Creatures have fear in-built as a survival instinct, and that donkey knew it was in danger and therefore would have been utterly horrified.

Did the animal enjoy this experience? Fine, there is a slight percent chance that it did. But, you shouldn't place human emotions upon an animal. Tell me why a donkey would enjoy this experience.

Any animal that has no understand or control of its situation will exhibit fear. Now, if the donkey was gradually trained and prepared for this, it might be a different story.
