  • Rrrright. War started in 41. As if Ribbentrop- Molotov pact (warm handshake with same "German fascist invaders" and stabbing Poland in the back on 17th of September 39th never happened....

  • @RKGalery As well as dividing of Czechoslovakia by Poland, Germany and Hungary, right?

  • @00Indil00 Absolutely. Even thou there was no armed combat or mass murders of prisoners later on, it was one of most shamefull events in polish history. Difference is- we do not try to deny it. And if we want to be historically correct- it happened before war started. Of course it changes nothing from moral point of view- its stil despicable thing.

  • If you get the chance SEE THIS MOVIE! It is the best movie i have ever seen. But i dont think i will ever see it again, it is to hard to see more than once.

  • this movie was AWESOME! I loved every second of it. Russia, make more movies like this!

  • I really wanna see this

  • Russians and Germans killing each other. What else is better in life?

  • Fuking german.

  • And there was an inscription on the wall "I'm dying, but do not give up, Goodbye Motherland"

  • Russians bring it up!!! I saw 9th company a week ago, and now I saw this, and they are awsome! Geep it on russia! :D

  • is it in english?

  • @thomasfisher24

    The language is in Russian.

  • Movie was epic, i got so into it i could of sworn they were speaking in my language lol.

  • Young boy alive.

  • good movie.nice upload

  • whats the name of the song they played when the soviet soldiers saved the civilians on the bridge?

  • the movie is called the fortress of war

  • @bludgerable Its called brest fortress idiot.

  • @FluffylittleAnimals no, my version says the fortress of war, seriously, go on imdb, search brest fortress, the closest reference should be the fortress of war

  • @FluffylittleAnimals

Chilled. Both name is correct. "The brest fortress" is direct translation from Russian title while" The fortress of war" is in English title for western.

  • @bludgerable no its Brest Fortress or Brestkaya Krepost which pops up at 2:02 maybe in other countries they opted to release it as fortress of war. That tends to happen.

  • At 1st, I thought it was Breast Fortress, then I realized it's actually Brest Fortress, without the 'A' in Brest.

Watched it, loved it ever since.

I'm still looking for the "On the Hill" music, thou. The one that little Akimov play at the beginning part of the movie.

  • That was just a fantastic war movie with lots of good action and a nice story. A lot better than most of the american hollywood bullshit. I´ve seen it with subtitles which makes it kinda more realistic. I would have had problems seein it in my language cuz everyone in the movie would speak one language ....german^^

I really hated that in american movies, the americans speak german and the germans speak some kind of shitty accent. As stated below, this is a must-see.

  • best war film!

  • Awesome film! !

  • Yep, russians know to make movies.

  • what the song

  • Every World war 2 American and British Movie are lies

  • @Neizvestnyu This is a good film, but it's full of artistic licence too.

  • Stalin help Russia To make them a superpower

  • @Neizvestnyu and how kill them all?starve them?be best friends with hittler?

  • i admire the Russian resistance , but their leaders brought them death , the bloody Stalin and the Jews are the reason for the death of 20milion Innocent people of Russia . sorry for all who died there .

  • Movie looks nice but story as always in russian movies is a propaganda (and lie).

But maybe I watch it. For chicks.

  • @Messenjah85 At least that story based on real events and most of the characters have the real life prototypes. In contrast to most of the Hollywood movies this one pretty historically accurate.;) The point is that real lie and propaganda makes you think that every russian movie is propaganda and lie. Think about it. ;)

  • This movie was a surprise, I stumbled on this movie by accident and I am very impressed. Saw the version with English subtitles. Very well done. Now I need to get a DVD version to add to my keeper collection.

  • @Klendathue

Glad you liked it i was the co producer of the movie. Please also go ahead and check out "Come and See" another great World War 2 movie set in the East.

  • 1:11 What the fuck ??

  • @minh1905 germans are killing running civilians(civilians are trying to go on the other side of the bridge)

  • Holy crap... did not expect this to be this awesome. Was on a list of stuff to watch while you wait for Red Orchestra 2, I'll have to check it out. Hopefully it has english subtitles.

  • @mbe102 It most certainly does have subtitles. I just watched it - it's a freaking fantastic movie.

  • It seems a great movie...I'd like see it in Brazil.

    Greetings from Brazil.

  • Breast Fortess :)

  • Great, great movie. The uniforms, buildings, weapons... everything looks real, the Germans too. The combat scenes and explosions are just amazing. A must-see for everyone who enjoys war movies/WW2.

  • Your cock is coming out of your pants, you're coming out of the plane.

  • A fort of boobs?

  • Zróbcie film o 17 IX 39 i o 22 IX 39!

  • sounds like a porn movie title

  • its scary thinking the germans in 6 months reached msocow imagine if they hade attacked in april

  • @jasincl They still would have lost cuz all the russian would fight to the death and never let nazis take over.

  • Only ONE SMALL BREST FORTRESS fight longer than ANY other Europen Counry!

  • Bullshit, the battle of Narva lasted for 8 months in 1944.

  • @JSLegoMaster ...but obviously this movie isn't about it.

  • Yeah but he said that brest fortress was the longest battle ever and thats just wrong

  • @JSLegoMaster Ok, I didn't see that. But you do know that Leningrad was under siege for 3 years? I'd say that was the longest battle. Anyway, it doesn't really matter. Cheers.

  • Or the Fort deaumont in Verdun, fought for 3 months

  • I'm guessing there is a part where they kill German civilians.... And then their own civilians

  • @boxxybrownn Eat dirt fucker

  • @boxxybrownn That part is just after the part in where ur fucking country rapes poor 3rd world countries 4 money motherfucker

And just 2 minutes after the part in where ur fucking country does inside jobs in order 2 create wars PIECE OF SHIT

  • Today is June 22, 2011. 70 years ago, Hitler made a huge mistake of breaching Soviet borders. Let us not forget.

  • @epsilon881 yeah and on May 1,1945, Hitler was repaid the favor of crossing the Soviet border

  • Wow in case people need to now more nazis died in this battle then the soviets

  • so this is wat i was watching with my dad. haha, thats funny, sucked most of the russians died

  • This is a very good war movie. One of the best ones after USSR collapsed.

No titts, no guts outside of bellies - just incredibly strong feelings caused by more sofisticated cinematographic means.

Silly Mikhalkov with his "Show me your titts" can never produce anything similar.

  • @tntn82 A lot of Russian movies are like that, the developers work more on the psychological level rather than just blood, guts and tits. The film "Come and See" about the German occupied territories of Belraus and what happened there while the Germans were there.

  • Where can I find this with English subs?? This movie looks EPIC!

  • @DCecil21 Search 4 this user here in Youtube: SubtitledRusMovies

  • yeah thats shit, germans can only shot civilian people and die against russians...

  • thing looks raw!

  • Awesome movie :) Thumbs up from Bulgaria .... if this movie is propaganda then 80 % of Hollywood movies are propaganda too

  • @galinrizov What, you even considered Hollywood movies to be anything else but propaganda?

  • @vukashin88 well there is a lot of 3D Animation and teenage movies and etc lol ...... kinda hard to see propaganda in those

  • @galinrizov

wow more people who hate hollywood

  • Comment removed

  • @ivanatinko .... I'm just sending a greeting from Bulgaria ......поздрав ye ?

  • @galinrizov no shit

  • @galinrizov ur mom

  • @galinrizov You are right mate, there is a deep history in CIA in hollywood.

  • @galinrizov Long live to Bulgaria! I love your country, my love is from there :)

  • @SchwarzAdler52 Thanks for all the love friend :))) right back at ya :)

  • @galinrizov blagodarya bratko! I just watched Vreme na nasile, awesome movie! Shibani turci! :D

  • @Bokanet Cry more buddy. Im watching it far away from Siberia so you lose :)

  • @JoostShino ohh wow, such an ignorant comment. I must agree with him another propaganda film. I would like to see russians make one about the Gulags, deportations, siberia, their rape of occupied territories.

  • @MrAquarius7 You make it sound like Hollywood, or any other equivalent never makes any movies that might well be propaganda. Which makes not mine, but yours the ignorant comment.

  • @JoostShino I never mentioned Hollywood, nor did I mentioned the west making movies in general. My statement made no move towards labelling west movies as good.

Therefore you have not understood what I have written, and are simply playing the blame game. West doesn't make true movies, but as well as east -> propaganda movies, however Hollywood is more open than Russia - allowing them to create good war movies such as The Pacific mini-series, The fall. Russian have very little of the equivalent

  • @MrAquarius7 Again, another typical "Western" viewer. You would always try to focus on the bad side of the Soviets wouldn't you? The Brest fortress did hold out for 9 days. Wouldn't you call films about D-Day propaganda? I see that the West did relatively little in WW2 comparing to the Soviets, who at some time kept 2/3 of the Wehrmacht busy in the Eastern Front.

  • @leminh91 Western viewer? I live in Latvia you stupid fuck. I know more about eastern front than you can possibly imagine. My grandfathers fought in Wermach SS Latvian 15/19 Divisions. It is not that Russians don't make movies about true events - it's that they never criticize themselves. They killed more innocents that the Germans, but still blame everything on Germans. D-Day movies are mostly true, however exaggerated. But never have I seen a Russian movies which criticizer their own side.

  • @MrAquarius7 ofcourse not or do you call russia a democracy?

  • @MrAquarius7 I don't remember the Soviet Union killing more than 30 million innocent people. Yes, Stalin killed a few million of his own people and some people from the Baltic during the the last 30's and the pact with Hitler, but the Soviet Union, in no way killed more innocent people than the Germans. I am Russian, so it won't be a surprise to me if you respond with spikes to this. This movie was made about the heroic defense of the fortress, not the events before or after.

  • @MrAquarius7 You've got your own prejudices here, I can understand, especially you're from Latvia. Apologies.

  • @leminh91 "West did releatively little in WW2"???? Sorry but that's a bunch of bullshit and I don't even dignify that with the fricken details. I think it's pretty dumb to say "these guys" or "those guys" did more or less when in fact everyone did quite alot and alot of blood was spilled. There was reason for the name "the Allies" in WWII.

  • @myster1234 Totally but all the ameriacians did was go and fight the japs and the only ones who fought to the death aganist the nazi were the red army (brits fought in africa.)

  • @FluffylittleAnimals The Americans and British invaded Western Europe and fought the Nazi Germans back to Nazi Germany. The Soviets fought the Germans on the Eastern front and pushed them all the way back to the Germany as well. The Soviets were given aid and supplies from the US, there was an alliance and its amazing how both sides fought and died together to destroy the Nazis but tragic to only to later bump heads in the Cold War.

  • @myster1234

Actually, the contribution by the Russian is much more higher than the western allies. Think about it, Germany with 80% of its forces invaded Russia in mid-1941 while the western allies invasion (aka D-DAY) started at mid-1944. Plus, the aids by US is mainly Sherman Tank and anti-craft where Russian considered the Sherman tank failure as it is not adapted for multi-terrain in Russia land and no match for the German Panzer. It was hell in eastern front for the Russian.

  • the germans looked like they we're kicking ass

  • @kicking46 That's what they did in the first two years. But then something changed. It wasn't the Winter or the thousands of tanks that were manufactured and sent to the front. I believe it was the very spirit of the Russian people.

  • i though there were gonna be titts in this movie

  • @TheTommyKay what a pervert... lol

  • Good film, however 'Come & See' (Иди и смотри) by Elem Klimov remains the most powerful film on this subject that I have seen.

    Враг не пройдёт!

  • @AnEnemy100: you are right...i saw Come and See because of you.... kudos to you. Thank you!

  • i thought this was a porno when i saw the title

  • whats the name of the song ?

  • Comment removed

  • So this is about a whole Russian community fighting off the nazi invaders? WOW!

  • @eguil52 this aint just a movie nor is it a propoganda film, my grand parents fought this battle...these were the first days and casualties of war

  • Thanks for sharing this trailer, I really would like to see this - but sadly I can't seem to get a hold of it over here in the UK which sucks.
