everyt ime i watch this i get chills. is this available on cd somewhere? the sound of the keys, guitars and brendon's voice are just something that words can not explain. it is other-wordly; it is a song that really makes me question my mortality and my purpose.
I saw Dead Can Dance Oct. 5th Wednesday 2005 at Bostons Orpheum theatre. I will never forget that concert. Thanks Brendan and Lisa. Cant wait to see you again someday...mabye in 2012.
Sorry nothing. Don't be a hater. Liz Fraser does it best. He is good but his vocals just doesn't get it justice. The lyrics are beautiful. Liz's lilting vocals, you can't compare.
Nice, but Sorry...NO ONE could ever sing this song better or come close to the Lady, Elizabeth Fraser...Long Live Cocteau Twins...I hope one day soon, I will get to see them play together again...
First heard this at 3am when got home after a night on the piss, great time to hear it .Brilliant version. Best since This Mortal Coil no doubt about it.
I always feel DCD music with all my cells... and the most extraordinary thing that could happen to me is Brendan singing this beautiful, touching song...
Wow. Brendan Perry's looks have certainly changed. I still see him as he was during the Toward the Within shows. I could be standing right next to him now and would never have had any idea who it was... Brilliant as he's always been here.

Brendan Perry is one of those rare singer's where his voice gets better as he gets older

Check out Tim Buckley's Monkees tv show version..I believe it is the prototype for Elizabeth's treatment of the song and most subsequent versions....

On a par with TMC and Laurie Freelove as the best covers of this haunting tune.

Really great cover. Does anyone know where I can find an mp3 of this?

Ethereal and haunting. This may be one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard.

Should probably be clarified that it's Robin Guthrie playing the faceless guitar.
