweiler puppy. She is so smart and knows basic commands already. Punish irresponsible owners not responsible owners.

  • THAT WAS WONDERFUL VERY SAD BUT TRUE

  • Great video. I love my pit/lab mix that I saved from going to a shelter and possibly getting adopted by a cruel individual. He is treated with love and respect and he gives the same back. Punish the bad owners - not the dogs.

  • IRRESPONSIBLE, CRUEL and SICK Dog Owners like this one(no spaces): h t t p://w w w. youtube. com/watch?v=-GptnHu8gV8&NR

  • Very nice video its just so sad what kind of sick people in this world would make there dogs so mean!My Rotti is the nicest dog I have ever have and I grew up around Boston Terriers I was bit so many times by them and not yet have been bitten by my baby Dozer and he is gonna be three!I wish BSL would end!

  • Thank you again for all your efforts in the battle against BSL.

I'd like to say that WE are responsible for HOW we educate and bring up our young.

My rottie gal is the most LOVING pooch (and so is our boy, a mix Choc/Lab). Both pooches are adorable and affectionate. I give our gal a kiss & she'll lick my face tenfold! (with a lil slobber here and there :) ) and I become a mushy mom! Gawd I love them! All animals should be treated the same way we'd want to be treated!

  • the best dogs ever!! just sad...so sad ;-(

  • como se llama la cancion

  • el nombre de la canción es "if everyone cared" - nickelback.

  • Awesome video...

  • It's a very nice video. I hope the owner of the dogs will know that they have from this dogs.

  • Goood video. education for stupid owners.

  • So nice video!! here in norway pitbulls and Amstaff is forbidden...hope they don't forbidd rottweilers to..

  • One these dog-Nazis start banning breeds, they keep going. You have to stop them right at first by educating the stupid voters, who usually do whatever the people on TV tell them to.

  • EXCELLENT video!! I love my rottie very much she is one big lovable bear and has single handedly changed so many peoplds opinions of what rottweilers are all about.

  • We had a huge 95-lb Pit with natural ears & tail. Ten minutes after people met him they'd say, "What a sweetheart, what kind of dog is he?" After hearing Pit Bull, they'd nearly crap their pants, but eventually leave with a whole different idea than the asshole TV news people gave them. He loved kittens, puppies, chickens, kids ... R.I.P., Bar -- our baby for 14 years.

  • Beautiful and well detailed video very informative. I loved it, BSL is so sad and should be stopped, very good 5 stars from me. Thank you :)

  • Great video...I sent the link to my neighbor...she's a rotti lover and I'm a pit lover. Her dogs are such mush balls; I love squishing Jasper's nose and getting kisses from them. I hope people will finally realize that BSL DOESN'T WORK!!!

  • makes me sad living in this world.y punish the dog.that is so wrong.rotties are amazing dogs.i dont c y cdollies arnt questioned as one attacked my rottie.

  • Very good video, im happy that people like you post videos like this, the bad owners take advantage to use this dogs to be bads because the people hate them. Let me tell that this breed y the best, its loyal, its beautiful, worker, etc. Do not exist bad dogs or breeds, exist bad owners... and ignorat peoples.

  • so sad and i believe in helping forever those animals. thanks for your vid

  • It has always been easier to go after the law abiding citizen than the criminal. We play by society's laws, the criminals live outside of the laws.

Let's go after them instead of the good people and their dogs.

  • Quite right. The parallels with gun laws are striking, for the same reason: local governments that overreact to mollify an ignorant public, usually cranked up by an equally ignorant media.

MD passed one law based on a Rott "attack" that was mostly B.S. -- mom was beating the kid, the female Rott went after the woman, who shielded w/ the kid, who got bit. Cops all knew the deal, but the Washington Post cooked the story to fit their "mean dog" agenda.

  • I know that MD Rott "attack." The Rottie bitch had a litter of puppies & had played with the little girl every day for years, so when the mother smacked the kid & made her scream, the Rottie climbed a 6' fence to save the kid. And her worthless, trash mother used her kid as a shield. Should have been arrested. Cops knew everything, but the Washington Post faked a "better" story.

  • @pilot101st I'm from the DC area and I never heard about that. That's crazy. Dogs always try to defend kids if the parents are abusing or yelling at them. My dog always freaks out when my mom yells at me or my sister.

  • Nice video!

  • Good video its very emotional

  • A dog is for life, to share love and cherish , animals are taught to be nasty , there are many responsible loving caring owners out there , Ban irresponsible cruel owners inprison them who teach animals to kill and attack not, the great dog lovers

  • I love this video. :)

  • BTW, nice video! (thumbs up)

  • The dog who walks off-leash with his owner everyday is far less likely to bite then the dog who spends most of his day chained up in his yard. I saw an interesting website once, though I didn't have time to really look through it. It was parents and people who had loved ones that where victims of dog attacks. Instead of calling for BSL or leash laws they had some good ideas. They call themselves mothers agaisnt chained dogs.

  • A dog chained for more than an occasional couple of hours has an owner who needs the shit beat out of him. It makes most dogs unstable or crazy. The only Bassett I ever saw who was vicious (I'd have thought it impossible) was on a 16' chain full time & acted like Cujo.

Most dog-attack stories in the media are mostly crap, even police reports.

  • Beautifull video and I agree on every single point exept for the leash laws. Leash laws do not decrease or prevent attacks because the overwhelming majority of attacks happen within the househould, on the property or directly in front of the property of the dog. Leash laws prevent dogs from being able to properly socialize and in turn, actually cause more dog bites. I encourage city officials to provide more off-leash dog parks and educate children how to properly aproach and behave with a dog.

  • I agree with part of what you're saying. Education for children is key. But give me a good leash law, too. Frankly, so many people think the leash law doesn't apply to them that it forces us to walk at night when most dogs are put up. We have our doggie friends, but my dog needs her 3 feet of personal space, too. Leash laws are a basic necessity in a crowded world.

  • Although I have a visceral dislike for most dog laws since they give the government power it always abuses, some are necessary, like vaccinations and, in most areas, leashes. Unfortunately, very few owners have enough verbal control over their dog for its own or others' safety. Educating kids & adults is great, but most are too stupid or too lazy for that ever to be a major improvement.
