@seroyer2 funny, this bridge is part german engineering, part british building. the only thing french about it is the village of millau beneath it. nevertheless a great bridge, will be going there this may to see this great structure with my own eyes.
@olruchimaru it's in the south of french, northwest of montpellier, west of the nearest nature parc

@mcnag Sorry to disappoint you but this bridge is completely French engineering, the company that determine the structure and patented building system is Eiffage (world leader) and two other civil construction companies on the podium are also French (Vinci and Bouygues). France is the world leader in civil engineering, design of tunnel, bridge, highway networks ect...our companies sell their know-how in the world and are recognized for their excellence.
i'm from france and i've been there in a convertible and i felt the cool wind rushing over me! (I've also been there many times in a normal car) :) It really is incredible. I hope you get the time to visit it because it's worth the trip! and the way he says millau is so incorrect it's not even funny :P

Thx for the vid.
But I hate how the journalist says Millau. He says something like Mi-low or Mi-law.
In reality, its Mi like Milk and yo like york (about).

@mcnag French engineering. Leading architect was British but achitecture really has nothing to do with structure.
adamlewis934 10 months ago
@adamlewis934 you might have a point, but still it's not completely french
@shutdafup I think it took 3 minutes to cross it when I did it and I drove about 80 km/h ;)

It's amazing what mankind can construct now days. Its also beautiful, not that I would expect any less from the French as far as architecture goes.
