  • not -only- because of her assets

  • Seven of Nine is one of my favorite characters, and not because of her assets.

  • "I've been kidnapped"

    lol

  • ( . )( . )

  • if the Borg were to assimilate Iceland would they become the Bjork.

  • @darrenholcomb42 That was the greatest comment evar

  • @Foxstab nope she gets Borg multiple personality disorder.

  • So I take it before the borg assimilated her she was a Ferengi?

  • I swear I can hear her queefing when she moves.

  • Thats my mom at macy,s with the ole man credit card....lol

  • "never felt better!" *pats belly* lolz!

  • what did the ratings actually do when she came on first time without armor plating etc.. ?? serious question i'm curious....

  • @goodwolf359 Her introduction was the highest-rated episode in the show's history excluding 9 of the first 10. The several episodes directly following it followed the normal decline that follows a season premier, but remained higher than their counterparts from other seasons. That may have been in part because of good writing and advertising, because I remember that was a period where they made many changes and the show's promotions were very visible.

  • @goodwolf359 the ratings peaked the first few episodes after she was introduced due to bigger publicity, but it is a stubborn rumour that the character of 7o9 actually saved the series. In reality, the ratings dropped below the numbers of the third season.

  • Damn, it just goes to show that Jeri Ryan was such a good actor...so naturally the demean her character by having her walk around in heals and a catsuit.

    Star Trek! Progressive Science fiction!

  • That poor women-thing. Her sickness stole almost all of her butt cheeks.

  • The view count is Binary - 101,001

  • She walks just like a Ferengi too.

  • She/he was right about the number of beds in sick bay.

  • When she joined the show the ratings probably went nuclear, she was a great addition to the show and well let's be honest, I would watch Jerri Ryan read a phone book.

  • Love Jeri, good actor and great sense of humor, and great head on her shoulders. In a way some people actually undersell her because she is extremely attractive, but she is the complete package.

  • shes a jew

  • she's so cute!

  • Socialized medicine? I thought this was supposed to be the past, why is Starfleet stuck in some hellish Soviet timewarp?

(Fwiw I'm joking,Star Trek made me a lefty by the end of fourth grade.)

  • Dear Youtube. I'd like to take this chance to inform you of a misconception you've seemed to form based on my viewing of TNG and TOS clips along with some fan made Wars vs Treks clips. I am indeed a fan of ToS and TNG. As such I would appreciate your linking to Voyager and Enterprise clips and the tng movies to cease. As I stated, I'm a trek fan, I don't watch that berman and braga shite. I believe a science officer should talk like the computer but not have more silicone than it does in it.

  • @Fektthis if you don't like Berman and Braga, better quit wacthing TNG. Also, Jeri is all natural, so I don't get the silicone remark. I agree B&B made some bad decisions, but their shows weren't horrible, I've seen worse.

  • @greenrangerv1 brandon braga wasn't a writer on tng until 91, half way into the series. he was not the only writer either. ryan's boobs are fake. she admitted it on anderson cooper. she got the implants as a teenager. not even sure how you could even mistake them for real.

  • @Fektthis although, i agree, his tng stuff wasn't nearly as bad as the later. others had fleshed out the characters before he got there is why imagine this is so. seriously how well developed are the supporting cast in voyager or enterprise. which before you say it, yes, that was a big problem with tos as well.

  • My My look at the size of that thing!

  • This is the episode when everyone realized Jerri Ryan could act and felt bad for her.

  • Galaxy Class?

    Ugh... Intrepid

    LOL, huge difference!

  • Seven: "I've never felt better!"

    Janeway: "Uh... look down"

Seven: "What are you... WOAH WHERE DID THOSE COME FROM THEY'RE HUGE!"

  • reminds of Mr.Krabs with that question: "Is it free?!?"

  • I'm disturbed...

  • jesus janeway's original voice sounds awful...

  • @queenguruh her original voice? what?

  • I'd deal her.

  • I had tried to forget this scene. That poor actress, talented and beautiful, acting the hell out of that part but given lines written by idiots.

  • she's hot

  • Love this one!

  • lol! xD hahaha<3 :)

  • Jeri Ryan's a good actress. Pity they had her dressed as a bimbo for the series.

  • @jimbopumbapigsticks every movie i've seen her in she IS a bimbo. the thinking behind her costume was that she's borg. borg are about efficiency. purring her in a three piece suit would not be efficient. the clothes would get caught or something. getting your sleeve caught on a loose screw in a jefferies tube during a ship battle could cost lives. having to spend time on putting clothes on means less time you have to use to do your job.

  • why dunt this ferengi turd realise he is in a human womans body. or that he was asimilated

  • one of my favorite Voyager episodes :D

  • 0:00 - 0:11 That's what she said.

  • It costs money to exist to me. My time is valuable.

  • "I've been kidnapped!!!" Ha ha ha !!!

  • This episode just reinforced Jeri Ryan's acting ability as brilliant. I thought she deserved an award for her acting. She truly was an amazing and talented as well as beautiful addition to the cast.

  • Kate Mulgrew HATED the idea of introducing a sexy female character on the show,Seven of Nine. She felt it demeaned the quality of the series for the sake of ratings by focusing on the prime audience of the show,15 -30 year old males! Sorry Cap'n, you were dead wrong! The quality of Jeri Ryan's work speaks for itself! Her range of acting seemed unlimited and every episode that did not allow her to shine was forgetable. On a personal note, I prefered episodes with Seven in a Starfleet uniform...

  • this is one of my favorite episodes!

  • Wow I never saw this episode. I am not typically a big fan of this sort of thing though (silly characters, or characters acting out of character), not sure why, really.

  • Oh, THAT episode! lol...

  • Look, she really can act!

  • @EGRJ Jeri Ryan is a wonderful actress. Unfortunately, being cast as an emotionless cyborg doesn't exactly leave a lot of room for creative expression.

But hell, at least she was stuck with the role for only 4 years and the character was allowed to explore her humanity from time to time. Poor Tim Russ was stuck as a Vulcan for 7 years... Even Brent Spiner was able to play with Data's exploration of human emotion for most of TNG's run...

  • @Dargonhuman Yeah, but isn't it harder to be expressionless? Jeri Ryan is normally a very upbeat, cheery person, so this shows her skill in acting. Plus there was that episode where she had to play the doctor... 'Body and Soul', I believe. Now THAT was hilarious. XD

  • @Doorstop1227 Yea, it was Body and Soul. I agree, that was an amazing episode for her; I honestly think she deserves and acting award for that one.

That being said, I never said it was easy being emotionless, just confining for an actor's creativity.

  • @Dargonhuman Agreed. :3

  • Lol XD

  • Given Ferengi attitudes towards women (in particular, their law prohibiting women from wearing clothes), imagine if it had noticed it was in a female body. If that had happened, Voyager would still be going strong.

  • @randomface54 And probably switched to HBO lol!

    ...

But damn that would have been worth it...

  • @Dargonhuman Not in the UK my freind. All they would have had to do over here is put it on after 9pm (the "watershed" for all the violence, swears and HBO programmes).

Odd (or fortunate) that 9pm is pretty much the exact time all the teenagers settle down in their rooms with homework and dinner out of the way and put the TV on.

  • @randomface54 That's fine for UK-produced programming, but Voyager was made in the US and had to adhere to US network rules.

On that, though, violence and most swearing is ok after 7pm here, but graphic nudity is still off-limits at all times on network TV. You have to subscribe to premium channels to get that.

  • @Dargonhuman They did broadcast Voyager in the UK though, as well as unrelated HBO programmes without the need for premium channels. We just have to wait a few weeks from the US release before most American stuff is broadcast over here, as is probably true with British programmes in the US.

  • @randomface54 Yes I get that. My point was, if Seven got nekkid and they showed boobs, it would have instantly gone to HBO status lol.

  • @Dargonhuman So come to the UK, we don't care about TV content after 9pm. So here it would stay on the regular channel, just later at night.

  • @randomface54 I would (this country is pretty much screwed) but my gf doesn't want to leave where we're at.

  • @Dargonhuman Just a heads-up, currently Britain has a Conservative (sort of posh Republican) government and the EU membership's bleeding us dry so we're pretty screwed as well.

  • @Dargonhuman True, but I think the show is already top status without that.

  • The show itself is really Khul!!! It's too bad that it's been running on for so many years that a lot of people in N. A. are simply tired of it.(Make a cooler show for the Trekies!!!

    Happy Halloween!!

    Regards, Pixie und Ro:))

  • I've been kidnapped!!!!!!

  • I love this scene :D :D :D

  • Free=Ferengi bait. Works every time.

  • 8 people are ferengi...

  • What fun! Borg and Ferengi, two of my favorite alien races. : D

And the Doctor and Seven are also two of my favorite characters, fancy that! : )

This episode I don't recall, I'll have to check it out. It could be the two Ferengi that were stranded in the Delta Quadrant or the Ferengi interfering with the Long Range Deep Space Aray that allowed for communication with earth. ???

  • @TheRadical42 The two Ferengi stranded in the Delta Quadrant were in the episode 'False Profits' , Season 3 Episode 5. They also escaped back to the Alpha quadrant via the Barzon (?) wormhole. Haven't gotten to the other episode with the Long Range Deep Space Array yet...

  • I will ASSIMILATE your offers!

  • @okjoek "We are the Borengi, haggling is futile."

  • "Obsolete Instruments" and she tosses it behind herself and he just manages to catch it, lol.

  • I'd never insult those... "ears"...

  • 0:27 Capt. Janeway: "Your Ferengi?" Seven: "Of course i'm Ferengi! That some kind of insult about the size of my ears!" LOL

  • Who cares about anything she says or does, when you look that good you just ...well ..look

  • i love this ep cauase it centers around my fav character and she is great during this part and the part where she was a klingon and that part wen she did the vulcan and the little girl. Forget it this whole ep was great jeri ryan is an awesome actress

  • i miss her boobs...uhm i mean her actors talent:)

  • @Mishai87 LOL

  • What episode is this?

  • Know seeing seven act normal instead of pervection , this was hilarious

  • four people are verengan h'DiBah (s). That's klingon for ferengi dogs.

  • just been watching that episode!!!!!

  • This was great!

  • The entire point of this episode was to give her something fun to do.

  • WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO BRING BACK THIS AMAZING SHOW??????

  • Free of chardge and hi start to make list of ilnes hi have. Typical Ferengi :-D

  • you've got to love Jeri. She's so diverse in her acting skills.

  • change ears to nose and shazam! you have a space jew

  • Love this!

  • I love this! OMG I sooooooo want to see more of Seven! Bring her back an another show, pleeeeeeeeeease!!! Much love to Jeri Ryan!!!

  • @terrywest111 I've seen her on a bunch of shows. I know she was on Leverage, and Psych. She's a regular on Body of Proof, but I'm not sure if it's off air until fall or if it was cancelled.

  • @Pepper9873 They've just renewed it for a second season. It comes on like Sept. 20 or something

  • I'VE BEEN KIDNAPPED!

     lmaoooooo

  • Not only incredibly sexy, but also really good actress

  • When Seven of Nine appeared on the show the ratings and alot of other things increased in size ;-)

  • 7 of 9 plays the SEXIEST Ferengi EVER!

  • Lindsey Wagner (bionic woman) has just been dethroned as the sexiest cyborg in television history....

  • one of the best episodes... :) ...I think the inhibitor's gone off-line :D ...

  • She plays such a good Ferengi, me I would be cracking up

  • @skilly123 Nah? Is that an agreement, disagreement, confusion or what? Please clarify your answer.

  • @skilly123 Who says the Ferengi knew if they were obsolete or not? More likely trying to convice J and D to take her (7/9's gender since the Ferengi's is not mentioned, authough it is most likely male) up on the offer of new supplies, whether they were good quality or not, especially with a 30% commission. Typical Ferengi profit-mongerers

  • "....FREE?! WELL THEN!!" Haha. Man... Latinum bars, Galaxy Class... All of this makes me miss my time on Star Trek Online. Plus, I think I may start watching Voyager now XD

This 7 of 9 character is AMAZING.

  • That is definitely the best impersonation of a Ferengi, other than my banker of course.

  • It`s free of charge :D

  • her physical comedy and capture of ferengi mannerisms... and fast-talk

  • wow seven looked hot.

  • All Janeway has to say to get the Ferengi into sickbay is "have you noticed you don't have a penis anymore?"

  • Comment removed

  • @amanda3643 i'll watch that after the haunting of deck 12

===seven makes a great ferengi! lol!

  • She is an AWESOME actress! xD I'd buy from her. xDD

  • Everyone's all "duuuuh, seven's hot, duuuuh" and they totally miss how much more JR and Seven gave to the show besides a hot bod.

  • @UnanimousDelivers actually, no one who ever watched one episode missed that!

  • OMG I LOVE this episode!!! LOL she is great!

  • she is an amazing actress ^_^ i love her.

  • This is almost painful to watch.

  • @JemmWells why?

  • I've been kidnapped! Lmao

  • what epiosde is this?

  • @weinmj

    Infinite Regress

  • @amanda3643 TY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @amanda3643 i'll watch that after the haunting of deck 12

  • Voyager got soooooo much better when Seven replaced Kes, who was even more boring than Harry Kim.

  • @Rainb0wSeven

Oh, I disagree. I LOVED Kes. She was kind and caring, and yet if you pissed her off, BAM, psychic force feedback!

  • @Fuleadeare

So, you're a woman? Or gay?

  • @Rainb0wSeven

    Both

  • @Fuleadeare boom! headshot.

    = good comeback

  • @maisirmoltesen

    Lawlz

  • @Fuleadeare Only in Fury, when Kes comes back; older and really pissed off at Janeway. Kes remains the only entity in the known universe who is able to defeat Janeway in an exchange of Death-Glares.

J: Gets pissed off, makes eye-contact, victim wets him/herself

K: Gets pissed off, makes eye-contact, victim gets thrown into bulkhead.

The problem with Kes was she was too nice and became annoying, much like Deanna Troi, Seven added confrontation to the lines. Also, Seven was much hotter!

  • @randomface54 I think Kes being so nice is one reason she has two episodes of being a complete badass

  • @Kimmuryiel 2 episodes? There was fury in season 7, but I don't know of another badass Kes episode. Which one did you mean?

  • @randomface54 season 3, episode 10 "Warlord" where Kes's body gets taken over by an alien dictator named Adin...so, technically not Kes but meh :P

  • @Kimmuryiel Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. There was a scene where Adin and Kes were talking (telepathic connection due to the shared body), Kes was pretty badass in that scene as herself.

  • Shows how good an actor she is.

  • yes she is

  • @cjgrayside She really rocks this episode. It's a radical change from the normally straight faced Borg she plays in this series...She is a fine actor which shows itself in how effortlessly and accurately she plays all the different characters in this episode.

  • @cjgrayside She is good Ferengi :-)

  • In the context of this episode this scene is a little worrying.

  • omfg thts so funny

  • As usual everything is illogical in star trek. Funny as hell though.

  • she's a pretty good actress, I remember this ep and she had to switch to like 10 completely different personalities randomly

  • I'm laughing my ass off xD This is sooooooo funny!!!!!!!!!!!! Love seven :P

  • LOL Seven of Nine plays a good Ferengi

  • cool to be able to watch J. Ryan on a different register..
