what spanx version is the one you have? I had one like that before from spanx, but it did not have the straps.

Also with those enhancers that you have, how do you get them to stay put in swimware? Does your swimware have something to hold it in like a pocket or do they manage to stay put on their own?

@RockabillyVegan I'm not sure what they're called but they're easy to find on the Spanx site. These enhancers kind of 'stick' to you after they warm to your body. I wouldnt do any really heavy swimming but you can definitely wear them in the water.

depending on the type of waist-cincher, sometimes they help with back support too. lol. I have a high-back waist-cincher (it literally pushes ALL fat into the boobs) and when i hurt my back a few weeks ago, I wore it and it took the pressure off my hurt muscles. I love it.

A great place to get corsets for plus size gals is Isabella Corsetry. She custom makes them to your measurments. And I think she is reasonably priced for the amount of work that goes into them. I have 2 under-the-busts that I wanted for under clothing, and I love them. One bit of advice though when measuring the length make sure you go from under the breast and not from your bra, there is a big difference when your a big chested girl.

could you please do a vid on thigh highs/ stockings? i find that all of the ones i buy are tight fitting on my thigh and make it hard for my garter belt to hook on to. i have bought many pairs of stockings from websites and they are always way too tight and cut into my thigh instead of sitting on my thigh... thanks!

@malumamore Have u tried plus sized or queen sized stockings? Kate Donavan is a plus sized gal and she wears stockings a lot...even if u aren't 'plus sized' otherwise, you might find them ore comfortabe.

Do you have any suggestions for tall girls? I've found with waist cinchers, girdles, etc that the typical one it not long enough and I end up with a gap between the girdle type garment and my bra. Since I have some fat to spare, that gap bulges in a very unattractive manner. I'm not sure if this is because I'm too heavy and should try a corset like you suggested or if 6'2 is just too tall for typical undergarments. I'd really love some advice!

thanks for the great video! thought i'd share my favorite vintage-inspired bra: its called 'the hickory' by fayreform. like a bullet bra but has soft cups so doesn't give such an extreme point. apparently its been in production since the 50s and they've never changed the way its made. i love it. it works really well under my vintage dresses. i find bust darts in these dresses indicate that breasts should sit a certain way and most modern bras don't accommodate that but this one does! cheers x

@rainbowangel58 All of these tips still apply. Longline bras and other bras can be gotten in larger sizes as well...check out 'her room dot com'. I believe they carry larger sizes than Mybabyjo.

Oh, dear, I have some very old long line bra from when my mother was young and it has the pick-shape for the breast, it is amazing. Shame I used it for one of my fancy dresses and I spoiled it a bit, now I regret it.

I have a lot of vintage dresses and the most important piece of undergarment for me is dress shield. Kleinert's site has a bunch of different ones, I love the batiste cotton valara. They protect you dress from sweat stains and keep you from looking wet or smelly :)

Hi! Thought I would share some undergarment for vintage tips that have worked for me. First, if you don't want to wear a bullet bra, try the Bali Flower 108. Gives a more natural shape, NO grapefruit! Also, I have found that wearing slips, weather full, half, etc helps smooth out your vintagy shape wear under your clothes. Sophia, I am 5'2" and have had a lot of success with Berkshire brand stockings. I get mine on Amazon. I wonder if the clips on your garter are stretched and need to be replac

@Abscynthe It depends on the occasion but I definitely wear them all day. I have worn my waist cincher 24 hours before. :) I don't recommend that though. The spanx are easy to wear...very breathable. Ladies of the 50's wore this kind of stuff all day...you can too. :)

@MadiLives No...you'd have to have someone else do that part for you, probably. But the waist cinchers close in the front...hook and eye closure.

@MadiLives there is a way to tie corsets at the back to make them easier to do up. what you do is tightly lace from the top to about half way down, pull out some slack and tie a secure bow in the middle and leave it tied like this. Then all to have to do is cinch it from the middle down and tie another secure bow at the bottom...it also means that with practice you can simply unhook the front, untie the bottom bow and shimmy out of it. hope this helps :)

i have a hard time finding thigh highs that stay up even with a garter belt they fall down either by getting stretched out or coming unhooked im not sure if its cause im getting them to small cause when i go up a size they're too big and bunch at the ankles as well as fall i cant seem to win this battle lol do you have any advise or can you recommend a brand that might work better (i usually buy them at fredericks)?

@sophiam87 The What Katie Did stockings are really good quality. Those are the ones I buy. But without a garter belt they don't stay up for me...I don't buy the sticky ones at fredericks or elsewhere...I get a rash from the sticky stuff.

@sophiam87 You can also try Secrets in Lace, they are in the US and will help you find the right size as well. Sometimes you can catch a sale and get the stockings for a pretty good price too.

OH also general tip...when buying a corset ONLY go for FULL STEEL BONED ones.....all others will warp and become very unflattering where as steel boning over a few wares moulds to your individual shape set by your ribs and hips
