you know guys youtube sucks... so check this amazing cut chemist video out in vimeo (dot) com and add a /1478602 to the link... its on HD so... vimeo rocks
In that case these people would never have brought the record anyway. That's the same argument as saying 'Why bother buying music when I can listen to the radio?'
@smackmiranda Yeah except that most people want to buy the music anyway. most radio always plays crappy top 40 garbage and always has. Yet for generations people still buy the albums. And by sharing music in this way, lots of people are exposed to artists they would have never even encountered otherwise. Sales go UP.
@OneLazyNinja I'm totally with you on this one. Another prime promotional opportunity missed. If you can't hear about music you like on the radio or on the internet, how the hell are you ever going to find it? Why don't Warner Brothers just bury the song in a ditch?
@shayneeeeeee You see the video, you hear the song, you think 'Oh, that's good, I'm going to buy this'. That's always been my experience of buying music, I don't know about yours.
@shayneeeeeee why not? Take touch and go. I might never have heard of them if i hadn't found them on youtube. Sharing music like this exposes way more people to the music. So people who would have never even heard of cut chemist or touch and go or whoever have been exposed to them because they were shared by friends or youtubers or whatever. It's invaluable publicity.
@OneLazyNinja yeah but poeple who share the music on P2P, is considered illegal, why big music corporation need money, it's the only thing that they think,
well fortunately I have the album so I managed to do a lame version of it by syncing it up myself. I don't think I got it perfect but it worked mostly.
what is the point of makeing a music video and then not letting people actually hear it. What are they going to do with it, post it on MTV? If they took it down because they want people to go to their version that would be fine but I can't find a single video of it, it doesn't make sense.
i wish people would announce the music which they are forced to substitute in. this has happened a few times and i've always been interested in the substitute.
P.S. NIN started to put on a contest for fan-submitted music videos for tracks off Ghosts I-IV. The contest was never finished, no winners announced, but there's actually a youtube channel full of submissions. Maybe this was made with the contest in mind...?
Ghosts is a 4 CD set, all instrumental music. But not all the songs are like this, nor are they all this long. But if you like this, you should definitely check out the rest!!!
I think they should delete videos they take the music from... its really a downer
