Nice. I did exactly that. removed the bolts that held the toilet to the floor and disconnected the water to the tank. however, I cant dislodge the toilet from the floor. What could be the reason? I'm a 170 lb man trying to lift the toilet and it seems to be stuck to the floor real tight? Any ideas?
Yup! Removed it, replaced the floor and put it back in place with a new wax ring. Worked out just fine.
However, it wasnt easy. I used a crow-bar sort of device to reach under the toilet and pry it up. It was stuck real tight. I almost had to stand on the crowbar. but I was almost ready to break the toilet if necessary since its anyways an old one. A decision i would have regretted later for sure. :)
He took off the tank and the bowl together. Does anyone know if there is a danger of breaking the tank? Say if he wanted to turn the toilet upside down and see if anything on the bottom side need cleaning?

Did you ever manage to move it from the floor?
